This is a mini-series I have created about the clans roughly 50 years into the future after "A Vision of Shadows." Each chapter focuses on a different cat in a different clan. (Sunkit, Rowankit, Silverfang, Torrentkit, and Fernkit.) They eventually come together in a prophecy. Okay, no more hints...
If I have used any of your OC's, please let me know if you want me to remove them.

Chapter 1 Thunderclan
Deep in the heart of Thunderclan territory, a young kit was mewling for its mother. “You're okay,” Honeypool mewed to the tiny, golden-brown cat who had just gotten his first face full of snow. “B-b-but it's cold!”Whiskers twitching, the gold tabby queen gently picked up the struggling kit by his scruff and padded back into the nursery.
“What happened?” Cherryfrost, an old calico queen, asked from the depths of the nursery.
“Tawnykit discovered snow,” Honeypool purred. “It's not funny!” Tawnykit cried indignantly. He paused, then whispered, “Am I going to die?” “Of course not,” Honeypool mewed, licking the freezing flakes of Tawnykit's pelt. “Hey!” The kit hissed pulling away, his wet fur sticking up in all directions. “You look like Skystream!” A small voice piped up from behind Honeypool. As Tawnykit growled at his sister, Cherryfrost whipped around, tail lashing.
“Do not make fun of my mate!” She hissed at Fernkit, sadness haunting her eyes.
“Sorry.” Fernkit rolled her eyes paying no attention to the suffering queen. Cherryfrost sighed, and retreated to the corner of the nursery to mourn her dead mate.
“Fernkit,” Honeypool whispered as the little cream she-cat sneaked up on the older cat's tail, “Leave Cherryfrost alone.” “Fine...” she grumbled, turning to talk to Tawnykit.
“What's it like?” She mewed, wonder sparkling in her eyes.
“What's what like?” Another kit asked. “Leave us alone, Tinykit,” Fernkit hissed, I wasn't talking to you. “Just because I'm smaller than you doesn't mean I'm a mouse-brain!” The golden kit growled. “One day I'll show you!”
Fernkit showed the teeth at her littermate, turning back to her mother. “Honeypool, Tinykit won't leave us alo-...” Without turning around, Cherryfrost separated the two kits with a flick of the tail. “Leave Honeypool out of this.” Immediately, Fernkit turned back to Tawnykit, who was smoothing his fur with a few brisk licks. “What's it like?” she repeated.
“Huh?” Tawnykit said, intent on grooming his nursery-soft pelt. “What's it like outside of the nursery, you mouse-brain!” Fernkit growled, exasperated. “See for yourself,” he mewed absentmindedly, “But just to warn you, it's really cold.”
Fernkit sighed, giving up on her brother for information. She curled up against Honeypool's milk-scented pelt, and wrapped her tail around herself.
Seconds later, she fluffed up her fur, and padded out of the nursery, head held high. “Just where do you think your going?” Honeypool called to her. Fernkit whipped around snarling. “Are you going to stop me?” She hissed, ears laid against her skull. “I have never left this nursery. I have never even left your sight!”
Honeypool gasped in surprise, then turned away bristling. “Fine,” she snarled, “See if I care. Leave, and don't come mewling back to me when the fox-hearted world hurts you.”
Fernkit, startled at her mother's intense reaction, stumbled out of the nursery and fell into the snow outside the hollow tree. As the freezing slush hit her cream pelt, still nursery-soft, Fernkit shivered, but pushed on through the snow.
I never thought the clearing was so big!
Suddenly, a sharp mew pierced the silence of the night. “Fernkit!” Tawnykit screeched, “Wait for me!” “What do you want?” She hissed back at her brother. “I'm not coming back!” “No,” he cried, “I'm coming with you!”
Startled at Tawnykit's sudden braveness, Fernkit paused as her brother caught up to her. Suddenly, a huge drift of snow fell on the two kits, instantly covering them.
Help! Fernkit tried to scream, but snow filled her mouth, suffocating her. Her last vision was a huge midnight warrior grinning down at her with wild amber and green eyes.
