There was a loud noise and a sound of a lightning strike. Like, a really loud noise. You turn your head and you feel yourself lock up with fear. Oh gods... That... that thing. History books say that it was a dragon. But there was no way that it was that. It was a living nightmare. This dragon was bigger than any other dragon, standing on its limbs with its chest still clearly over the stone part of Wall Astrid. Those purple eyes . . . they were terrifying looking down at you.
Your legs begin to tremble and you take a few steps back. Dragons disappeared for the most part, didn't they? They just left about three hundred years ago... What were they doing back? And since when were they ever this big? The huge black dragon raises up on its hind-legs, spreading out his huge wings. You notice that it was a two-legged dragon, being the ones that used its wings as front limbs when on the ground. It opened its mouth and you instinctively covered your ears as it threw its wings behind it and hit the wall with not only its wings, but a sharp, extremely loud blast that made the electric energy disappear from around you. You almost felt bare without it.
The dragon looked down at the huge stone wall, placed evenly to make flight difficult for other dragons and lowered down onto its wings again. Before you knew it, the sound of what would seem like a hundred canons went off, and you saw pieces of rock fly everywhere, crushing houses, yards and streets with everything on them. You saw its purple eyes through the dust and dark shadows before it turned away and flew off. But the damage had been done.
For over three centuries, that wall had a magical barrier. It kept dragons and all other nasty beasts mostly out of the land. Nothing could tunnel under it, fly over it or break through it. It was supposed to be indestructible. Or so you thought. But now . . . You hear people begin to scream and rush away. Your legs obey your mind and begin to pull you away as well, heading towards where you might find safety. You don't need to see behind you to know what's already happened.
"The dragons! The dragons broke through the wall!"

♜ ♞ [ don't you know ? ] A b o u t Hello there! So I see you might be interested in my role-play ,huh? Before we go any farther, for those who know anime, yes, this was largely based off of Attack on Titan, but it also has a lot of Fairy Tail and Skyrim: The Elder Scrolls mixed in as well. This is basically a medieval role-play, sort of. Kind of like the setting of Skyrim, but with maybe canons and a bit more cooler toys to play with. 20% of the human population can use magic, and only certain types. Of that 20% only 5% of that limited amount, if that even, are what we call 'dragon-slayers' who have the ability and power to match a certain type of dragon and kill it. We'll get into that later, but if you're curious, go ahead and read down to that part.
You good now? Great!
There are three classes of dragons, and we'll get into that later as well. But for those of you whom don't like anime or haven't watched / read Attack on Titan or anything like that, it's alright, as this is a bit different from that. Humanity was really messed up from all the petty wars between countries and whatnot, and somehow, one day, dragons came into existence. They nearly wiped out all humans, save for this little area, where only 10% of what the world's population used to be can be found. Three walls were build to protect them from dragons, ogres, serpents and all types of horrible evil creatures that came to be. A magic barrier was put up to react only towards dragons and other strong creatures that wanted to bring destruction to humanity. Nothing could fly over it and nothing could tunnel under it, and most certainly, nothing could break through it.
Or so it was thought.
The introduction starts at the beginning of the downfall of everything. With the history and stuff, you'll be able to read more on what's happened and all that. But long story short, humans have gained more knowledge about the dragons, lost 20% of their population from doing so and it's been about 4 years since dragons first broke through. And yeah! I hope you join. It'd be really great to have this role-play do really well!

♜ ♞ [ now it seems , ] L i n k s I'll be putting up a single link. Please only post your joining form on the joining page, not here. Also, make sure that you read the rules there as well, because I might have added a few new things on the joining page.

♜ ♞ [ you don't care what the risk is . ] S k i o r e m Skiorem is the last known place that humans still exist. Otherwise wiped off the face of the Earth by ogres, serpents, trolls, and, most of all, dragons, this is a land that's wall protected, or used to be. Only 20% of the human population still exists from before the country was made. And only 20% of this population can do magic. The geography really ranges and the size of it is about maybe the size of Ireland and United Kingdom, if not, a bit smaller. Most of it is rolling hills and grassland, for farming and livestock raising. However, towards the south eastern part, is a large mountain. Not mountain range, but mountain, where there's lots of forest and wild trails. Most of Skiorem's water is made up of small streams, a lake or two, a pond here or there and the occasional river. Forced inside the walls of safety, most have forgotten about the winter tundras, large deserts, arctic wastelands and even volcanoes and lava pits. Over 50% of the land in Skiorem is used as towns and cities in the individual districts, otherwise called holds. There are large portions of different farmlands, but most are pretty much made up of grasslands. However, in the region between Wall Astrid and Wall Ragna (Wall Astrid's territory), there is a huge forest with trees larger than even the horrifying Black Dragon that broke a hole in the magic wall as well as stone wall that made up Wall Astrid. This place proves too thick for pretty much any dragon to fly in and the perfect place to ambush dragons. Outside of Skiorem is filled with both forests and grasslands, though where exactly in the world is completely unknown. It's true and completely possible that other humans exist, however the thought is shunned and Skiorem is treated like the last place for humans to exist. Not many have ventured outside Wall Astrid, save for those in the Scouting Guild, and even they often come back with fewer people than what they left with.
However, since the wall had been destroyed seven years ago, the territory that belonged to those living behind the safety of Wall Astrid is now as dangerous as the outside world. Dragons, trolls, gnomes, dire wolves and all sorts of nasty creatures roam inside the abandoned place. Any lone human cannot survive for very long, no matter how skilled they are or how much they try to hide. The once well-loved Evergrown Forest of huge, mystic trees is now the only place well guarded enough for an attack. But even getting there is going to get at least ten causalities in even the highly trained group within the Scouting Guild killed. Inside of Wall Ragna, is a smaller circled territory than the one within Wall Astrid, which now houses most of the population of the human race. Food shortages are common, but also is complete panic and concern. If Wall Ragna is torn apart, then who knows what they'll do? While within Wall Eerika is the safest area to be, it's also the smallest and forcing everyone in that territory will make the human race doomed. There is a certain system to the walls, however. Directly north, south, east and west are small regions, these little parts of the walls that are technically on the outside, to attract the dark creatures that wish to hunt down and kill humans. The southern ones are often the strongest ones, as for some reason, the dragons and other creatures mainly come only from the south. The farther north you get, the more unlikely you'll see a dragon or other creature. When the Black Dragon appeared, it destroyed a hole in that region's part of Wall Astrid, and then another dragon came in and destroyed the actual part of Wall Astrid, leading the other dragons and such into the territory.
