Both, actually. Ever since I got Medibang it's been mostly digital, but before that it was nothing but pencil & paper. I'd occasionally color things in, but I'd get so many ideas that it's hard to dedicate myself to a piece like that anymore. Something about a computer file dedicated to each picture makes it easier to focus on the digital pieces until I finish them though. Also, I'm much better using pencil (10+ years) than digital (occasional dabbling on MS Paint before I discovered Medibang earlier this year) so I'll sketch something, take a picture of it then download it, convert it into a file then use it on Medibang.)

Ooo maybe. The thing is, I don't have wifi. I'm almost always on mobile, even now. Medibang and my pc both work offline, and all I need is the USB connection from my phone charger to download files from my pc onto the phone. But if tinypic and imgur don't work on mobile (I've heard of them but never used them) then it's all for naught until I can find time to visit my parents or an Internet cafe)

I can't think of a better term for it, but I will definitely stop if you'd like, and just call him a deredere (or mothatruckin CUTEEEE) I'm American, which I'm sure is obvious ehe but I try to be as culturally sensitive as possible. And cool! I'll check it out, thanks! Also yeah, I understand. Like, the word Shota doesn't exactly bother me because I've always seen it used more for a boy's appearance, especially in the art community, but Shotacon makes my stomach twist like eugh because it's basically "****phile complex", I think. But I'll stop lol. I would call him kawaii but that honestly makes me cringe like stop, America. You're trying too hard. I honestly feel embarrassed for my own country. I use terms as descriptors for characters, but I don't just throw out random stuff like that. Weeaboo, otaku, kawaii/kawaii-desu, doki-doki, etc etc I mean the culture is great, I love it, but there's something about the way we use the terms and such that screams "STEREOTYPE" ughhh. Sorry I'm just rambling now, my country just embarrasses me a lot in this aspect.)

★ ━ ♦ ╸☠╺ ♦ ━ ★ His... head was pounding and his body ached a bit like he had just fell on the floor. He was a bit chilled and one... a wooden floor? Had Katashi pushed him out of bed again? Figured. He didn't mean it, but it happened every now and then, which made him a little irritable in the mornings, his back easily getting sore from such a thing as well as his neck. Though, the floor seemed really cold. Had their mother turned off the heat that night in another one of her hot-flashes?
How cruel. His own twin brother and his mother working against him in the early mornings. Still, there was a bit of drowsiness that made him just want to stay still, even if for a little while longer...
. . .
This was one of Ikari-kun's last activity with the group while in school. He was a third year, about the graduate from high school and be thrown into the world of adulthood and responsibilities. Which meant while everyone else got a year older and were still studying in Kisaragi Academy, he would be out doing whatever he had planned next in his life, leaving behind these days spent after class in the spare classroom of 2-11. Whether it was studying together and helping out each other with homework, or just fooling around with random things that had come to their minds, this small group of eight friends had become quite close. Last year they had lost two members of their "club", the Himitsu Club as they would call it and actually got teacher approval to call it a club, the irony of the name making it so known. The "secret" club of their friendship was their way of doing things together from holding their own weird meetings after school to planning actual events for the school.
While there used to be ten members, two had graduated in the year before, leaving with only eight of them, soon to be seven, unless they were to invite another member into their midst. Shinoda Momiji and Mochi Kyo, both males that were of last year's class 3-8. They had been quite drastically different from one another, but being cousins, they had an interesting dynamic. Momiji and Kyo had both technically started the club, however, it was really Momiji that had done it and invited the others around into it. He had this energetic, happy energy about him, his care-free and gentle, yet childish manner seeming to attract quite a few people. Kyo, on the other hand, was more withdrawn than his cousin, but was still a bit open, though formal. He was kind of like the shadow leader while Momiji was the leader in heart. Two spots that had been entrusted to two of the members now in the darkened abandoned classroom within Kisaragi Academy. The two that Momiji and Kyo had entrusted their positions to were none other than Nanase-kun and Guo-san.
Outside, it was raining heavily, the sheets of rain hitting against the windows like mother nature wanted them to stay, wanted to keep this group of strange people that had familiarized themselves with one another together. Lightning flashed and lit up the room, a blinding white light that had light up the classroom that already had the power momentarily knocked out. It wasn't unusual for a storm storm around this time of year, but it tended to get everyone on edge either way.
