"Yeah, but sparkly vampires never die. Or the hot, brooding bad boy. I mean, you can choose either, but I think the sparkly vampire is more..." she paused. "Jace-like."
"You could roll around like a dog or we could just pick some up and sprinkle it on you," she said with a laugh. Watching Jace roll on the floor would be fun, but Sophia was perfectly content with helping him get covered in glitter AND save his dignity.
"We totally don't have to," Sophia said, slightly embarrassed by her offer when Hace clearly wasn't as excited as she'd hoped. "I mean, I'm cool with hanging out here. I just figured, who needs a dance when you can get subway and Culver's?" she asked.
She looked his costume up and down and raised an eyebrow. "Really? Jace, next time you need a costume, come to me instead of the dollar store," she teased, laughing a bit. "In fact, if you want, I could fix this one up a bit. If you don't want, then let's go show off your terrifying vampire costume." It was terrifying, but more as a 'who would actually buy that' kind of terrifying.
Apparently Jace would buy it.
"Well, I can't dance either, so that works," Sophia said. She laughed. "Are you into older music? I don't listen to any but country really because that's what Mia and Jack always have on." She didn't hate he country, but she would like to expand her music taste.

(No don't make stuff harder than necessary for Jace XD he and Drake deserve happiness XD But feel free to make things difficult for Chase/Ash. Would you want us each to role play our own thing or like you do Chase's ex and I do Jace's ex?

(But I really don't want to do Chase's ex cause I'm bad at that kind of character and I figured I could pull off Jace's ex cause she sounds like my type of character and it'd be a good trade off XD

Jace laughed and nodded his head in agreement. "I'd definitely be more a sparkly vampire than a brooding bad boy. I mean, look at me! I'm all nice and no mean." It was true. Jace was a sucker in a lot of ways and would happily give his right kidney if it would make someone else happy.
"You know what, that might be a much better and less... uh... embarrassing way of becoming a sparkly vampire." He was actually cool with not having any glitter on him, but if it made Sophia happy and that was what she wanted then, well, so be it... and maybe it would be fun.
Jace sighed. "I do like Subway and Culver's," he admitted, thinking about the delicious idea of custard. "Alright, alright... I'll skip with you. We can totally just listen to music in the car or at my house or something and Ash can tell me about the dance later."
"Look, there is a perfectly good story as to why I am wearing this. See, I was busy, so I sent Drake to pick up a costume for me, and this is what he bought." Jace explained. He had also, of course, picked up the Zorro costume and only had enough money left over to buy the cheap vampire costume.
"Eh, I'm not a fan of country. But I'm all for older music. Elton John, Billy Joel..." he sighed at the idea of their songs. They were still popular in this day and age, and it made Jace love them even more. They were just a couple of his favorite singers. "Who do you like?"

"I mean, you might be able to pull off the fake bad boy with like leather jackets and motorcycles but then have a soft side for children and puppies?" She suggested, then shook her head. "Nah, sparkly vampire it is."
"I'll make sure you keep your dignity, you cheap, soon-to-be-sparkly vampire," she teased. She normally wouldn't suggest covering someone in glitter since it was so difficult to remove, but Jace had first brought it up and she was actually enjoying her conversation with the boy.
"See? I knew that would lure you into it. I mean, who doesn't like subway and Culver's? Well, Jack doesn't like subway, so I guess my weirdo cousin doesn't," she said with a shrug. "Speaking of that, you're still cool with Jack staying over, right?" she asked. She'd enjoy the time without her cousin around.
"Cool. And you can pick the music," she promised. "You probably have better tastes than I do." Again, she was pretty much limited to what Mia and Jack liked. Jack paid rent. Mia paid groceries (most of it). Their parents chipped in with insurance, but Jack and Mia mostly paid for gas for the two cars shared among the three of them. She couldn't really argue with the music choices.
Sophia raised an eyebrow at his story. "Drake seems like he'd be more festive, but whatever. I mean, didn't he plan this entire dance practically by himself?" She shrugged. "I'm not saying your lying, but maybe next time you should send me out for a costume. Or I can make you one. I made my zombie pop star costume and Mia..." she looked around. "Somewhere, Mia is a zombie doctor. Jacks a zombie football player."
"Huh, I've never listened to much of that, but I'm excited to. I'm assuming you have some of their music we can listen to with our subs and custard?" she asked. Even if he didn't, YouTube was a thing. She shrugged a bit. "Johnny Cash, Kenny Rogers, Carrie Underwood. A mix of new and old stuff. A little Bon Jovi."