♜ ♞ [ the peaceful times have made us blind .] H i s t o r y Everyone has seemed to forget how the walls first came to be. The world was once ruled in wars between humans and other creatures. Humans fought between themselves for the longest of time. Who had control over what area, who had the most powerful army, who had the most money, who was in control of the government . . . petty wars over petty things. They fought and they fought. People died for needless reasons. Magic was used in ill ways.
One day, a man dressed in a black cloak came into the palace of the kings, a meeting of many, many different countries' rulers. He had a hood over his head, so no one could see him. He was dressed like a royal adviser, and that, he was. It was a time of peace, but yet, there was a war brewing, on who had control of one of the lesser countries. This man knelt before the kings and asked them a simple question.
"What if, one day, there was a threat bigger than all of you? Would you come together and survive, or fall apart and die?"
Of course, the kings were offended by this and promptly had the rude man killed. But in his final moments, it's said that he was smiling. For they had just proved the point. They were not going to fare well. This man was not one with the dragons. Some say that he created them and brought them upon the land. Others say that dragons came into existence because of the one too many needless deaths. Whatever the reasons of them being here, they came. In large amounts, every shape and size, of every element of magic.
They tore apart the countries, burned millions of villages to the ground, slayed thousands upon thousands of warriors. In that dark time, humans had lost. They were too busy fighting over who had what that they missed their chance to unite. They were all separated and mostly destroyed.
But, then, three hundred years ago from this very day, the walls were built, first by stone and then by magic. How they did it, no one seems to remember. But there's one thing that people forget. They don't remember. It's a spell cast by three very powerful people, oh so long ago. In existence, at this very moment in Skiorem, only three people know how the walls came to be.
Class III dragons, known as Dragon-Shifters. Three female warriors, born with the souls of dragons and the bodies of humans, had been given the blessing of the gods. They fought hard and long to protect the last known existence of humans. Skiorem. Astrid, the leader of the three, was the largest. She had shifted into a dragon first, and aided the long-fought battle to drive dragons away. While she was a dragon by choice of form, she was larger, smarter and all-around more dangerous than the other dragons and creatures. She had cast the spell to make the first wall of magic, and built the huge stone wall up to her chest. Astrid was over 100 meters tall.
The second warrior, Ragna, wasn't as big as Astrid. However, she was able to guide everyone into making a second wall. She shifted into a dragon and used all her might to create a second magic wall and stone wall. The wall was built well over her head, but she had help of Astrid. The second wall was to grow stronger if Wall Astrid ever fell. Ragna was about 17 meters tall.
The third of the group, Eerika, was of royal blood. She wanted to protect her family the best she could, so that they could govern the people and guide them with the best of their ability. She shifted into the smallest form of a dragon, only about 15 meters tall. However, while she made their third wall of magic and stone, they cast an enchantment to make the third wall the absolute strongest if the other two walls ever failed to protect humanity.
The walls of magic works like the walls of stone. If they were broken through, they were only broken through in parts, holes. They wouldn't vanish altogether. They could be mended, but only by those with the spirits of a dragon.
It's been three hundred years since that happened. Those three have long since died, protecting Skiorem and everyone within it until their last breath. It's said that they led them away. Well, it was anyways. A spell was cast after their disappearance, so that no one would remember the stories or how the walls came to be. No one would remember that Dragon Shifters ever existed. Why? It's unknown. And the funny thing is, Dragon Shifters never were seen again.
Until now.
♜ ♞ [ can look back . ] T h e W a l l s The walls, as explained above in the history of Skiorem, were made to withstand just about anything, besides a Class III dragon, which was never thought to be used against the walls. There are three walls that protect Skiorem. Wall Astrid, the largest, strongest wall on the outside. Wall Ragna, the firm, solid middle wall. Wall Erika, the untouched, tallest, yet smallest wall on the inside. If Wall Astrid should ever be broken, then a spell surrounding Wall Ragna will make the second wall even stronger. Should both Wall Astrid and Wall Ragna ever both be broken into, then Wall Eerika will become extremely strong with the strength of all three combined into it. Of course, the walls of magic work like the stone walls that reinforce the magic barriers. They cannot be fully knocked down, so to say, but work like stone walls, where if you break through one part, it's only that part, and can be repaired.
.x. Wall Astrid-- .x. Wall Astrid is about 50 meters tall, so that even without the magic barrier that boosts it, nothing on the land would be able to break through. Wind spells are cast permanently to make flying very difficult for dragons, even if the magic wall that makes up most of Wall Astrid is broken down in a spot. The wall has nets and canons on the top of it, as to fire at any dragons that may try to fly through. However, as of recently, the Black Dragon has wiped out all forms of defense on the wall by where the dragons and other creatures are able to get through. .x. .x. Wall Ragna -- .x. Wall Ragna, like Wall Astrid is about 55 meters tall, so that even without the magic barrier that boosts it, nothing on the land would be able to break through. Wind spells are cast permanently to make flying very difficult for dragons, even if the magic wall that makes up most of Wall Ragna is broken down in a spot. The wall has nets and canons on the top of it, as to fire at any dragons that may try to fly through. .x. .x. Wall Eerika -- .x. Wall Eerika, like Wall Astrid and Wall Ragna is about 60 meters tall, so that even without the magic barrier that boosts it, nothing on the land would be able to break through. Wind spells are cast permanently to make flying near impossible for dragons, even if the magic wall that makes up most of Wall Eerika is broken down in a spot, if that was ever even possible. The wall has nets and canons on the top of it, as to fire at any dragons that may try to fly through. .x.
