Natsumi shrugged in response to Kotaku's first statement. She was unsure too, to be honest. Hotaru hadn't really said enough to give them any hints as to what he was talking about.
"I can't really say either, but I hope it isn't bad either. But then if it was truly urgent Hotaru would have insisted on speaking to everybody about it already so I think it's probably okay." she responded
There was a moment of comfortable silence where Natsumi adjusted her sitting position to allow her to be a little bit more comfortable. She always defaulted to crossing her legs but she actually never found it all that comfortable and generally, after a few moments of sitting uncomfortably like this, she would usually resort to simply crossing her ankles, which she was doing at that moment.
She found herself thinking, once again, about how she and Scorpio had quite a bit in common. He was one of the most pleasant Celestials in the house, and Natsumi was willing to admit that. She'd take his company over the twins, for example, any day. She liked them, but they weren't easy to deal with.
She caught something in the boy's eyes when she mentioned everyone going out. What was all that about? Would he like for just the two of them to go sometime? For a walk or just to leave the house? She imagined so. She'd discuss it with him at some point; she would like that too.
Then came a question from Kotaku that surprised her, if only because it was something she could do but the other Celestial being couldn't possibly know that. Only Maidens were supposed to know that one.
But since when did Celestial beings keep secrets from one another? Well actually they probably all had a secret they were keeping from the others but Natsumi was just bad at secrets in general. And she knew she was, so what was the point in trying? She figured she might as well just tell him - after all, what was the worst that could happen?
"Do you want to know a secret?" she asked him "I can. It's called the Gift of the Maiden and I can only do it once. I can transport myself, and all of you guys, anywhere in the world. For a price"
She decided not to go into detail about the sacrifice that it involved, mainly because it was a bit heavy and mainly because it daunted even Natsumi herself quite a lot. She had to ask herself whether, were everyone in danger, Natsumi would use her power, despite the fact that she'd never get to be normal.
She thought he would. In a heartbeat. To save her friends, Natsumi would do anything. She would choose keeping them alive over letting herself have a life anyday. She would never do it to save herself - she'd rather die than be a Celestial forever - but she would do it to save her friends. It was an easy ethical argument, for her. Six lives could be saved and all Natsumi had to go was sacrifice her chance at a normal life.
"To answer your question, though," she continued "I'd go anywhere peaceful and quiet. A forest, maybe. They always make me feel safe. I don't have anywhere specific in mind. What about you?"
She loved forests. She found them peaceful and quiet and secluded. They felt like a blanket, comforting her and separating her from the world. The sounds were natural, only birdsong and the rustling of trees. Natsumi felt very at home there, very in connection with nature and with her earth powers. They were her favourite places in the whole world.

×× As would be expected of somebody embodying Lust, Aimi Himura is breathtakingly beautiful. She looks beautiful on the outside but she is most definitely not beautiful on the inside. She is tall with a toned, athletic physique but her body shape is pretty curvy. She stands at 5'8" and is very fair skinned. Her hands have long nails, which makes her very dangerous when she chooses to turn them into deadly blades but very convenient for Aimi - she quite likes having a weapon on hand whenever she wants one. It's pretty handy. Dark-brown hair, even with some reddish undertones, falls down to her hips when down, and she usually does leave it down unless she happens to be fighting or something; she just hates it when her victims get their blood in it. Therefore you know that if you see Aimi and she has her hair tied up you'd better run because it means she's on the hunt. Don't waste any time in running.
Her face is heart-shaped with high, prominent cheekbones. Her jaw is also a little more wide and prominent than you would normally see on a heart-shaped face like Aimi's. Under perfectly arched eyebrows, her eyes are a very deep brown with some amber flecks in them, giving them almost a luminous effect which is only heightened by the thick, dark lashes framing them. Her features are simply almost perfect. A straight, slim nose and full lips complete Aimi's enchanting face.
Her voice is low and seductive, mainly to go with her flirty demeanour, something which never leaves her. She generally tends to wear the most revealing clothes she can afford to wear, generally in blue -- her colour -- if she can. Trust me, you don't wanna go there. Her personality is a lot uglier than her face suggests.
×× There are very few positive things about Aimi, so I'll tell you about them first. She's extremely intelligent, for example, which allows her to manipulate others in the way she does. Secondly, she's creative and theatrical, which is what lends her the ability to lie so well and act so seductive all of the time.
