(Alright  ) Dean sighed softly, and ran his hand through his hair, causing it to spike up a bit more than usual as he processed this new information. Snide remarks and sarcasm aside, It was still throwing him for a bit of a loop. Gabriel had tormented Sam for countless Tuesdays,by killing the elder Winchester, no less. Yes he had come around eventually, but that didn't mean that Dean was obligated to trust the Archangel now. Wounded or not, this was a powerful being, who was now under the Bunker's roof. "Cas, we've been friends for years now, so I want your honest opinion." His voice was quiet, but his tone serious. "Family ties aside, do you think believe we can trust Gabriel. I won't have him hurting anyone while hes in the bunker." |

"research?" That peeked Dean's interest, and he raised an eyebrow. The Winchesters we're not currently working a case, nor was he aware of Sam asking Castiel for any information, and Dean himself hadn't so it couldn't have been research for either Sam or himself. "What about? Are you working a case somewhere?"

"Ahh" Dean nodded, piecing it together. "But you don't know how to start." He drank the remainder of his coffee, and refilled it, also filling another mug and holding it out to Cas. He thought about the situation for a bit, indeed it was a noble goal for Cas to have and it wasn’t as if he couldn’t relate to wanting a bit of a domestic life rather than the normal life of a hunter. The problem was neither Winchester knew how to live a domestic life. So, in that respect, he supposed, Dean was not much more experienced than Cas in child/adolescent rearing. Especially when the Adolescent in question was a very stubborn young lady.
"I think that that would be a good thing for the both of you actually. However, Sam and I probably wouldn't be of much help...Neither one of us had a normal upbringing..." He gave a faint smile to his friend. "but you are welcome to stay here, and if you can get her too, Claire is as well."

Dean couldn't help the small grin that hit his face, of all the people he helped, not many really said thank you too often, and here he was offering to help the closest friend he had, and Cas had thanked him. "You're welcome Cas."

Dean's eyes widened slightly and he looked toward where Gabe had disappeared and back to Cas. "Well, if there's even a chance, thats a good thing right? I mean, Gabriel has done some...pretty powerful things before right?" He thought of the Sam Impala, and the entire changing channels Tv Land they had been put through. "I wouldn't rule it out. I would say give it a go...if that is what you want."

Dean tilted his head, watching Cas before throwing caution to the wind, and decided to say what he was thinking at the moment "you know, Sam and I like you with or without your wings. So if Gabriel can't for some reason...your still our angelic brother"

Dean nodded softly "you're welcome. The last few years have been...rough for all of us, so I appreciate you sticking with us, me and Sammy for so long." He said us, but really Dean had meant himself. The whole mark of Cain thing...and being a Demon were etched in the forefront of his mind.

Castiel nodded, “Of course. You-“ He was about to say that Dean would do the same for him, but he hesitated. He wasn’t quite sure. He had been left behind before by the Winchesters, and at times it felt as if the other angels were right, that he was just a tool they’d toss aside. So, Cas sighed, “You’re welcome.”