♜ ♞ [ they will not come back . ] M a j o r C i t i e sx -- Wall Astrid ;; most villages and towns within the walls, especially Wall Astrid, are farming towns. they don't really focus on resources as much as they do livestock and hunting as well as fishing. they're supposed to be the ones with the most knowledge on fighting, however... well, they weren't. it never happened, they were lazy and laid back. 'the walls will never fail us, not in our life time' is what most people thought. 'dragons disappeared, they don't come close anymore' is what everyone was thinking. and then the unthinkable happened. the wall was broken. now all the towns are but ghost towns, with no one living in them but animals. humans have long since abandoned any town in that area. .x. Feirme .x. Bláthanna .x. Spéir .x. Crann .x. Sráidbhaile .x. Cathrach .x. Baile .x. Fianna .x. Scamall .x. Chosaint .x. Codladh .x. Reáchtáil .x. Tapa .x. Léim .x. Cairéid .x. Abhainn .x. Sruth .x. Sliabh .x. Troid x -- Sábháilte Region ;; Sábháilte was the southern region, the one that was first attacked by the Black Dragon. It was a large town, mostly made for farming and such. The entire region was the size of about maybe half of London, at most, like all the other regions on the outside of Wall Astrid. It was supposed to be the strongest. But yet, the Black Dragon broke through. Over fifteen sixteenths of the population died in that escape, that panic to get away from the dragons. It is all but a destroyed ghost town in ruins, dragons rampaging through, to get inside. x -- Soir Region ;; Soir is the eastern region protruding from Wall Astrid. However, it, too, has been abandoned in quick haste to get into the safety of Wall Ragna, for fear of dragons. While they could lower the gates, they'd be trapped and cut away from the world, with a high percentage that they would still end up dead. It was a farming and fishing region, mostly. Unlike Sábháilte, it was not subject to abuse by the dragons and other dangerous creatures. x -- Ghrian Region ;; Ghrian is the western region that was curved outside as a attraction part of Wall Astrid. It's rumored that some people still live in that region and is known for its mountain-side angled area, with access to many tunnels, caves and other resources, like oil and coal. It was also one of the many locations for a base for the Scouting Guild. It's said to be abandoned, but under the cover of the mountain and the tunneling system with the caves, there's a small possibility that someone may be alive over in this region yet. x -- Fuar Region ;; Fuar is the northern region of the outer part of Wall Astrid, still left in tack, like Soir and Ghrian. Most of those from this region escaped without too much harm into Wall Ragna, as it takes a while for dragons to fly up north and they tend to not really go up north that much. Though north, there's only a twenty-percent chance that it would snow, Skiorem being a country that's placed in a area known more for cool winters and warm summers, not being too hot nor too cold. However, there's always, always tons of rain.
x -- Wall Ragna ;; most villages and towns within the walls, are known as farming villages. however, there are also plenty of training villages, which are used to train new soldiers to fight against the dragons. unlike those with whom lived in Wall Astrid, these people are constantly paranoid that the walls might break down, that the dragons will come in. the survivors of the past event are the ones with the level heads, mostly. there are quite a few who only add to the paranoia, but even so. those within the reaches of this wall are very careful indeed. .x. Eallach .x. Capaill .x. Sláinte .x. Scrios .x. Aghaidh .x. Claíomh .x. Tharraingt Siar .x. Fadhb .x. Réiteach .x. Fuath x -- Garda Region ;; Garda is a heavily reinforced region, populated with more than a few trainees, Protection Guild soldiers and all that. They're prepared for the wall to fall and they're ready. Not willing, but ready. They have a system that they hope will protect them and Wall Ragna from the same downfall that happened to Sábháilte and Wall Astrid. However, unable to test it out, they hope that they never will have to. This is the southern outer region of Wall Ragna. x -- Láidir Region ;; Láidir is a prepared and reinforced region as well, though not as many soldiers or trainees as Garda. It's a fishing and hunting region, with a bit of farming, however, at least half of it is housing and preparation for fighting, mostly against dragons. This is the eastern outer region of Wall Ragna. x -- Seasamh Region ;; Seasamh is, like Láidir, a prepared and reinforced region, however, it isn't nearly as well prepared as Garda. It's more along the lines of a mountainous region, as it's on the eastern side of the mountain found mostly in Wall Astrid's territory. Like Ghrian, it is known for mining and finding other resources. This is the western outer region of Wall Ragna. x -- Mian Region ;; Mian is also prepared and slightly reinforced, however, it's nothing compared to Garda, nor even Láidir and Seasamh. It's in the north, with lots of rain, which means it's mostly a farming and livestock region. Not really having to worry too much about dragons, this region is a bit more relaxed than the other regions within Wall Ragna, knowing they'd be the ones with enough time to evacuate safely.
x -- Wall Eerika ;; while most villages in the walls are known as farming villages, that is most truthful within the inner-most wall. this is a more relaxed, well protected wall region with plenty of food and whatnot. food shortages within here are not as common as with the other wall's regions and the thought of dragons getting in is almost as silly as it is to think of there being lands of ice or seas so salty you can't drink the water within them. .x. Ag Rith .x. Scamaill .x. Dílseacht .x. Solas na Gréine x -- Coinnigh Region ;; Coinnigh is a relaxed, farming southern region within the outer part of Wall Eerika. It's more like a nice little place. However, due to the royal command, it's well known tha this is also one of the most guarded, and unfortunately corrupt, places that you could ever be. It has tons of guards, tons of equipment to kill dragons. However, they're dusty and people are too relaxed... wonder what would happen if someone broke inside... like a Class III dragon... wouldn't it be a shame? x -- Dún Region ;; Dún is another relaxed region that has mostly livestock raising in it, the eastern region within the outside of Wall Eerika. There are plenty of farms, with pigs, sheep, goats, cattle and all that. Dogs, horses and even pegasi are trained and raised here for fighting and for use of the military, mostly the Scouts, otherwise known as the Scouting Guild. Though not the only region used for livestock, it's one of the most major ones. x -- Fós Region ;; Fós is a extremely relaxed region that is known for hunting and fishing as well as gathering, on the western part of the outside of Wall Eerika. It's known for having some of the best cooks and food, people worrying more about getting their meals fast than dragons attacking... sheesh, these inner wall regions... x -- Misneach Region ;; Misneach is the most relaxed, most laid-back region in all of Skiorem, being in the northern region of the outer part of Wall Eerika. It's lazy, corrupt and completely over-run by money-hungry people who want the most safest place to live and the most weapons and all that. It's a horrible place that a lot of people want to get into. You don't even have to have a hatred for humanity to know that this place really needs to be taught a lesson.
♜ ♞ [ can't be afraid . ] T h e K i n g d o m The kingdom is one that has become too relaxed, too confident that nothing will happen. This is set up mostly has a sort of monarchy. While the king is pretty much in absolute power, he doesn't do too much, military-wise. Past laws are set up so that the Three Commanders and Ultimate Judge command the military.