Panting, Fernkit startled herself awake. Shivering, she rubbed up against her mother, before remembering Honeypool's chilling anger in the dream. Quickly, Fernkit pulled away and went over to Cherryfrost, who was grooming Tinykit. Cherryfrost saw the terror in the young cat's eyes.
“What's wrong?” She mewed quietly, not wanting to disturb a now sleeping Tinykit.
I was traumatized by a terrifying nightmare where Honeypool turned evil and Tawnykit and I suffocated in snow with creepy old warriors.
“I had a bad dream.” Fernkit whimpered back. “Don't worry,” Cherryfrost sighed, “It's probably nothing.” Then she paused. “If you want, we could tell Dappleberry or Snowpaw.” She waved a paw in the direction of the medicine den. “Sure!” Fernkit instantly brightened. Then her eyes grew wide and haunted. She stepped backward, trembling. “No...” Fernkit whimpered.
I'm not dreaming this time.
“Come on Fernkit,” Cherryfrost mewed. “I'll make sure nothing happens to you. Besides, you've never been out of the nursery. It's time for you kits see camp, snow or not.”
She turned around.
“Tawnykit, Tinykit, do you want to come with us?” “No way!” Tawnykit yelped, burrowing his still damp muzzle in his mother's golden fur. “It's to cold and bright!”
“I do!” Tinykit squeaked. He was always being picked on by his littermates and wanted, needed, a chance to prove himself to the others. “Of course you can come,” Cherryfrost mewed, nuzzling the kit, “Just stay near me.”
Fernkit growled. They’ve forgotten all about me. Cherryfrost was always one to pick favorites. “Come on now,” the calico queen murmured to Tinykit,“We're going to see the medicine cat. Isn't that exciting!”
Fernkit sighed. It wasn't easy being the oldest, even by a couple of minutes. Fernkit padded after Cherryfrost and Tinykit, pausing at the entrance of the nursery. Pushing aside the vines with her muzzle, she peeked outside, and was greeted with a blur of sights and scents. Fernkit gasped, tail tip twitching with excitement. It's beautiful! Sparkling white snow covered every inch of the stone hollow, which was even bigger than in her dream.
As Fernkit gazed around in wonder, she recognized some of the warriors milling around camp.
There's Owlheart! She watched her father as he padded over to another gray, cream, and brown tom that looked almost exactly like her father.
That must be Flamefoot! She thought as Owlheart shared tongues with his brother.
Then Fernkit noticed a huge flaming orange and red tom sitting on a cliff over camp. Emberstar!
“Are you coming or not?” Cherryfrost called back to her. After a moment of uncertainty, Fernkit stepped down out of the nursery and immediately fell up to her chest in snow. She yelped, and Cherryfrost turned around, carrying Tinykit by his scruff.
“Do you need help?” “Not at all!” Fernkit mewed, noting how helpless Tinykit looked dangling from the queen's jaws. Whiskers twitching, Fernkit slowly pulled herself of of the snow drift. After a shake and a few brisk licks to get the freezing snow of her pelt , Fernkit trudged through the slush to where Cherryfrost was waiting for her.
“This is amazing!” She wailed, loud enough for two passing warriors to turn and pad over to where she was standing, open mouthed.
“You look like a mouse-brain staring like that,” the smaller of the two mewed quietly, whiskers twitching with amusement.
“Foxpaw!” The older warrior cried, “That's no way to treat a kit! You do remember your first time out of the nursery...”
Foxpaw looked mortified, tucking his tail between his legs. “Russettooth...” He grumbled.
“Come on!” Russettooth purred. “When Foxpaw, sorry, Foxkit left the nursery last green-leaf, the first thing he did was get stuck in the dirt-place tunnel.”
Fernkit laughed as Foxpaw playfully cuffed his mentor's ear.
“Come on Foxpaw, were going to miss the sun-high patrol.”
“Can I come?” Tinykit squeaked. “No,” Cherryfrost purred, her voice muffled by Tinykit's scruff. “I can't have you get hurt.” “You can't even walk!” Fernkit cried up to him as she stumbled through the snow behind them.
