--Hey, just jump in if you want, no description required, have some fun.
This was the highest she'd ever been. And she didn't even have any catnip today. Gray was rarely on her own, let alone outside and on her own. Rachel, her person, had left for a business trip this weekend and had left her close friend in charge of caring for Gray. Yet, this new person was not at all, a cat person. She also didn't know, that once indoor cats got outside, they run away - as a result of nerves and amazement, of course. Which is exactly what Gray had did. She had sprinted out from the back door, not stopping when the person had called her name, and now she was on the other side of the fence, in a tree. The tree was much higher than her home and the wind was stronger as well, as it blew through her short gray hair. She could see the second floor windows form where she was. She could also see the person staring up at her from down below, still in the yard. The lady seemed to have a confused and startled face, while she put her hands on her head in distress. A look that read: Crap. I just lost my friends cat.
Gray didn't understand the problem. She was just hanging out in a tree, her heart pounding from the adrenaline of her escape. The only issue now was what she prioritized. Does she return back to the yard now.... or perhaps never. She was certain she could live on her own, scavenging or maybe even hunting, she thought as she flexed her claws, digging them into the branch she was on. Rachel had decided not to put a collar on her, staying with a chip instead, so Gray wasn't worried about her aesthetic to the other outdoor felines. She just thought about how much she would miss Rachel... but she could get another cat right? Rachel would be fine...and so would Gray.
And with that conclusion, as rash as it was, Gray decided to climb down the tree. On the other side of the fence.
Ah. Freedom.

The first snowfall
Something fluttered in his chest, as he watched the white powder float down from the sky, was it his heart? He couldn't tell. Whatever it was he was still awe-stricken by the snow that was soaring down from the sky, it was only leaf-fall! Despite the fact that the leaves had only just started falling down a few sun-rises ago, he was more ataken back by how many moons had passed since his departure from the Docks? From his person, Grisha? From home? His heart sank ever so slightly. He couldn't lie to himself, he missed the "ol' lad," missed his rough hands and thick arms that easily enveloped him, his booming voice that made any room rattle, but most of all those kind eyes. Oh, those eyes! They dug through his flesh and always burned him down to the core. Maybe it was their hue? He had been given a set of icy blue eyes that had kind flecks of brown. Whatever it was he missed it, terribly. But now was not the time to.
The large silver maine coon walked on deer paws as he carefully navigated himself through the forest. His surroundings weren't familair, no, he had been travelling many many moons north in hopes of stumbling upon his home. When he closed his eyes something wonderful bloomed there, a black-petaled shape building endlessly outward. He pictured Grisha standing in the doorway calling his name as dinner swung from his hands. Taras' fawn pointed ears perked as he heard a person yelling. Grisha? His heart stopped momentarily before he came to the realization that it was another person. The voice was high and frantic, nothing like the deep, booming voice of Grisha. Still, Taras was intrigued and headed towards it.
He didn't have to venture far before a fence rose up from the ground. His mossy green eyes scanned it before spotting a figure. It was another cat and he assumed it was the one the person was yelling about. Taras crouched low as he watched the molly jump down from the tree and high-tailed it deeper into the forest. Naturally he followed.
~ hello! how are you? ]

-- Hi! I'm okay, how are you?
Gray was on her way to freedom. Whatever that was. Earlier this morning, she had believed freedom to be as simple as climbing onto the dinning room chairs, to scratch them, before being grabbed and placed on the floor once more.
Now, freedom consisted of frosted paws on cold, hard ground, as she mad her way forwards. The earth, was a new feeling for her. She was used to carpeted floors, hardwood, and bathroom tiles. Needless to say, she was in awe as she ventured further from her home. She looked up, and saw what few birds were left, they sat atop the branches of frosted pines. This was a new sight for her, as usually she would only see birds flying, or landing on her fence from the window. Gray always wondered what it would be like to jump out from the window, and begin to fly. Much like the small birds she saw now, who actually, looked more cold and uncomfortable than free. With a sigh, she looked straight ahead. There was no reason to look behind her, she had left that home for a reason. She was tired of being coddled. She yearned to walk free, to get her own food, and to live by her own means. Speaking of food, Gray stopped walking, feeling the small specs of snow begin to build on her fur from the lack of movement, as she felt the emptiness in her stomach.
A moment of doubt fell across her face and her tail dropped. As much as she wished to hunt, she realized she did not know how. Going against her previous thoughts, she cocked her head to look behind her. Only trees. She had managed to walk far enough, she could no longer see her home, or anything else for that matter. It was in that moment she realized that maybe freedom was not always going to be positive. Yet this is what she had wanted. Slowly, it downed on her that she would be very alone, for who knows how long. She knew her home was isolated, and so it was a while until she would see others.
She supposed loneliness was the temporary price she needed to pay for her new freedom. As much as she longed for her home in that moment, she shook her head and kept walking. She needed to find food, and possibly another being before she got much too lost, and much too sad.
--Keeping in mind, she has only been away from home for roughly ten minutes. we'll see how she copes. lol sorry, i didn't know if you wanted your cat to be spotted just yet so i'll leave that up to you. i assumed he wasn't too close, but i can change my post if you want them to encounter each other sooner! ! ! and thank you for responding <3
