(I gotta go for the night)
"We both do at times," Arline said. He shut his eyes and tipped his head balcony so he'd be staring at the may if his eyes were open. They balanced each other our. Chase reminded Arlo to have fun and Arlo did his best to make sure Chase didn't do anything too stupid. Unfortunately that meant Arlo did most of the cleaning and childcare. Luckily, Chase enjoyed cooking. Otherwise Arlo would be totally helpless.
Arlo opened his eyes and turned to Keilana, smiling. "Why don't we help each other out then? You help me change and I'll help you figure yourself out," he suggested. He held out a hand. "Deal?"

{Good night!}
"Well, I've only heard from you, so I'm biased. I'll take your word for it." She only saw a small amount of their dynamic, but Arlo seemed content with it. She didn't know what it was like, so she really couldn't make any snap judgments either. She wasn't exactly good at coming up with her own opinions, but she thought she could manage it. It was basically observation, and she was good at that at the very least.
Keilana blinked as he held out his hand, but then straightened up and took it. "Deal," she responded, smiling in return. "Hey, you're smiling again! I did it!" Again, she felt triumphant at getting him to smile.

"Arlo smiles a lot. Fake Arlo doesn't. Get me to smile at school and then I'll be impressed," he said. He'd only seen one person wander out and lean over the deck railing for a minute before heading back inside. He liked it out here. They could still hear the músic and talking, but it was a lot more calm than the party.
"Hm, I wonder if Chase cracked open that cake of his yet. He slapped me when I tried to get a piece before the party started," he said. "Should we go find him or Ash? One of them has to know where it's hidden," he said.

((I will try and reply before my brother's birthday party starts. XD
So, just hear me out... I'm thinking about reducing this to only high school for now so that everyone's ages aren't so spaced out...? To maximize drama. XD And then they can slowly move into University. XD))

But like Jack XD Jack can be a side character or something. I don't want to get rid of him XD
Have fun at your brother's party)

"Is that a challenge?" Keilana asked, grinning slyly at him. "I accept. I'm sure I'll manage to annoy you enough to get you to do it. And remember, we're working on the real Arlo, so I'm definitely going to get you to smile at school." She finally gave into the temptation to bop his nose, giggling as she did so. She didn't actually know the likelihood of her talking to Arlo without him approaching her first, but she'd at least try. Keilana held promises close.
"I don't exactly know who Ash is," she reminded him, "but yes, let's go find them. I like cake and now that you've mentioned it, I have a craving."
{I just got this like, mental image of Keilana jumping on Arlo's back and calling for him to "go on, my noble steed!" and idek why}

Arlo scrunched up his nose when Keilana bopped it. "Yeah, good luck. Fake Arlo's gonna stick around for a little bit just to make sure you can't make me smile at school," he said with a bit of a laugh. "Ash is the one throwing this party. She lives here. I don't really know her, but I know what she looks like and that's all that matters," Arlington said.
He stood up and wiped grass off of his pants. He held out a hand to Keilana. "Now, let's get in there and hunt down my brother and his little friend. Then we'll eat some cake," he said. He hadn't seen the cake set out when they were inside, so he figured Ash must've hid it somewhere so it would stay frozen.
Alto pushed open the door to the house, looking around at the bright lights and listening to the loud music. It was so much nicer outside, but they couldn't get cake out there.
(I did and also I it was really hot so I 'accidentally' got wet when I was bathing my horse)

{Lol nice. I'd do the same tbh}
"That is so petty," Keilana huffed playfully. She wasn't actually mad. She enjoyed the challenge and she would honestly do the same. It wouldn't hamper her attempts to get him to be more open in any way. It'd be a good first step too. She took his hand and stood, following him back inside. She peered over his shoulder at the still-going-on-strong party. She already missed being outside. The music was a lot more prominent now and honestly, if it weren't for Arlo and cake, she probably would be on her way home by now. The music was already getting to be too much.
"So, where should we start?" she asked. She assumed he was more familiar with the house than she was.

