Given the new information for Onestar and his relatives, greatness does run in the family. Since we don't know who carries on the line, we can't count Tallstar. Quite a handful of Onestar's relatives have either climbed the ranks or have been involved in prophecies and made a name for themselves. Shellheart's lineage, Bluestar's lineage, Tigerstar's lineage, and Firestar's lineage follow suit.
While Firestar's lineage does have more cats and because all of them are quite obvious, I won't bother to list those cats. As for Bluestar, well.. her two surviving kits were both deputies of RiverClan during a certain time, Mistystar went on to become leader with her son becoming deputy. Whitestorm was deputy of ThunderClan.
Tigerstar is descended from Cloudstar, his aunt is a medicine cat while his uncle was deputy. Tigerstar's two sons were deputies of their Clans at some point with one becoming leader. His daughter in RiverClan became a medicine cat. Tigerstar's grandson in ThunderClan is going to be a medicine cat and we know all about the other side of that family.
As for Shellheart, well, he and both his sons were deputies with one becoming leader. Two of his grandkits became deputy, with one also becoming leader and his great grandkit becoming deputy under his mother. If Stormfur had stayed, he would also potentially be deputy.
For those who do not know, Onestar is now an official descendant of Windstar because he is the brother of Ashfoot. Windstar, Gorsestar, Moth Flight, Duststar(?) are all in high positions. Onestar chose his sister to be his deputy. His nephew, Crowfeather, went on the journey to find the Sun-Drown-Place and also fathered two cats who would hold more power than the stars. Now we're going to go into headcanon territory. If it's confirmed Heathertail and Harespring are Onestar's kits, that only further proves the whole greatness lineage thing.