The Three Commanders are just that; the leaders of the three main military guilds. The Scouting Legion Guild, the Stationary Guard Guild and the Military Police Guild. They are the leaders of that certain guild, which is in charge of a certain thing, which will be stated below, in this section, of course. The Ultimate Judge is someone who handles court cases that involve more than one of the guilds against the other. This person has no allegiance to any of them and views it from a stand-point that's equal towards everyone in the situation.
The Stationary Guard Guild is the one that most people go into. It's the people whom protect the walls and have guard duty. They protect the walls and the outer regions in each wall territory, save for Wall Astrid, since it has fallen to the dragons. They evacuate people and they kill dragons as well as repair the walls the best of their ability. It's often nick-named the Guard Guild, informally.
The Scouting Legion Guild is the one that everyone has the option to get into, but most try to avoid it at all costs, unless they have a huge urge to explore and/or protect everyone around them. Only those who have seen the horrors of dragons up close are in this guild. They explore the lands outside the walls, or at least, they used to. Now, they just go into the territory of Wall Astrid and do their best to kill dragons and reduce their population. They are the best fighters and most experienced ones at that. They can kill countless dragons at a time. Even so, they often lose the most people. And it's the most dangerous. 80% of all who join end up dead within two years. It's called the Scouting Guild for short formally, and the Scouts informally.
The Military Police Guild is the one where only the best of the best within the training regiments can get into. However, ironically, they're the ones who get a comfy, safe life in the interior. Funny how the best soldiers are the only ones offered to live and protect the inner wall, huh? They control fights, and are the ones who control a lot of the government within cities and such. Funny enough, this is the guild that's the most corrupt. They are nick-named the Police Guild for short, informally.
The government and human life is extremely corrupt. Military personnel selling weapons to merchants, letting things slip, not caring about those who are dying on the outer walls or the dragon problems. They care only about themselves and getting money, mostly. And the king? Well, the king only cares about himself. He thinks that everyone who dies are inferior people, who don't matter. Their lives are expendable, after all, right? It's not a very good system and people can be bought out so easily... it's horrible.
And to think, not even the dragons breaking through Wall Astrid is enough to tighten up their act... tsk, what would happen if the Black Dragon got inside and broke the wall? Then what would they do? Odin only knows.
Also, the religion and stuff is mostly Nordic beliefs, with Odin, Thor, Loki and all of those.

♜ ♞ [ it's time after time . ] D r a g o n s The dragons are huge scaled creatures of what you think are cool flying, scaled lizards with bat wings, right? Wrong, in this world, they can really range. Some are only 5 meters tall, while there's the dreaded Black Dragon that stands at about 100 meters tall. Their scale colors range from black to white to bright blue to dark brown. It depends on what element they breathe, or rather, control and their class. There are three known classes to dragons, which are explained below. Some dragons have four legs, a tail, a long neck and wings. Some have short necks or tails. Some have huge mouths, some have narrow. It all really ranges. But there are two main body types.
There are the four-legged dragons, which tend to be regulars. But the 'abnormal' dragons, the more unpredictable and dangerous dragons, are the ones with only two legs and use their wings as front legs. Though this classification only works for Class I dragons. Class II dragons and most certainly Class III dragons have their own systems.
However, there is only one way to kill a dragon. Dragons have amazing regenerative abilities and can use magic to heal even a decapitation. The one way to kill a dragon is to strike it at it's heart. The scales on a dragon's body are harder than diamonds and cannot be broken through very easily. However, in the bottom middle of their chest, if you strike there, they will die almost immediately. You can slow them down with arrows and other wounds by cutting at a angle to get under their scales. However, this will often anger them and make them focus on trying to kill you.
Why, it's unknown as of right now. But that's how we can kill them. Their chest area in a certain small radius are super soft, but often well guarded. Class III dragons are known to either cover their soft spot, as we call it, or even harden their scales momentarily to make it impossible to break through, which is one of the reasons why we can consider them nearly impossible to kill. You strike there with a sword and the dragon will die. End of story.
Dragons are known to be savage beasts who want to kill humans. Class I dragons are known to be mindless beasts who don't think very much and can be killed relatively easily. Class II dragons are somewhat smarter and harder to kill, which is why only dragon slayers are really able to kill them, or someone of extreme skill are able to kill them. And Class III dragons have above average human intelligence and are pretty much impossible to kill and can wipe out an entire guild, if need be. All dragons seem to be very aggressive and hate humans. Some will actually eat the humans they kill, if they are really that hungry, but mostly just enjoy the bloodshed and tearing apart someone. However, Class III dragons seem to only look at humans as if they're annoying bugs and kill them differently, with actual knowledge and blood-lust, knowing exactly how to trigger someone by killing another a certain way. Which is another thing that makes them so dangerous.
One other thing to note about dragons is that they are mostly male. For every 50 males, there is one female dragon. This is mostly unknown for reasoning, but that's just how it is.
♜ ♞ [ so once again ] D r a g o n C l a s s e s x -- Class I - regulars ;; The first type are the regular, wild-born dragons, Class I dragons. They will specialize in one type of element to breathe and attack with and that's it. These types of dragons are like the ones seen in Skyrim, with only two back legs and wings that are used to fly and as front legs when on the ground. They can range from small, some-what easy to defeat dragons to larger, two-element breathing dragons that can be a real pain to kill. .x. Frost Dragon [breathes frost / ice / snow ] .x. Frost - Flame Dragon [can breathe fire + frost/ice/snow] .x. Electric - Water Dragon [can breathe electricity + boiling hot water] .x. Air + Earth Dragon [stronger and faster with harder scales]
x -- Class II - elementals ;; The second type are the more dangerous dragons, that have some knowledge, known as Class II dragons, or more commonly nick-named, Guardian Dragons. They specialize in only one element as well, but they live in that type of element and show a bit of higher intelligence than Class I dragons. They are more like dragons seen in Spyro; four legs and two wings with long tails. Each dragon is a master of their element and hold the title of something like the king or queen of that element and the lower dragons that use it. There aren't that many known Class II dragons, however, we are sure that there are more than just that. Each dragon's body and scales will give away what element they represent, as they look like it and their body and build is made to fit that element and live in it, if at all possible. .x. x -- Class III - dragon shifters ;; The third type of dragons are the most dangerous of them all, known as Class III dragons. These dragons have extreme intelligence and are not of the standard knowledge. They aren't seen as often and there are only a bare minimum handful known. These are dragon-shifters. They hold both a dragon-like intelligence and a human's mind, making them an extreme threat. They know the weaknesses in a city and know the defense patterns in an army. Who they are is unknown, but one thing is for certain. They are not very kind towards their own race. You can tell what class they are because of not only their intelligence, but the fact that they can sometimes talk and their bodies are much larger than normal dragons. They range from two-legged to four-legged, and their form sometimes reflects on their human bodies. They always, however, always have the same eye color and look in their eyes. If you can put together the pieces in the puzzle, it's slightly possible to match the human to the dragon. Of course, if you actually see them transform, that's another thing. .x. Black Dragon [100 meters tall; shifter is undiscovered; elements are unknown] .x. Armored Dragon [17 meters tall; shifter is undiscovered; elements are unknown; scales are complete hardened, even by the soft spot] .x. Screaming Dragoness [17 meters tall; shifter is undiscovered; elements are unknown; her roar can attract dragons from hundreds of miles away]
♜ ♞ [ i'm hiding in my room . ] O t h e r T h r e a t s The dragons may be humans' main threats, but they aren't the only ones. Trolls, which have two types, are dangerous, but can be killed easily. Serpents are legless, wingless dragons, which can be killed easily, since they don't have regenerative powers. They can breathe underwater, however. Fenrir wolves, or rather, wolves like the godly like evil wolf himself, are also a bit of threats, but not necessarily as bad as dragons, as they can be killed easily, unlike dragons. But, as I said before, dragons are not the only threat.
