Mika gave a small nod and closed the door as she passed through. He adjusted the animal hide around his shoulders and he cleared his throat a bit as he organized his thoughts. "My name is Mika. I don't have too many rules for the house, but what I do have is important to listen to. Stay out of the cellar and don't mess with the alchemy lab. Those sort of magics are volatile and dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. Second, don't mess with the plants in the garden unless I ask you to. Those are my ingredients, and they're important. Lastly, don't wander without me. Just because I paid the hunters for you doesn't mean someone won't take you away elsewhere. Humans wandering the city alone usually go missing. The few who have turned up since their disappearance are usually dead or missing pieces."

Mika looked a bit amused at that. "I don't catch human sicknesses. But give me a few days to put get something brewed and that should clear it right up." He replied. At least she didn't seem so spiteful now that she was out of the cage. He looked over her clothes, unable to not be concerned with the raggedness of her apparel. He could replace it, probably what he'd do... but he didn't have anything that would fit her stature. "I have a guest room upstairs. You can take that for yourself and try to rest a while. There's some dried fish in the kitchen if you're hungry."

Mika shook his head slightly at her statement, trying to dismiss it. He picked up a few of the books from different stacks and sat down on the couch, flipping through them as he checked the best way to go about a potion for an unidentified sickness. If he matched up the symptoms he'd seen, he should be able to come up with something effective.

As morning rolled around, Mika woke up from where he'd fallen asleep at his station. He rubbed his eyes a moment and he looked over the equipment. He guessed another day until the potion was actually ready for use. He pulled the animal hide off of the back of the chair and around himself once again. He took a short second, catching the scent of salt and seawater as it drifted upward off of the hide. He headed up the stairs to the first floor, walking over to the kitchen to start breakfast.

Mika started up the stove and boiled a pot of water. He started mixing together a few pieces of the dried fish, chopped potato, milk, and some edible herbs from the gardens that worked for cooking as well as alchemy. He let it boil into a stew to help with Becca's cold and the cold morning. He was still a little worried about having a human in the house, and he wanted to ask someone about what exactly he was supposed to do differently now. He supposed he'd have to buy her a change of clothes after his next potion route, but there wasn't much he could do at this point. He decided for now, the best course of action was to give her a set of his clothes to actually keep her warm until she had something of her own. Maybe he could afford to take the walk down to the shoreline for a break... He'd really appreciate the chance to swim and put his mind to ease. But if the human was sick, she probably didn't want to go..

Mika was mostly concerned in his thoughts, he barely remembered to grab a second bowl from the shelf. He stopped when he heard footsteps on the stairs. He wasn't entirely sure he really wanted anything to do with this human yet, but he'd kind of confined her to the house, so he had no choice than to deal with her living here. Even if he decided he didn't want her here at all, he couldn't exactly turn her loose in the woods. It would only be a matter of time before someone found and caught her again.
He used the ladle he'd been stirring the stew with to fill the bowls. A knock at the door pulled his attention and he set everything down, heading over to answer.

Mika shook his head at her question. "No, I've got it. Go ahead and grab a bowl off the counter." He told her as he turned the door knob.
He opened the door and looked out. The creature who had knocked offered him a small wave and passed him a piece of paper. "Hey, I have a written list of potions I need. You've brewed these for me before, right?"
Mika looked over the paper and nodded as he read. "Yeah. Expect delivery in two days. They payment should be the same, too."
"Alright, thank you." The creature gave a dip of their head and walked back down the front steps. Mika closed the door with the potions request still in his hand and he looked over it one more time. He had all his ingredients he'd need, he just needed to start working on that... At least while the human was sick, she probably wouldn't be up and moving around all too much to have to be supervised.
