I haven't saved any of the plot ideas, so I'll copy them over here for now.

Cloud: "as far as needing help, i think the only two things i need to know are a. if the plot should deal with a prophecy or a civil war within the clan and b. if you want to keep the same characters or add/subtract some?

Nanji: "I'd much rather go with civil war. We could still tangle a prophecy into that later on (maybe have it be a faked one for extra fun). As for characters, I'll keep mine, please. They're both little balls of joy. More or less. Would like to set the roleplay to status quo though. We can totally repost those replies about Riverpaw and Oleander meeting in the forest up until the point where someone else joined."

Cloud: "that sounds good~ c: because i was thinking that oleander joining the clan would start the conflict between two sides?"

Brownie: "oooo civil war would be amazing. What's going to be the actual conflict? The oleander thing could work as a catalyst, but is that going to be the only rwason cats are angry enough to fight each other? Seems as if we need some personal reasons for cats to chose sides.
I'll probably keep Ibis ans Silver. I think I had an elder here but I dont even remember who I threw in so may or may not keep them. It was just to get more activity. XD I may or. Ay not make an aprentice, or even a queen if we want to have a family aspect going on."

Cloud: "let's see: i was thinking that when lionstar became leader it sort of had a firestar effect on everything since he was a kittypet and the clan doesn't like outsiders though they're more tolerant due to the lack of cats in the cypress forest.
so the clanborn cats were already sort of mad about this before they realized that lionstar was a good leader
then oleander gets accepted in to the clan and this adds another level of anger and i was thinking pantherfrost and another cat would be the ringleaders for some sort of uprising against having unpure blood in the clan?
a queen would be cool to have in the clan. i could make a mate for her if you'd like?"

Brownie: "ooo that works. Maybe even have a pure-blooded have had a shot for the deputy-ship before he came along? Panther would be young for that, but we could have their supporter(s) trying to put them back in their rightful place and ousting Lion. It'd be kinda funny if said should-be-leader wasn't too bright and it was really Panther pulling all the strings. Puppet leader? Figurehead?
Just tossing out everything that comes into my head.
That would be awesome. I was thinking maybe a Duskwing, dark torbie with yellow eyes? And if we want more outsiders for the plot, she could have come in an apprentice and was outsider-ish until your tom came along."

Cloud: "oo that's a good idea. maybe he's just a really strong tom and he was going to become deputy since his fighting skills compared to no one else's in the clan. maybe panther is his daughter? idk
that sounds like a good idea! then maybe my tom is a clan born cat?"

Brownie: "Sure. Have her help him onto the leadership as she's too young herself, he thinks he's doing it for himself but it's just Panther really leading behind the scenes. xD
Yepo. So when he took her as a mate, she was deemed okay in light of the Clan. Either that or he could get a bit outcasted as well in this war."

Cloud: "sounds perfect. would you like to be the tom or should i just roleplay him?
what's duskwings personality like? and i like the idea of him being forced to pick sides during the war since not all purebloods will be on the pureblood side."

Brownie: "Idc I could do it. xD Haven't roleplayed any strong brainless charries in a while heh.
Hmmm, well she'd have to be outward enough to approach the Clan and open-minded enough to integrate herself. I think I'll make her more of a mild, laid back gal who just lets others push her around. She wouldn't want to make trouble, so she tries not to talk back or oppose others, making her weak to her side. idek haven't thought that far out yet."

Nanji: "How far are we going to take this? Will the hatred only be directed at characters who joined the clan at some point from outside, or also spread towards cats whose parents (or one parent) were outsiders? If we get a big enough player base and have tangled families, we might even have related comflict among siblings, as well as prejudices (I'm thinking "your sister is friends with that outsider, so I don't trust you anymore").
As for entertwining prophecies, it'd be pretty awesome if the med cat was against outsiders. They could spread rumours of a false prophecy to get rid of the leader /outsiders. Maybe there'll be crime and someone will try to blame it on outsiders, too! For extra drama, have a desease break out and certain cats won't receive the same treatment as everyone else? We could have the med cat apprentice on the more mild side, of course, or have an outsider who knows medicine.
And so it won't be onesided, have the med cat fall ill themselves and have the outsider who knows their herbs help them out of a kindness of heart? There's be dispute on both fronts, of course. (And at this point, someone could poison the med cat to kill them off and everyone will blame it on the outsider. ooooooh)

alright, i think i'll have my tom be named Whitefoot then, a golden tabby tom with white paws. he'll be v sweet and outgoing, loves his kits and mate with all of his heart, and can get awkward when people challenge him
omg nangi, that's brilliant. i can totally imagine littlefang having beef with impurebloods.
maybe the clan eventually splits?

And that sounds awesome, nanji. Although with that complexity, maybe making it a smaller group rp where more cats are claimed each? Like 4-8 people working it? It just seems like a huge undertaking to get too many people coordinated on such an intricate plotline.
But the whole meddy cat thing sounds amazing. And the plague. xD"

Nanji: "It needn't be that intricate - I simply was on a roll. If we fill key positions, it might be enough to nudge the plot in the right direction from time to time."

Cloud: "so we would definitely need to enforce that everyone's characters need to take a side...
i'll start reposting the page then. c: if you guys have any forms, you can post them here so i can add them to the front."

Though yeah, I would add the rough plotline to the page and make sure to put a side section in the forms."

Nanji: "Since I'm keeping mine, you may just want to copy and paste them. Oleander's side should be obvious, Quietbreeze is more on the anti-outsider-side, but might slide over to pro-outsider later on. I don't really feel like it matters. He's an elder. Nobody ever listened to elders, outside of nursery stories."

Just being realistic

Guys, you alive? I'd like for us to get a move on. If you're not really up for it, I could get into planning elsewhere... Not meaning to rush, but right now we're plain unproductive.

Small group rp with just the three of us sounds good! It really does. Why don't we try just that? Would we keep the plotline or do something more simple?

If each of us pulls off 3 characters, we have nine, which might just be enough.
Positions we definitely need to fill include leader, deputy, med.cat, which leaves more than enough room for everything else! Plus, I don't think we really need to flesh out every character that makes an appearance. Sometimes other characters are just needed as a catalyst for conversation, other members of a hunting party, for example. They'd appear for two sentences or a brief exchange and never be mentioned again, so we could use them without them truly being characters.

Nice idea! I'll obviously keep Oleander-bunny.