.x. Fenrir Wolves -- .x. huge wolves the size of ponies, often travel in packs of three to five .x. .x. Frost Trolls -- .x. white, shaggy ape like-yeti creatures that are slow, but extremely powerful .x. .x. ♜ ♞ [ so you can't fly if you never try . ] H u m a n s Humans are an endangered species, funnily enough. There aren't that many left, just whom are inside Skiorem, or so it's thought. They're normal humans, just like you or me. Only one; most have a Irish or Scottish accent. Two; 20% of the population is able to do magic. Bend a certain element or cast certain 'spells' in which they can do something. Even so, only 5% of that 20% is able to have the ability of a dragon slayer, in which they're powerful enough to go against a Class II dragon on their own and come back with 75% chance of being alive. There's really not much to say about humans themselves.
But, humans do have unique fighting abilities. Since not many people are able to be a dragon slayer or even have magic at all, they've grown to using two major things. Horses, or sometimes even pegasi, horses with wings. They train these equines to be able to respond to certain things and always come to their bonded rider upon a certain whistle pitch. Secondly is their maneuvering gear.
The 3DMG, also known as the Three-Dimensional Maneuver Gear, is a set of gear developed by humans that allows great mobility when facing the dragons. The gear itself takes the form of a body harness that encompasses much of the body below the neck. Though using it will allow a skilled user great mobility, it carries a large risk of overtaxing the user's muscles, thus special physical conditioning is required to use this gear. Some tools involved in the apparatus include: - Handgrips - Piston-shot grapple-hooks - Gas powered mechanism - Iron Wire Propeller with Plug in Blades
The simplest move possible with the 3DMG is simply aiming and firing the grapple hooks at an object and then activating the gas mechanism to reel oneself toward said object. They can then disconnect the hook and continue moving forward. Usually however, soldiers must be able to move around in order to navigate in general. Therefore, they tend to use their momentum in order to swing around targets. the leather strips attached to the gear, around soldiers' body allows the people using 3DMG to control it easier and with better mobility. User could control their aptitude and balance mainly through the actions of feet and waist. The drawbacks of using the 3D Maneuver Gear is that it can only be used in a closed location and is useless out in the open such as grasslands and fields without tall enough trees or buildings to properly latch onto, and that over-exerting the gear would either result in mechanical failure or the depletion of the operative's gas tanks.
Mechanics: - The Body of the Device ;; Steel wire is stored inside the body. There are two axles, which revolve independently. - Operating Device ;; The functioning part of the operating device is a black box, which the technical department manages and improves in secrecy. - Body of the Compressed Gas Cylinder ;; Gas is compressed into the cylinder and injected. - Fan Section ;; Gas is blown directly into the fan to make it rotate. The pressure of the gas is regulated to manipulate the output.
Three-dimensional maneuver device training is a rigorous process that allows humans, which are limited to two-dimensional movements, to adapt to movement in the third dimension. Great physical strength, particularly in the legs, coupled with spatial recognition abilities, as well as the mental strength to not waver in the midst of a panic, are crucial qualities. One of the first things done after enlisting in training is the 3D Maneuver Gear aptitude evaluation. Those unable to remain upright are dismissed.

♜ ♞ [ so more than ever , it ' s real . ] T h e G u i l d s As said before, each guild is a part of the military, in which those who wish to fight against the dragons and other creatures, they will chose to join. Each has its advantages and disadvantages and some are harder to get into or join than others. Also, your character has to be at least nineteen years old to be in a guild. If they're younger, than they're automatically in the Training Corps.
.x. Stationary Guard Guild -- .x. "For Order and Peace." .x. The Stationary Guard Guild, also known as the Guard, is the largest of the Military divisions which protects and maintains order within the Walls. Given the fatality rate of the Survey Corps and the limited entry of the Military Police Brigade, most soldiers join the Guard. As they often have close contact with both dragons and human civilians, they are proficient over a wide variety of tasks such as dragon combat (defensive battles), cannons, security detail, crowd control, and rifle usage.
The Guard takes care of all defenses for the Wall whether it be patrols, repairs, or improvements. As such, they spend most of their time preparing for attacks against the Wall. The Guard mans the cannons on the Wall that are often used for long-range dragon defense. They must also deal with civilian evacuation and have emergency plans for dealing with scenarios for when the Walls are breached to make sure the citizens are evacuated safely.
The Guard is the largest of the three branches, with a total of 30,000 soldiers. Members of the Trainee Corps are considered in this total, until their graduation and enlistment in a chosen branch. Their total number of combat-ready personnel is a mere 3rd of this total, at 10,000 soldiers.
Their structure consists of Regiments, Brigades, and Divisions. A regiment is the smallest unit, consisting of 1000 soldiers. A Brigade consists of anywhere between 2,000 and 3,000 soldiers, or 2-3 regiments. And finally, the largest units are Divisions, which consist of 2 Brigades.