"The storm is really picking up... ah... Satoshi, you didn't forget to bring a umbrella, did you?" one of the twins had asked, glancing over to his twin, whom was visibly identical in many ways. The one whom had spoken just now was known as Kishimura Katashi, whom didn't really give most people, even those in the club, permission to use his first name nor his twin's first name in his presence. Despite his normal rude behavior, when he had Satoshi around him, he was more apt to be kinder and more tolerant than that of how he was on his own. Of course, it wasn't often when he was by himself and without his brother.
"Mmm, I did. Okaasan made sure to tell me of the weather while you were getting dressed," the other twin replied, his blue eyes matching his twin's with a softer look about him. Kishimura Satoshi was the twin that was easier to get along with, being more understanding and gentle towards people. While he wasn't exactly trusting and was constantly up to no good with Katashi by his side, getting a bit more harsh and judgmental with the elder twin, he was still more tolerable and respectful than that of his twin.
Bowing their heads as everyone else around them went silent at the command, the only sound around them was the rain that seemed to be lightening up outside and the ticking of the hand on the clock. Eight times, they all had been told. Eight times they were to chant to activate the charm. Or whatever it was they were supposed to be doing, the twins hadn't quite listened in too much on that. But they did get the instructions down, at least.
"Sachiko, we beg of you."
This phrase was chanted silently eight times, one for each member of the group of friends. A girl's spirit, Satoshi vaguely recalled it being that of Shinozaki Sachiko, whom apparently had died or something, was to bless them with eternal friendship. He didn't really buy into the whole thing, but was doing it just for the sake of doing it. A part of him felt a little resentment that they didn't do with with Momiji nor Kyo, but what else was new? Constant disappoint was a thing in his life with everyone but Katashi. Maybe that was why he was so close to his brother.
Opening his eyes, Katashi lifted his head ever so slightly before Satoshi, both of them seeming to finish relatively at the same time. After a second more of waiting, everyone else seemed to be done as well. Good. The sooner this was done, the sooner they could go home.
Eight hands were gripping a paper charm, cut out precisely and carefully. The twins' had their hands right next to each other's, both of them now concentrating on getting ready to do the charm. While it wasn't really something they believed in or cared about, it meant something to the others and they were willing to participate in it, not really wanting to be left out. The two sixteen year old boys enjoyed this club and didn't mind the company of those around them here.
"We do it on the count of three, right?" Katashi asked, his voice a little more monotone then needed, resulting in a gentle nudge from his brother. He blinked over at the younger twin and then let out a silent small sigh. "To tear it apart until it rips? Almost sounds morbid if you ask me. It's like we're tearing apart a person." This resulted in another nudge.
"Let's just do it before my mind wanders about that. Wouldn't want the charm to fail." Satoshi's voice held a little more of a kinder tone, but the emotion in it was the same; he just wanted to get this done and over with. Charms, curses, spells, whatever. It was creepy and generally not something he'd enjoy.
The idle chatter died down as every had been commanded to pull apart the doll. On the count-down of three, they had pulled it apart. All eight of them at the same time. However, the second they did, the rain picked up even worse than before and lightning flashed and cracked outside, making the classroom seem to vibrate from the sound-wave of thunder. Satoshi's gut twisted a bit, not really liking the weather at the moment.
Putting his piece of paper in his student ID, Katashi doing the same, the younger of the Kishimura twins looked around, taking in the sight of the dulled lights. They had generally moved the classroom around to seem more like a living area to casually stick around, tailoring it to the clubs' likes. Padded chairs, a few tables here and there, a corner with a rug on the floor and bean-bag chairs were. It was amazing at how casual the room looked, from vases with fake flowers to an indoor pot with actual blooming flowers. It was... a safe place. A place where the twins could actually just... enjoy themselves.
Funny enough how even this small area that felt so warm and safe could be taken away so quickly.
The ground trembled and shook, the floor under Satoshi's feet no longer holding stable. An earthquake? Now of all times? Panic flared up in those stormy blue eyes of his, immediately going to look over at his brother, his hand reaching out to hold his. Balance was something that was hard to keep and he found himself falling down with a yelp, gritting his teeth as he bit the inside of his cheek.
