Is anyone else planning on participating in nanowrimo this year? I'd love to hear about your story ideas/rants/planning/fears/excitement I'm trying to decide whether to work on my current wip fanfiction ( Mind Games) for nanowrimo or do a different project I've been kicking around for a while. Hopefully I'll be able to decide before November lol

I might be doing it. I haven’t decided yet.

those all sound amazing tues idk how you're gonna decide (lol sorry that's probably not very helpful) although dividing the writing isn't such a bad idea. kinda less pressure since you can work on what you have more motivation/inspiration for on any given day. I mean, it's the act of writing that matters, imo, not the final project
I understand the feeling Moss. I've considered doing it for years now and always waited too long to decide cx I'm kinda scared about ~~time management~~ but ya know.

I’ve done it the last two years but never reached the word goal. I’ll probably try again. Now just to pick an idea xD

hey, kudos to you for having done it before. how successful were you? did you have a favorite and least favorite part?
& yes, practice is key! (I'll keep my fingers crossed for you as well, although with your skill I doubt you'll need it). No matter what you end up doing I'd love to read it .o.

Aaaah I wouldn't be able to write a novel in a month if my life depended on it. (Maybe)

I am planning on participating, but I have to choose an idea. I have two Warriors-based ideas (one about BloodClan, the other an AU). I also have an original idea, but I am not happy about it. If all else fails, I'll write 50 short stories and call it a novel collection.

I'm considering taking the leap and doing it this year, honestly. I've never really done it before because I lack motivation a lot, but I've been pushing myself harder this year, so I feel like it's worth a shot. I'm either going to work on Trials, or I'm going to work on this novel idea I've been holding on to for a couple of years.

I'll be doing it this year and I REALLY want to hit that 50k. I'm taking a stab at my idea called: "The Forest of Kalmera" which is a fantasy world with a never ending forest where all the beings who live there are humanoid but don't look human. You got some who are basically mermaids, you have some that are fae, you have some with horns or wings or scales or extra limbs/eyes other weird things. The possibilities are endless. My main character is the first human to ever be born in the forest. So that's what I'm gonna try to write about. Her adventures and such.

wow, that sounds really interesting shadow. I'll be rooting for you!!
that goes for everybody else too, but I'm really glad that I'm the only one that can't seem to pick an idea lol

I have a huge mound of ideas, but the problem is that half of them aren't good ideas, and I have barely any time to write each day. I sure would love to try it, though. Maybe I will.

No idea is a bad idea. That is especially true for Nanowrimo. This is for you to practice and get a feel for your preferred writing styles and genres and to flush out any ideas you haven't gotten a chance to explore yet. You don't have to post and share what you come up with which is great for those of us who might feel embarrassed about what we write. x'D
I'll be sharing simply because I know people were excited to see Forest of Kalmera content here even though I have decided to go straight to humans. It's just a fun learning experience for everyone.

No matter what you end up doing I'd love to read it .o. lol super late to the reply party but i've won two years in a row! hit the 50k mark the last two novembers. didn't finish a full draft, but the word count mattered more to me. and favorite part is easily crossing that finish line, but there's a stressful stretch in the middle sometimes that's just FEAR bc the word count still left to go is intimidating. but it's doable!! i don't usually share my nano projects bc i want to publish, but in the event that they do ever hit the shelves, y'all will be among the first to know. c:
