Applefrost had been nowhere to be found during the ordeal. Silently he crept back into camp from the farther entrance and his green eyes glimmered as he surveyed the clan, composed himself and came out to the open. The deputy approached Roseclaw and in the most charming voice he could muster, "Excuse me? I know you're awful busy but would you like me to assign a patrol for any herbs?"

Frostheart raised her head at Blackstream padded over from the medicine cats den. "Took you long enough." She commented with a playful roll of her eyes. He purred as he nudged her shoulder.
"I'm sorry, who left while I was taking on the badger by myself?" He asked as she pointedly glared at him.
"You told me to go get help!" She retorted sharply, to which he chuffed in amusement.
"I know, I'm just giving you a hard time." He teased as he licked her ear. He looked her over, checking her wounds to make sure she was all right. "Are you hurt badly? I can go get Roseclaw." He offered. Frostheart shrugged him off.
"Geez will you stop? I'm fine, they're just scratches..." She muttered |

Frostheart and Blackstream were taking a well deserved nap in a sunny patch within the camp. Blackstream raised his head slightly as he heard someone coming out of the medicine cats den. Seeing as it was Roseclaw herself, the gray tom lazily stretched before getting up and padding over to her. "How are they?" He asked as he sat down next to her. |

Blackstream visible became less tense at the good news. He let out a sigh of relief as he silently thanked Starclan. He glanced over at Roseclaw for a moment. "Can I ask you something?" He asked, his tone becoming more serious for a moment. "As medicine cat, do you get lonely?" He asked, giving her a side glance. "Do you wish you could take a mate and have kits? Are you envious of the cats who can?" Without waiting for her he chuckled and shook his head.
"I'm sorry, that was insensitive of me..." He trailed off as he looked up at the sky, watching a bird flutter by overhead. "I was just curious about your feelings I suppose. You are the clans medicine cat, there's not doubt your important, I just wanted to know if any cat ever asked you how you felt about things." He said with a smile. |