Being the main fighting force of the Vertical Equipment soldiers, the men and women of the Guard come from all backgrounds and views. There are those who joined and are simply afraid of dying or unwilling to give their lives for what they believe to be foolish causes, although many are fiercely devoted to the protection of mankind, having joined the Guard simply to protect loved ones from the threat of dragons. The great deal of diversity also gives great talent to the Guard: imaginative and magnetic men are present and successfully motivate their subordinates to do their duty. Before the fall of Wall Astrid due to a horrific dragon raid, the quality of the troops was divided, lazy, undisciplined, and unreliable; only slightly better than the Military Police Guild. Like them, most joined just to avoid working in the farms and fields, and enjoyed doing whatever they wanted while on duty.
All of that changed after Wall Astrid fell, when the Guard faced the problems of doing their job as soldiers. Since then, the Guard has become innovative, tactical/strategic, and disciplined. This branch is currently the second most reliable military branch along with the Scouting Legion.
The only case of members of the Guard coming into contact with dragons will come from a direct confrontation due to a breach in the Wall. As such, their tactics are intertwined with civilian evacuation and dragon defenses. Though in special cases the Guard may be extremely rarely deployed beyond the wall usually alongside the Scouting Legion to assist in operations of special need.
In the case of a breach, the Guard must mobilize its men to confront the dragons coming in. If there is no way to block the breach, then direct battle must be conducted to give enough time for all civilians in the town to escape. Upon the successful evacuation of all civilians, the gate will be closed and the district will be quarantined. It is only then that all the soldiers may escape to the safety of the Wall. The Guard soldiers will be deployed depending on their skill level, with the most junior soldiers facing the dragons directly at the breach and the elite guarding the innermost point of the city: - Vanguard ;; These soldiers are stationed at the far end of the city, where the breach is. The Vanguard is comprised mostly of regular Guard troops, and it is their duty to slow down the advance of the dragons if they ever manage to enter the city. Soldiers usually try to avoid direct combat with the dragons in order to increase survival rates. However, the Vanguard regiment does have a small detachment of troops whose job is to engage the dragons outside of the city, after said dragons have been maimed by a barrage of cannon fire. - Middle guard ;; Located between the vanguard and the rear, the middle guard is tasked with the elimination of any dragons that may have slipped past the first lines of defense. The trainees were allocated to the middle guard squads, as they weren't skilled enough to aid the rear, and would most likely prove to be a hindrance to the soldiers in the Vanguard. - Rear guard ;; They are stationed in the deepest sector of the city, guarding the civilian evacuation through the city gate to the next level of the Walls. Since these soldiers are directly responsible for defending not only the lives of the civilians but also the main access point to the deeper part of the Walls, the men and women of the Guard Rear guard are the most skilled soldiers available in the city at the time.
While this is going on, all attempts to stop outside dragons from entering the district short of fighting them with Vertical Equipment will be used. This includes methods such as cannon bombardment and harpoon nets to stop dragons in their tracks by impaling them and preventing other dragons from coming through.
.x. Outer Wall Breach Emergency Plan Because the Wall is so large, the Guard simply does not have the manpower to patrol every section. That is why districts are outcroppings of the Wall - to make dragon monitoring easier as they are naturally attracted to areas of concentrated humans.
The main priority of the Guard is to safely transport everyone to the next secure Wall. Failure to do so will isolate and eventually lead to the settlement being overrun, and not only the settlement, but perhaps even the entire area within the wall. Meanwhile, the breach must be located in order to plan the next move.
.x. Scouting Legion Guild -- .x. "For the Glory of Humanity." .x. The Scouting Legion Guild, also known as the Scouts, Scout Regiment, or Survey Corps Guild, is the branch of the military most actively involved in direct dragon combat, dragon study, human expansion, and outside exploration. They have the best soldiers (not to be compared with the Top 10 who joins the Military Police Guild), and are the most skilled in using the Vertical Maneuvering Equipment. But, despite having little success, they still symbolize 'the hope of mankind' with their insignia being known as 'the Wings of Freedom'. They hope that someday, their efforts will change the world and they'll be able to recover what has been taken away from humanity.
This military division is in charge of the exploration and the eventual reclamation of human territory from dragon-infested lands through the act of setting up small bases, camps, resupply stations, and extra fortifications in available areas outside the Walls. This branch of the military has by far the highest death rate. Prior to the breach of Wall Astrid by the Black Dragon, they explored the land outside of the wall, though never getting that far due to the heavy casualties suffered from dragon attacks.
The Survey Corps Guild is the smallest branch of the military in terms of membership, with an overall size of around 300 soldiers. This already-limited number of volunteers is made less and less by commonplace deaths and an infamy surrounding the body count that frightens most away from joining.
It's set up with a Guild Commander, with 4 Squad Leaders serving directly beneath him. A single Senior Team Leader serves beneath them, supervising 8 Team Leaders in the field. The guild also has 6 specialized Medical Officers, 5 Veterinary Officers in charge of caring for their horses, and 5 Remuneration Officers that serve concurrently with Team Leaders. This structure leaves 270 regular soldiers, divided into 10 Teams.
Their stables also include a total of 600 specially-bred horses. These horses are noted to be exceptionally valuable, and bred for great speed, stamina, and calm temperament. As well as horses, they have thirty pegasi, all bred with the same temperaments as the horses.
Since the Scouting Guild are constantly on the front lines, fighting Titans, its high fatality and low success rate discourages most people from enrolling into the legion. Thus, the Legion suffers a constant personnel shortage and the only soldiers who enter the Survey Corps are dedicated to the cause of humanity, usually at the cost of their own lives. In stark contrast to the Military Police, there is no laziness or incompetence in the Survey Corps Guild, and no corruption. Whether at their headquarters or in battle, members of the Scouts have no one to depend on but each other. This has built a strong atmosphere of trust in the Scouting Legion, and a general no-nonsense form of honesty among its personnel. Guild members tell and expect to be told of the truth, no matter how good or bad it might be.
Prides of the individual soldiers are also very high, as they are aware of not only being the best of the three military branches, but whatever progresses, victories mankind gains against dragons are gained at the cost of the scouts' lives. And as they boldly go to the realm where most humanity dares not, their pride is rightfully justified. Trust between leaders and subordinates is absolute. This level of trust is necessary for a legion that has no one to rely on but each other.