Who am I to talk? I can barely trudge through this stuff! Fernkit shook the snow off her paw.
“Come on, Fernkit.” Cherryfrost mewed, we're almost to the medicine den. She pointed her muzzle toward the large fallen stone slab.
“That's the Fallenledge. Can you believe that it used to hang over camp as part of the hollow?”
“Wow...” Fernkit mewed, squinting upward to where she could see a jagged ledge where she assumed the Slope had fallen from.
“Now it's the medicine den and meeting place. Stay close.” Cherryfrost beckoned with her tail. “I'll see if Dappleberry is around.”
She set Tinykit down on the stone floor. The two kits padded into the den after the queen. “Dappleberry!” Cherryfrost called quietly into the darkness of the cave. “Fernkit wants to ask you something.”
No, you want me to ask Dappleberry something. I'm fine.
“Yes?” A soft voice rasped from the depths of the cave. An ancient tortoiseshell she-cat padded out of the cave, fixing her emerald gaze on the kits. “What do you want to tell me little one?” Hey! Tinykit's the little one! “Um...” Fernkit stammered. “I had a bad dream.” Dappleberry sighed. “It's probably nothing,” I know! “But tell me about it.” She tuned to Cherryfrost and Tinykit. “Give us some privacy.”
As the left the cave, Fernkit couldn't help but wonder what was so important. Dappleberry turned back to Fernkit. “So, what happened?”
Fernkit quickly told her everything: Tawnykit's first experience with snow, Honeypool's anger in the dream, and suffocating in snow. When she got to the warrior leering down at her, Fernkit paused, then mumbled, “There was also a huge black tom with glowing amber eyes.”
Fernkit shuddered, then glanced back at Dappleberry. The medicine cat took a step back, what was left of her mangy pelt bristling. She gaped at Fernkit, then collapsed her last word trembling on her lips.
Wildstar!

Chapter 2 Shadowclan A low moan echoed throughout Shadowclan camp. Seconds later, a sleek white-and-tabby tom raced out of a wall of brambles surrounding a small underground hollow. “Help!” He shrieked, pelt bristling. “What's wrong, Hawkflight?” An elderly silver she-cat quickly padded out from between two large boulders after hearing his cry. “I'm fine Silverfang,” he hastily mewed, addressing the old medicine cat. “But Rubblefur is kitting!” “Calm down, calm down.” Silverfang mewed to the young warrior. “You know that Rubblefur isn't the first queen to have kits,” she reassured Hawkflight. “But Silverfox died giving birth!” He cried, fear-scent coating his pelt. Silverfang sighed and looked away. Why did he have to bring that up? Another groan rippled from the hollow. Startled, Hawkflight whirled around and ran back to the cave. “Come on!” He yelped. As Silverfang followed Hawkflight, she called over her shoulder to a small black and white dappled tom. “Pepperleaf,” Silverfang called to her apprentice, “Get me some poppy seeds and thyme.” As he raced of to fetch the herbs, Silverfang dove into the nursery hollow. “Out,” she barked to Hawkflight. Silverfang couldn’t let the fear drifting from the warrior taint her thoughts. Hawkflight opened his mouth to argue, but snapped it shut seeing the look on Silverfang's face. He gave a curt nod then disappeared into the warriors den on the far side of camp. Just then, another pelt brushed up against Silverfang's. Pepperleaf had returned from the medicine den with the herbs and followed his mentor into the nursery. Silverfang turned to the mangy soot-gray she-cat lying the back of the nursery. “I'm fine now,” Rubblefur panted, her swollen flank heaving with every breath, “It passed.” Pepperleaf looked relieved, but Silverfang wasn't so sure. This is Rubblefur's first litter. She has no idea what to do, not to mention she has a tendency for hiding her pain. “The kits are coming!” Another queen called. “A little late, Dawnpetal.” Silverfang grumbled to the tabby queen. “It was a false alarm.” “Okay, okay,” Dawnpetal muttered, wrapping her tail protectively around her own