She has an uncanny way of reading people, receiving subtle social signals that made her so excellent at manipulating people and getting close to them. She is ruthless and completely unafraid to harm others to get what she wants - she's an incredibly ambitious young woman, but in a very dangerous way. The kind of way that makes her a remorseless killer.
She sees murder as almost like a ritual sacrifice, particularly when it comes to the Celestial Zodiacs. The chase is all part of the ceremony, and a little bit of fun for Aimi on the side. And, if you think about it like Luxuria does, there is a lot less reason for feel remorse or guilt for killing somebody.
Aimi is also impulsive, giving into her desires easily, which is why if you anger her you'd better be standing far enough away otherwise she will probably kill you on a whim. This is all part of what maker her Luxuria.
Of course, this impulsiveness can make her too rash and clumsy, meaning she sometimes makes mistakes due to her haste and rashness. This is a big weakness of hers. Another is that, despite her flirtatious demeanour, Aimi is actually afraid to genuinely get close to somebody and is scared by the idea of relationships. In fact, she's a myriad of mental issues. She actually has quite low self-esteem, which she tries to hide with her flirtatious manner, and even a bit of anxiety.
She enjoys sport and can often be seen running or practising with the throwing knives that are her favoured weapon, should she not be able to use her nails. She's always doing something - she can never stop moving most of the time. It's a good way for her to clear her mind and blow off steam - she often finds, being an intelligent and anxious woman, that her mind runs a mile a minute and the only way to shut it up is for her to be doing something. This is perhaps what she finds so fulfilling and addictive about hunting the Celestial Zodiacs. It's just another sport to her, and she is addicted to it just as someone could be addicted to alcohol or nicotine or gambling. It's a drug to her, and one she constantly wants -- no, needs -- another hit of.
In short, Aimi is very intelligent, cool, calculating and manipulative. She is practically addicted to murder and she finds it almost too easy to detach herself from her victims. She is incredibly dangerous and perhaps one of the more unstable of the Seven. ××

×× Hideki, one of the older Celestials, is about average height and quite stocky, standing at about 5 foot five inches. He will, however, top out at this height; at eighteen he has all but stopped growing. He has quite a fair skin tone naturally, but he has tanned considerably because he likes to train outside and also because his best friend Natsumi is very outdoorsy and likes to drag him outside whenever she can. Hideki is reasonably built and has quite a strong upper-body due to his practise with throwing weapons like spears and javelins; he has broad shoulders and narrow hips.
His hair is a very dark, cool-toned colour that is very close to black but isn't quite there, and it sits in tousled waves on his head because of his habit of running his fingers through it all of the time. His irises are black, though instead of his best friend's calculating, intelligent gaze, Hideki's eyes are friendly and he always looks like his smiling. In fact, he has a very friendly face, and he doesn't really look like one of the older Celestials, something which is the subject of much playful teasing from the Iron Maiden. That is, until he's practising; when he's practising fighting he always looks terrifying, and this surprises almost everyone who sees it. It's during these moments that people don't doubt his fighting abilities. He, to top it all off, has dimples in his cheeks, which makes him look a lot more cute than he ever wants to look but it can't be helped. He has a square face with a wide jaw.
His voice is, well, pretty average, to be honest. Though Hideki is a little quiet, he's not particularly soft-spoken at all. He speaks very clearly, actually, he just doesn't speak too often. If he can help it, that is.
He tends to wear fairly simple clothes, not wanting to stand out too much. A shirt and jeans is often enough to please Hideki. He's not a particularly picky boy, and for him practicality comes first.
He trains with spears and javelins (basically any throwing weapons) for long range and at short range he'll usually just use a shortsword or something like that. He doesn't like fighting much but he likes practising with his weapons because it gives him time alone.
×× Being an Earth sign like his friend, Hideki is quite grounded and practical, just like Natsumi. He is a little bit set in his ways but he values practicality and he is a very dependable young man most of the time. Sometimes he likes to mess with his friends a little bit though and be unpredictable.
He is quite quiet, and this is only partly due to shyness. Yes, he's a little bit shy and guarded with new people -- he warms up to people very slowly -- but most of the time he just doesn't see the point in talking just for the sake of talking. He'd often prefer to sit in silence than actually converse with people.
