um k Chase replied before leaving his stuff at his desk and approaching the teacher. "Um, Mrs. Peters, I really don't feel good," Chase said.
The woman looked up, peeking over her glasses. "Do you need someone to go with you to the health room?"
"No," Chase said, squeezing his face to look like he was very much in pain. She nodded and he packed up his stuff and left, making his way towards the school entrance and feeling like a bad boy.
He stopped at his locker and then at Arlo's locker to grab the keys before exiting the school. Once he was outside, he texted Ash. outside. who's drivin

Jace frowned. "Really? You've never been to a dance?" Well, who was he to judge? He'd only been to a couple. "They're fun if you go with friends. Alone... Not so much. But, uh, you should go."

Ash was about to head out when she caught sight of Victoria. Remembering how much she had seemed to be into Chase, Ash figured saying hello and inviting her along would be fun -- especially with the dance coming up.
"Hey! Victoria!" She walked over to the girl as she received a text from Chase, saying he was outside. You drive. My car is at home.
Victoria was startled and surprised to hear Ash's voice, but she smiled at Ash. "Oh, hello!"
"Hey, I'm skipping with Chase. Do you and Vincent want to come with?" She asked.
"Oh! Uh... I'd have to ask if he wants to, but that would be great." Victoria replied, blushing a little bit when she thought about it.
"Great! Text me if you want to come and I'll tell you where we are?" Ash waved goodbye to Victoria, and then walked outside to meet Chase.

k lol im parked by the enterance Chase replied when he saw Ash's text. He whistled as he made his way to the entrance of the parking lot. It was one of the furthest spots from the school, but that was what happened when you were so late to class.
Chase tossed his backpack into the backseat and turned the car on. After waiting for a few seconds, he decided to drive up to the door and pick Ash up. He was just a good guy like that. He pulled up, putting the car in park.
When he saw Ash, he rolled down his window and called out to her. "Yo! Ash! I'm over here. Let's go do something fun. And wat good food. I just couldn't deal with school anymore."
Meanwhile, Vincent was sitting in class probably half asleep.

"Oh!" Jace coughed, feeling a little awkward about convincing her to come now. "Well, you could hangout with Drake. Or, uh... I guess me?" He felt uncomfortable, but he was in now.

Ash looked up from her phone. She had been texting a friend and telling her to pickup her homework. When her friend had asked why and Ash had told her the truth, she had received a lot of "OMG. Do you like him?" texts.
Now that she had, hopefully, beaten down the rumors before they started, Ash could enjoy her time with Chase. "Thanks for picking me up. I hate walking long distances." Which was a joke. Ash usually ran a mile or so every other morning.
She climbed into the car, pulling the door ahut after her. "I hope you don't mind, but I invited Vincent and Victoria to meet us wherever we decide to go."
Victoria, before she returned to class for the time being, texted Vincent to ask him if he wanted to skip.

"Uh, yeah. Have you... dressed up... for Halloween before...?" Jace asked. He hoped he hadn't worded that question strangely. "You could go with my sister, if you needed help picking out a costume or... something. She's good at that stuff, and is probably going to take me to get one... And Drake. Drake usually comes with."

"You know, just being a good guy," Chase said. He laughed and threw her a wink before unlocking the doors. When she got inside, he put the car in drive and exited the school lot.
"I don't mind. I mean, you said Victoria was flirting with me, right? Maybe I can actually flirt back," he said with a laugh. He still wasn't good at the whole knowing when flirting was occurring thing. Well, people called him oblivious for a reason. Oddly, Arlo was much better than Chase when it came to girls.
"So, where do we wanna go?" he asked, seeming to have found more energy once he escaped the confining walls of the school. "It's a little early for lunch. We could grab coffee or go the mall. Or the beach," he said, listing off different ideas. He turned right and started driving in that general direction.
"Also, just so you know, I feel like such a bad boy. I've never skipped before." Sure, Chase had broken plenty of school rules. Maybe too many for him to even list at the moment, but he's never skipped. "And also, I got my Halloween costume already, but I'm not gonna tell you what it is. Arlo and I are going matching this year." They did that every year.

She loved swimming, until she got too cold and would have to get out. But she loved all parts of the beach, except for the whole washing sand out of your hair for weeks afterwards. That always seemed to happen to her. "Oh no, does that mean I'm a bad influence on you? You've been a good soul until now and now I'm taking you down the wrong path." Alright, maybe Ash was being a little over the top, but it was a serious question! "Ooh, sounds interesting. I can't wait to see you two. I know what I'm going as, but I need to go actually buy it. And I'll just keep it secret from you, too." -- "So, Germany?" Jace joked, before clarifying. "Ireland, huh? That sounds like a cool place." |