While most soldiers do not survive their first expedition, each successive expedition exponentially increases their chances of survival. The Survey Corps Guild's most hardened veterans each have numerous dragons kills to their name and, far beyond any members of the Guard or Military Police, are the most skilled soldiers in the entire military. With its frequent expeditions outside the safety of the Walls and regular combat engagements with the dragons, however, membership in the Scouting Legion Guild is extremely dangerous. Each and every officer and enlisted man, from highest to lowest in rank, lives with the fatalistic knowledge that their next encounter with the dragons may well be their last.
Despite their small numbers, the discipline and fighting prowess of this guild is regarded as the best out of the three military branches. There is no class-based segregation between officers and enlisted men, with all ranks sharing equally in the work and dangers. The Survey Corps Guild has a well-earned reputation for toughness and cool-headed courage in the face of extreme hardship; members will fight on even in the smallest, most isolated of groups. Scouts members are physically and mentally tough, highly adaptable, and can be counted on not to panic even when the Guard and Military Police personnel around them have broken ranks.
Unfortunately, this branch is also in the most uncomfortable position, politically and financially. Despite being the best out of the three military branches in terms of the overall quality of its officers and enlisted men. The bureaucrats, rich conservatives, and many Military Police members dislike the Scouting Legion and view it as a waste of money and resources. Due to the Legion's lack of definite, decisive successes and high losses of lives. Only from the 'support' of the King does the Legion still remain intact and protected from the greedy bureaucrats and hostile conservatives. Membership thus involves little glory, and Survey Corps Guild members are thus arguably humanity's finest and most sincere soldiers- not after money, glory or promotions, but truly committed to buying humanity a better tomorrow, whatever the cost may be. Anybody can join the Survey Corps Guild for that it does not have a certain requirement like the Military Police branch.
Due to the constant horrific losses suffered at the hands of dragons, the Scouting Legion Guild has been forced to fight smarter to achieve their goals. The Scouting Legion Guild use horses and pegasi as one of the main resources to explore.
.x. Long-Range Scouting Formation The key to this formation is dragon avoidance. Because the Survey Corps cannot afford to fight every dragon out in the open, the entire Legion is spread out over a large area, maximizing visibility. Upon encountering a dragon, a red flare indicates the danger and all soldiers who see the flare fire a red flare of their own, allowing the Commander to quickly be alerted to the dragon's presence. He will then fire a green flare in the desired direction to avoid this dragon with all members firing a green flare as well to allow the information to spread quickly.
However, there are occasionally abnormal dragons that will break it apart by ignoring scouts on the perimeter and instead, attack the middle of the formation. In this case, a black flare indicates the danger and the dragon is disposed of as quickly as possible.
The entire formation is in the rough shape of a semicircle, and is composed of the following sections: - Forward scouts ;; Presumably the most reliable soldiers, they are spread out along the front rank of the entire formation. They are the members of the Legion who come into contact with the dragons more frequently, alerting the rest of the formation to the presence of dragons using red smoke rounds. - Scout support teams ;; They are one position deeper into the formation than the forward scouts, whom they help in combat if need be. - Command ;; The Commander of the Survey Corps Guild is at the front of the formation, right behind the frontal scout teams. It's his job to judge the situation of the expedition, taking into account the flares fired by the rest of the formation and firing green signal flares to inform the Legion of new trajectories. The Commander is accompanied by a small number of men whose job it is to relay verbal messages to the rest of the formation. - Relay teams ;; Comprised chiefly of new recruits, it is their job to fire smoke rounds bidirectionally: both to inform Command of dragon sightings (red and black flares) and to inform the rest of the formation about a change of course (green flares). It is a relatively well protected area of the formation (after all, here are the most inexperienced soldiers), as it is not directly in contact with oncoming dragons and it is difficult to stray from the formation from this position. The relay teams also ride along the spare Hhrses. - Cart guard teams ;; They are between the relay teams and the carts, and it is their job to protect said carts. - Carts ;; This unit is comprised by wooden carts with a special suspension system, each pulled by two horses and manned by two soldiers. Their job is to carry the supplies necessary for the expedition (food, gas, medical supplies, extra Vertical Equipments, etc.). They are very vulnerable to dragon attacks, so they are in the deepest place in the formation, riding single-file behind the Command team. - Standby ;; This group is in the most protected part of the formation: the centre-rear, behind the cart line. - Rear guard ;; These are the soldiers who ride at the very back of the formation, protecting it from dragon pursuit. It is a job which conceivably entails some risk, as it is possible to fall behind the rest of the formation.
This formation has lowered the Survey Corps losses by 30%. However, it can be rendered ineffective by bad weather, especially rain, when flares will become useless. This, combined with the drop in visibility from said rain or fog will reduce the ability of the formation to remain in communication and spot dragons.
.x. Ambush Although not a 'true' tactic in the sense of common battle doctrine, the Scouting Legion Guild has been involved in two attempts at capture and are worthy of note given their similar procedures. Scouting Legion Guild Ambush follows this pattern:
1. Target is lured into area where Scouting Legion Guild forces have the maximum advantage. i.e. Leading target into a forest (where Vertical Equipment is most effective) or underground (where Titans cannot move). 2. Target is incapacitated with the Special target capture weapon. 3. Vertical Equipment soldiers surround target area and prevent escape. 4. If target breaks free soldiers try to prevent escape and to incapacitate or regroup.
.x. Military Police Guild -- .x. "For His Majesty, the King." .x. The Military Police Guild is the most prestigious military sector due to their work, which allows citizens to live safely within the Inner Wall and results in abundant resources. Therefore, it has higher authority over other military sectors. However, in reality, it is the most corrupted military sector due to a lack of oversight compared to the other sectors of the Military. Due to their misuse and abuse of authority, the Military Police Brigade is also at odds with the Garrison and especially with the Survey Corps. Only the top ten alumni from trainee squads can apply for the Military Police Brigade. However, there are other ways to get into the guild, which, in itself, is horrible.
The Military Police is the primary police force within human territory. Not only do they maintain order, they serve as the king's guard. Since they do not normally come in contact with Titans, they must have special permission to use Vertical Maneuvering Equipment and usually carry firearms such as rifles instead. They are also in charge of tax collection and land distribution. They usually abuse these duties to exploit resources and food from civilians.
However these duties were abused by the Military Police Brigade officials, as it is in their nature. Primary duties also include supervising of the Training Corps, monitoring the Scouts, and directing fire-fighting operations.
The Military Police Guild is an organization with 2,000 members, with direct command over 3,000 additional personnel from the Garrison. This brings their total potential manpower to 5,000 soldiers. Their forces are divided between the major Districts, with 200 officers assigned per District.