He is also a little bit cynical like, though he's still considerably more open-minded than you'd expect is most of the time. If you want to talk to either Natsumi or Hideki and you want an open-minded answer, Hideki would be the one to talk to.
He is not only logical, practical and dependable, but he is also pretty ambitious. It would be a mistake to overlook Hideki because of his quietness because he exudes a sense of quiet power and ambition. Not in a bad way - he'd always use his power and ambition in ways that benefit others - but it is nevertheless still there.
Hideki is loyal with a sense of responsibility to his friends, and he holds himself to high standards. He can also suffer from anxiety sometimes, though not to the same extent as his best friend. He is unfailingly dedicated to others and will always put his friends over himself if he can do so. He is also incredibly tolerant and patient, and Natsumi is definitely not as patient as her friend is, most of the time. The two best friends are very similar in terms of personality but subtle difference differentiate them.
He has a very good sense of humour, something Natsumi does not particularly stand out as having, though she does have a sense of humour. He is friendly and open and quite funny, but this is only after he has gotten to know you and decided to share his company with you.
Finally, his favourite thing is music. He just loves music, both playing it and listening to it, so he can often be found with headphones listening to a song. It is a little bit of a surprise to hear of his more creative side, but Hideki doesn't really mind how surprised people happen to get about it anymore. ××

The Gemini Twins
"We don't hang out with anyone and we certainly won't hang out with you."

No matter what, she would be wrong. It was nearly telepathy at how well they were in sync, not even having to look at each other to signal when they'd say something or when they'd move in sync. They just did it, without an explanation to the other. It was all based off of what they were thinking and what they had in their mind, this bond between them strong enough to allow them to speak and act together as one being, as reflections of one another. So while it was initially something they hadn't expected, their reaction went without a flaw if anyone ever "guessed" correctly. They didn't take well to guesses.
Staring them directly in the eyes when they were told whom was whom, their mouths began to form words, though they were spoken to just as that happened. Leaning against each other, their arms wrapped around the other's waist with one arm, the other perched on their own hip. Their grin was normal, though just a show of how well they hid any disappointment or surprise.
"Ah, too bad! You guessed wrong! Game over!" both stated with almost a cheerful state, leaning to the left with a shrug, still having one arm wrapped around the other. There was this smile, though it wasn't one that quite reached their eyes. "Baka, Saotshi is the Tiger and Katashi is the Cat. We thought you would at least have gotten that right." If she was to fall for this, then they'd have no reason to continue their conversation.
There was a bit of hunger that was gnawing at their stomachs, which was enough motivation for them to want to leave the house soon. Perhaps they should take up Hotaru's offer of food? Yet again, that would be contradicting and while they were known for being indecisive, they weren't contradictory to that point. They said that they'd stick around later so they wouldn't have to deal with regular people, so there was also that motivation to stay back in the house. Perhaps a snack wouldn't hurt.
"Katashi, she thought I was under the sign of the Cat... how disgraceful." While the words sounded like they were from Satoshi and the tone of voice was raised higher like his, the speaker was actually Katashi, looking directly over at his twin with a bored look in his blue eyes. She had guessed right, but they wouldn't let her think that she won. "Anyone would know that I'm the older twin, by thirteen minutes." There was a slight sigh that left his mouth, Katashi shaking his head.
"Me under the sign of the Tiger is disgraceful indeed, Satoshi. Small cats have always been my thing," Satoshi stated, his vocal tone dropping slightly to match that of what Katashi's tone was, picking up and continuing where the elder twin left off without missing a beat. It was fluid and graceful, timed perfectly as they worked together as one being. "How boring. Next time, try to get at least our animal zodiac right. That's worse than Hotaru's first guess." What a confusing mess. Katashi pretending to be Satoshi with the zodiac animal of the Tiger and Satoshi pretending to be Katashi with the zodiac animal of the Cat. It really was confusing.
However, their sneering remarks were halted at Haru's request to try and explain herself, their expressions falling flat. Waving her to go on with a "hurry up, get it on with" at the same time, the Gemini twins, kept their stormy blue eyes locked onto her, their lack of amusement being evident in their eyes. Angled eyebrows went slightly farther curved down as they frowned a bit at their words, closing their eyes and seeming to shrug off her words as if they meant nothing to them.