kits. “What's going on?” One of them squeaked. “Rubblefur is kitting, Ravenkit” Dawnpetal mewed softly, licking the black she-cat's ears. “I want to play with the kits!” Flamekit shrieked. “Is there going to be blood?” Littlekit cried, his mew muffled by his mother's thick tail. Hopefully not... “No, no, don't worry,” Dawnpetal reassured her kits, “I'm sure Silverfang has everything under control.” She her soft green gaze turned hard at the sight of the medicine cat. Silverfang growled and focused her attention on Rubblefur, resting a paw on the queen's swollen flank. Why, Dawnpetal? “Come over here,” Silverfang mewed briskly to Pepperleaf. She laid her tail on the young cat's shoulders, trying desperately to calm her apprentice as she tentatively set his paw beside hers. Silverfang felt a rush of anticipation as Rubblefur's flank tensed and rippled beneath her paw. She glanced at Pepperleaf. He looks terrified! Fear was clinging to the young cat like burrs in a matted pelt. Silverfang growled, and focused her attention back on Rubblefur. I can't get distracted, not after what happened to Silverfox. “The fist kit is coming!” Pepperleaf shrieked, his mew barely above a whisper. “It's a handsome russet tom,” Dawnpetal called to a panting Rubblefur. She quickly began licking the tiny body tail-to-nose to warm it. … “I'm so proud of you...” Hawkflight rushed into the nursery the minute Rubblefur was done kitting. He whispered in his mate's ear, watching the two surviving kits huddle in the curve of Rubblefur's body. “They need names,” she said, sadness tingeing her mew as she quietly mourned the one kit who died seconds after being born. “Don't worry,” Silverfang mewed. “It's only been a few minutes.” What's the rush? “Humph,” Rubblefur sighed, smoothing the fur on the larger, tortoiseshell, kit's ears. It squeaked, and Dawnpetal's kits rushed over to see what was going on. “There so tiny! That's no fun!” Ravenkit complained. “I want to play with them!” Littlekit squealed, bopping the little russet kit's nose. Rubblefur gasped at Dawnpetal's kit's astonishing behavior toward her newborn kits. She growled, rearing back her paw to give Littlekit a cuff on the ear, but was surprised to see that her kit had bit Littlekit's paw. “Dawnpetal!” Littlekit squealed, “It bit me!” As the ginger queen glared at Rubblefur, Silverfang padded over, whiskers twitching. “Looks like you've found your match,” she purred, glancing at Littlekit's paw. “It's not bleeding,” she mewed. “You'll be fine.” Silverfang turned to face Dawnpetal. “How about you take your kits out to play in the clearing. They're getting to big for the nursery.” Dawnpetal looked startled. “But is was Rubblefur's kit-” She broke off at the excited expression on Flamekit's furry face. “Very well,” she sighed. “Come on, you three,” Dawnpetal called, beckoning her kits with her tail. “I'll show you around camp.” “Yes!” Flamekit mewed, his tail tip lashing in excitement. He raced out of the shallow hollow, Ravenkit and Littlekit on his tail. Dawnpetal padded out after them. That's a relief. Darkfrost better make those three apprentices soon. Silverfang nudged one of the mewling kits back over to Rubblefur and Hawkflight. “Have you decided on names yet?” Silverfang asked them. “Well, I was thinking Hollowkit for the tortoiseshell,” Hawkflight mewed. Rubblefur gave her mate a strange look. I don't blame her. Who would want to name their kit after the power-hungry menace that ruled Shadowclan many moons ago. Sill, she was Hawkflight's leader and mother. “That's a great name...” Rubblefur mewed softly. “I was thinking something a little more... uh...generic...but...” She trailed off. “Hollowkit it is.” She turned to the smaller, red-brown kit. “This one should be Rowankit.” “Perfect,” Hawkflight sighed, grooming Hollowkit with soft rhythmic licks. As Silverfang padded out of the den, a strange feeling hit her. A sharp prickle ran down her pelt. Silverfang glanced back the nursery. These kits are important...
