I've got a suggestion for @roswell. You could have it that you can save up for different avatars OR maybe you can save up for new fonts OR for a little kitty to go in your siggie or something like that.
Then forum money could not only be used for requests, but for buying stuff, too.

Installing fonts would be site wide, not for one individual if I remember how the plugin works.
As for the different avatars, the little kitty, etc., it’s possible but who is willing to contribute is a big question.

I myself would be willing to create some little kitties on my art program.
It'd just mean there'd be about 4-5 different ones you could buy.