Deep down, somewhere deep down, in fact, they were indeed a bit impressed that she would vow such a thing. The statement about them being two different people kind of took them by surprise, however, the only show of this was that their grip on the other's waist tightened slightly, shifting ever so slightly closer to the other. Katashi and Satoshi were near impossible to tell apart, and yet, here there was, some female Celestial zodiac who vowed to tell them apart. There was always that grace period of where they would wait, with no hopes of her getting right. Since she initiated such a thing, it would make them curious about her. Almost as if she would become a plaything of theirs. Like a ball of yarn, they'd bat and play with her until they found something more interesting and toss the yarn away to be unused and unamusing.
"Don't expect to win. No one can tell us apart and with this kind of a start, you won't have much luck either." Speaking at the same time once again, the twins put down their hair and ran their hands through their bangs, parting their hair to the other's side. Meaning Katashi's bangs were on the right this time and Satoshi's bangs were on the left. Of course, once they left the house and were out of eye sight, they'd switch back, just to add the confusion. "You've started a game with us, but you won't win. Don't have high hopes of us cooperating with you to let you think you've won. We aren't desperate attention to the point of pretending someone we're not." The irony in the synchronized words that were just spoken was strong.
Still, if she were to do this at random times, they wouldn't be able to hide the disappointment when she would get them mixed up. If separated with one twin being more than a meter or two apart, it typically hurt more when they couldn't be told apart or were asked "Which one were you again?". When not specifically out to be seen as a pair, that tended to be when they got the biggest disappointment. When they were little, they would always look like they were about to cry when someone messed them up. Which is why they accepted just being called "Katashi and Satoshi" as well as "Gemini" or "the twins". Because it was painful enough when no one knew who you were, it would be even more painful if that someone was a person you let close to you.
Which was why it was just them. Their own little world. There were the others, there were the felines and there were them. Felines were the only ones that they allowed themselves to be away from each other for. Cats knew who was Satoshi, they knew who was Katashi. If asked to go to Satoshi, they didn't second guess or hesitate. They knew exactly who was who and that was that. Disappointment wasn't a thing when it came to those animals.
"Eh? Fish are fish. Our claws and teeth are far sharper than theirs. Your threat doesn't bother us. Cats eat fish as much as they eat mice, rabbits and birds." Their facial expression was one that was less than amused, once again, falling flat. Blinking slowly once, they gave a small sigh and moved to the floor, sitting down at the other's side. "When is everyone else going to wake up?" It was true, only a handful of the zodiacs were awake right now.
"This is getting boring."
"Waiting around for nothing to happen only adds fuel to our imagination."
"On second thought..."
"Perhaps letting them sleep in is a good thing." Spoken at the same time once again, their tone held a warning note. As in, if they had nothing better to do, everyone was going to be subjected to their torment sooner or later during this day. Not typically a good thing and they tended to act worse with the more bored they got. "Gives us more time to think up of new things to do." In repeat from before; this was not a good thing. |

[ i would like to say that i approve of the idea of two separate zodiacs being siblings, there's sort of this thing where the only ones blood-related should be gemini. as most people reject their child upon giving birth to a celestial zodiac, they don't usually try for more children. in the rare chance they do, the child has even less of a chance of being a zodiac than normal, as the parents created a unique person fitting one zodiac and one only,
so the likelihood of them creating another child that is of a different zodiac is not too common. this being as it is, pretty much all zodiacs are the only child in their families, if their family even keeps in touch with them. like the seven deadly sins, their parents almost always reject them. and if they don't, there isn't too much contact even allowed between families as a decision that most zodiacs make to keep them safe. after all, very dangerous people are after them.
my apologies for not saying this earlier, i appear to have been half asleep and not paying attention to too much and i was busy for quite a majority of today. if you feel that she should have a brother that strongly, there is the open chance that her sibling could work as the cook or gardener here, or perhaps just as a regular human. capricorn is a very... intense character, to say so, and him being one of the younger zodiacs is, while i'm not saying no, not recommended. as leo is probably supposed to the the eldest, since he IS the leader of the zodiacs, capricorn is up there, along with aries. their human incarnations, of course, don't HAVE to follow this guide-line, but it's just a thing, i would suppose.
