Now that we have confirmation that these three are siblings, with Ashfoot and Morningflower being the older ones, you can't help but wonder which of their parents is a descendant of Windstar. I also can't help but feel that most of the cats are descendants from her.

Unknown, but I believe that his kits are Heathertail, Harespring and Kestrelflight. Those are the three from my headcanon.
Now we have the parents, Wrenflight and Stagleap. If from their mother side, then we could have Tallstar be one as well if from Palebird. If it's from Woollytail, then not. But we'll have Wrenflight's littermates, Flykit, Bristlekit and...Rabbitkit? I think that was the last one.
But from Stagleap, we'd have his littermates Ryestalk and Doespring. And with that in mind, we would also have Mudclaw and Tornear since they are Ryestalk's kits. Though my headcanon is that Mudclaw is a descendant of Windstar so I'll probably go with this one. Lol. |

Wow, how cool they're siblings!
Maybe the descendant line is more continuing in Wrenflight's line since there are more generations of cats farther down the line?
I like your headcanon about Mudclaw.

By now, all or most of WindClan are probably descendants of Windstar by now, since over time as she has more and more descendants, they intertwine with the other cats of the clan until, naturally, they're all related in some way- as long as they have at least one ancestor somewhere up the line which is a clan cat.
Let's say the clans have been around for... 25 years. We could make a makeshift tree showing approximately how many descendants Windstar could have over time.
Windstar
Dust Muzzle Moth Flight
x2 Grandkits x4 Grandkit
x4 Greatgrandkits x8 Greatgrandkits
x8 Greatgreatgrandkits x16 Greatgreatgrandkits
So theoretically, if Dust Muzzle had, say 2 kits- and then both of those cats had 2 kits, and then they all had 2 kits- by the 4th generation Windstar has 8 descendants in WindClan alone- that's nearly a quarter of the clan already.
And in the other clans, they all have 4 descendants of Windstar each by the 4th generation.
I know that not all her descendants live to have kits, and probably some live to have kits but don't, but still, 25 years could probably hold at least 8 generations- meaning that by Into the Wild, mathmatically the whole clan must be descended of her- and maybe even all the other clans too.
