Smokey FeatherMargaret the Mouse searched through the meadow for anything she could eat. Her family was poor and starving, and Margaret was more of an adventurer than any of them, and thus often went out on her own. Survival of the fittest would be the correct term, but since the animals around Redwall never lived by such primitive rules, Margaret's family used the term "independent searching." In their case, this was a mild term for "rebel." Hunter the Fox pup was running around with his brother, Henry, and his sister, Helene. Hunter's kind was one of the most despised animals in Redwall's culture, but he did not live in Redwall, so he need not worry about their affairs. Or so he thought. Sherry the Shrew was reading a tiny book under the cover of a tiny shrub which to her doubled as a tree. Sherry was a quaint little creature, with beady black eyes and a tiny little nose. Sherry was timid as any other shrew, yet when she fought she had the viciousness and the wit of a fox or a cat. In the distance, Sherry spotted what looked like...foxes? Sherry stood up and dropped her book. Was it true what she saw?

(I haven't rped Redwall in forever so I'll be alittle rusty :'3)
Nearby Margaret was Bartleby the Badger. He was a traveling merchant on his way to whatever settlement he came across. The large creature used to be a warrior, but a badly damaged hindleg caused him to retire early. Pulling his cart, which was loaded with goods for creatures of all kinds, his dark eyes looked around the meadow as he passed through it. He was cutting through the meadow because it was quicker to where he was headed. Blinking once, he heard movement. "What creature walks among the meadow with me?" he called out, slowing his pace a little so he could take out a sword from its sheath on his right hip.

A few miles away from Bartley was a young squirrel whose name was ginger because of her color was gathering sticks to keep the area of the abby courtyard clean.