A yelp came form both him and Katashi as a light fell down from the ceiling. Someone had commanded to move to one of the tables or spare desks that were in here. However, the ground seemed to move in a more violant fashion, making movement all but impossible. Vases fell and crashed to the floor, dirt spilling on the hard ground, flowers, living and fake alike, scattering around. The lights flickered on and off as more blubs came crashing down.
The worst wasn't even there yet.
In a moment of panic, Satoshi looked behind him and he felt his body freeze up with fear as Katashi began to pull him to his feet. Everything had moved in slow motion at that very moment, as if the world around him enjoyed his torment and fear. The floor... it was...
"Behind us!" Katashi's warning had been too late.
A black hole had appeared from no where, the ground that was so secure moments earlier now falling and vanishing into an endless dark pit. Satoshi's hand slipped from his brother's and fell back once again, in his horror, towards the pit that seemed to be growing closer and closer.
In the blink of an eye, there was nothing under him at all.
"Satoshi!" a panicked voice cried in terror, a hand harshly grabbing onto his arm at an awkward angle, making Satoshi give a small hiss of pain. Looking up, Katashi had let himself slip down to grab his twin, and was holding onto the edge of the floor that was still up. Even despite this... it was no use.
The floor had given away under everyone, everything disappearing. The hole that was was the floor had become darker and colder, gravity pulling them all down to an unknown, endless pit of black. The screams of everyone around him echoed in his ears, including his brother's as well as his own. Somewhere as the light began to fade, he felt something rip his hand away from Katashi's and panic ensnared him as he lost consciousness, faintly able to hear him call out for his brother.
. . .
This wasn't home.
Satoshi bolted up quickly, only to wince at his shoulder, giving it a gentle rub as his eyes focused on the dim lighting around him. He wasn't... anywhere that he knew of. The rain was pouring outside just as it had been before but... this was not a familiar surrounding. This classroom was old-school and far from looking like his own. Desks and chairs were strewn around and there were gaps in the floor that lead to a darker underneath. He didn't feel like getting close enough to figure out how far down it went and if someone could survive such a drop.
Standing up, his blue eyes settled around the area, scanning to find something familiar, something to let him know where he was. In a jolt, he realized he wasn't alone and was quick to scan the entire room for a familiar body. "Katashi?" he asked in a hesitant, soft voice. Then he repeated himself a little louder. But there wasn't an answer, not from his brother. The faint memory of his brother's hand being snatched away caused his heart to skip a beat and his stomach twist a bit.
However, he did see that there were two others in the room with him. Taking in a deep breath, he moved to go over by one of the desks. The floor creaked under his weight by one of the dark holes in the floor and his heart raced. The floor strained even more as he attempted to move over the desk, which wouldn't budge a single bit, as if it were a part of the floor.
Recognizing that familiar shape, he cleared his throat a little. "Oi, Guo-san! Are you alright?" Was she even awake? Wait. He heard something behind him and noticed that Nakamura-san was right behind him. He jolted a little in surprise and moved over to her side, gently shaking her on the shoulder. "Ah, Nakamura-san, please wake up!" She appeared to be breathing at least. And the same for Guo-san over across the room that was... strangely fixated in place, as if it were a part of a picture and refused to move.
Somewhere, on the second floor of a different dimensional space, within the only available classroom in that area that wasn't dangerous immediately, a similar male blinked open his eyes. He could have sworn he heard his brother's voice. "... Satoshi?"

Oh yeah, trust me. I live in the freaking Bible Belt of America. I'm actually baptist, but in case you couldn't tell I'm definitely nowhere near as narrow-minded as some of my Southern ancestors lol, but they were cringed AFFFFF. I'm also very Native American, so I feel your pain when people attempt to mimic our culture eeeeehhhhhhh
On the other hand, I didn't know it was used as an abbreviation! I thought Shota was like it's own descriptor word for like young boys and then Shotacon used it for ****s, but like people still differentiated the two. I see now!
The more you knooowww~!
And yeah, Loli on the other hand is just no thank you. Maybe it's because I connected with it one a female level ..? Idk.)