The guild is intended to be an elite unit made of the most skilled soldiers due to its rigorous standards. The reality however is a lazy, corrupt system that selfishly benefits from the powers granted to it, with these powers being abused and taken unnecessarily advantage of. Though they are from the top ten graduates from the trainee squads, they are inexperienced as they only stay in the safety of Wall Eerika and never directly engage in battle with dragons.
The senior officers have been seen spending all their time doing their own things while leaving recruits to do all the work. They also pilfer taxes and misappropriate land. This corruption is well-known with many people (even to Wall Eerika citizens) criticizing their lack of care for anyone other than themselves. Refugees and forced laborers (called producers) hold simmering hostility against them.
However, many trainees still dream of joining the Military Police Guild, because it will allow them to live within Wall Eerika and safety. Also, being so close to the center of human territory, most policemen have relatively little experience fighting dragons as compared to the Scouts or the Guard. This, together with corruption, loose discipline, contempt from public, abuse of power makes this military branch the most incompetent out of the three.

Generally dresses dark, has gauges in his ears and piercings as well as a single tattoo. His canine teeth are a bit abnormally long and sharp. His tongue his also split, naturally. He also has an strong Irish accent. He as three ear piercings; two on the top, of black rings, one black stud above gauge in his ear lobes, with a green gem. Jack also has a snake bite piercing on his lower lips and has his split tongue pierced; one piercing on each side. His bangs are often dyed and carefully styled; the top of his head and his bangs are the only areas that aren't shortly trimmed, which is where he dyes it the bright grass green color, even a little brighter than that. Also, he often paints his nails black. The tattoo his located on his right shoulder, of a green skull outlined in black with its right eye a bright blue and left eye a bright red with a red pupil, the background of the eyes being completely black, also having abnormally very pointed and sharp teeth. ◣ ◢ Jack is unnecessarily violent and cruel. Like, Jack is someone you don't want to mess with, because he's good at fighting and he's not good at holding back. He also has a bit of major pride and a major temper. He doesn't follow commands very well, save for his Commander. He generally doesn't like people, but loves to draw, do musical things and be around animals, having a way with them. In fact, because of his sarcastic, aggressive personality, he's often nick-named 'Captain Anti'. He's very sensitive about his past, as he once had a twin brother and if you bring it up, or his brother for that matter, he's going to give you a black eye, at the very least. ║ 〷 highly aggressive ✠ hates people ✠ sassy + sarcastic 〷 [ @.momijibani ]

How important each day is... depends on how important you feel it is to you. ⋱ 〣 seventeen 〣 female 〣 bi-curious 〣 human 〣 trainee 〣 n/a 〣 ║ Scarlet, nick-named "Arle" for short, is a young woman with long, scarlet hair that reaches the middle of her back and brown eyes. Her bangs cover her right eye, which she is mostly blind in. She has a slender, voluptuous figure that's well used for fighting and training. She is often seen in the typical Training Corps attire. ◣ ◢ Arle is a very strict person, often criticizing the bad behavior and habits of the other trainees. She is also very impatient, disliking people who don't answer her questions quickly enough, being a bit of a socially awkward and frightening person with a bad temper. However, she has a great sense of justice and pride as well, planning on being in the Scouts. She's pretty cool, once you get to know her, but she's very strict and stern. She follows her heart, not the rules. Not surprisingly, she doesn't have much modesty either and has a rather weird and unusual view on things. But even so, her heart is in the right place and she's as loyal as they come. Stubborn and ill tempered, but loyal. ║

⋰ Aw, but that's too much work . . . ⋱ 〣 eighteen 〣 male 〣 bi-curious 〣 dragon shifter 〣 trainee 〣 n/a 〣 ║ Lucifer, nick-named Luci, stands at about 155 cm (5'1") tall. He has lightly tanned skin that's pretty cold to the touch, no matter how warm or cold it is. He has a skinny and small build, not really being the world's strongest person, but he's pretty fast and can endure a lot. Luci has long, somewhat thin dark purple colored hair that reaches about 5 cm below his shoulders (2 inches) with his bangs covering up the right side of his face most of the time, reaching to about his chin. His eyes are a similar purple color, however, they're a lighter shade of such, being a lighter shade of purple by his pupils. He always has two purple ear piercings on his left ear, on the lobe of the ear. ◣ ◢ To be honest, Luci is a very sassy sort of kid. He's a little shady, having a bit of a criminal record a bit. He's pretty clever and cunning, tending to cut corners in things and sneak around to try and get away with breaking the rules or doing something he's not supposed to. So I guess you could say Lucifer isn't too mature, in a way. But in a lot of other ways, he's pretty mature, being able to read others' feelings and expressions like a open book. He's good at reading people, but even so, he's not really a people person. He's pretty sassy and a bit self-centered. He doesn't really like people, but he does like using them. He's a good actor and can very easily pretend to be your friend while planning to stab you in the back. He's not... really too much of a nice guy. Most of the time, he's pretty blunt with things and doesn't really have a filter. While Luci likes attention at times, he doesn't really get much of it. Most people just ignore him, as he's pretty whiny and complains a lot. But he doesn't seems to really care or notice too much. The sixteen year old is pretty lazy and is in love with food. He literally will be found eating anything as long as it's food. But hey, nobody's perfect and Luci's far from it. But don't think for a moment that he won't point out that you aren't either. ║ 〷 lazy ✠ self-centered ✠ sadistic 〷

♜ ♞ [ i could hear your voice . ] C r e d i t The layout was given an idea to how it's coded by my friend from the old forums, silvermoon with her clan layout of SakuraClan. But otherwise, I pretty much did all the coding, I just thought her idea was really cool and based it off of what I saw.
I did make the dividers myself and most of what is seen for information is all typed up by my hand, with the exception of about the guilds, which I used the Attack on Titan wiki to aid me with the guilds.
The banner was did by Cas, which is super amazing and I love it!
The song lyrics are also the song to Levi Ackerman, not sure who originally sings it or whatever, and I think that this is the English version, but it's called "Reluctant Heroes" and it's amazing.
The idea is a combination of ideas from Attack on Titan, Fairy Tail and Skyrim: The Elder Scrolls, so each little idea thing is all of those three combined into one thing. And yeah! Please, if you want to use this idea or layout or anything, please ask! Do not steal this! Please! It took me forever to get together!