Arlo sidestepped a couple and turned to Keilana. "I don't know. I've never been here," he said with a shrug, "but I'm sure we can figure out. Let's head into the kitchen?" he said.
This would be the obvious spot. Arlo made his way into the kitchen, trying not to look suspicious. When he saw a teenage boy open the fridge, sigh, and leave, he approached the same appliance, but opened the freezer. There was plenty of stuff in there, but no cake.
"It feels a little weird going through their freezer, so let's just hope nobody walks in," he said. He looked under a box of pizza rolls before closing the freezer door. "Where else would they have a freezer?" he asked, leaning against the fridge.

Keilana followed him to the kitchen, somewhat amused by him trying not to seem suspicious. It wasn't like they were actually doing anything wrong. She sighed as their search of the fridge came up empty. "Of course it's not that easy," she said, shaking her head. She leaned against the counter and hummed thoughtfully. "Someone's room? Or a basement," she suggested, not actually sure where else a freezer might be. "Or we could focus on finding your brother and just ask him. Or Ash."

"I'd say we try the garage or basement first. If those don't work, maybe check the bedrooms? It's possible we could find Ash and Chase in there. At least one of them. If not, then we just directly search for them," Arlo said.
"Come on!" he plowed out of the kitchen, trying random doors until he found one that led to the basement. He waves for Keilana and then ducked inside and turned on the light. Hopefully no one had seen them come down here. That would look suspicious.
(I may be slow cause I'm finalizing a story plot (or at least trying to) so I can finally stick with one idea and write it)

{That's fine! After this reply, I'll probably be slow to respond too}
Keilana giggled to herself as she followed him, knowing exactly what it looked like if anybody were to see them heading down the basement. She decided to keep that particular knowledge to herself. It would just be embarrassing to point out. She looked around for a freezer but she didn't exactly know what she was doing. Though it was fun looking around, she was still a bit apprehensive about searching through someone's house. "This feels kind of shady," she commented as she searched around, unable to find any sort of cake.

"That's what I was thinking. Like we could totally be accused of stealing. Even if we aren't, or just looks really sketchy. I've seen plenty of people sneak off though, so looking at rooms shouldn't be a big deal," he said with a shrug. Yeah, people might get the wrong idea if they're sneaking off to bedrooms together, but he didn't really see many people paying attention. People were too focused on the music and food.
Well sigjed, leaning up against a wall. "I could just text Chase, but there's only like a 30% chance he'll respond," he said, pulling out his phone. There was another text from the babysitter. This one was just an update, so he ignored it and slipped the phone back in his pocket.
(Cool. Well both be slow tonight : ))

"I hope this escapade doesn't traumatize me," Keilana snickered. "That wouldn't be a very good 'first party in a new city' experience." It was actually pretty hard to disturb her, but still, she preferred to be on the safe side of things. She would just exercise caution while looking around, or make Arlo go first. She had no shame in throwing him to the wolves.
"Worth a shot," she said in regards to texting Chase. "We should probably still look around though. The only reason I'm still here is because of cake, and you for suddenly deciding to have a super deep conversation." She smiled playfully. "But I'm definitely going to get that cake one way or another."

(And now I have to go make cookies)
Arlo grinned. "Hey, think about this though. If we get caught and the whole school thinks we were snooping around, you'd be making a big entrance," he teased. He sat down on the stairs and smiled.
"Yeah, don't expect this whole 'deep conversation' thing to be a common occurrence," he said. He pulled out his phone and sent off a text to his brother.
After a few minutes with no response from Chase, he sighed. "Guess that didn't work. Where should we check next?"

"I've always wanted to be a part of a big rumor mill. 'Who is this new girl that's taken Arlo's heart?'" She laughed at the thought. She didn't want to be a part of any big drama or anything, so she hoped there wouldn't actually be any rumors, but it would be amusing to be talked about. As if she would actually be able to date someone so quickly.
"Who knows? I might end up unloading my baggage on you," she said. It was unlikely that it would happen any time soon, but she'd probably tell him a few things offhandedly. "Um, should we check bedrooms? Or walk around hoping that we run into them?"

Michael "Mick" Westley | Male | 18/Senior | Ariat Mick is a tall young man with an athletic build. He's about 6'2 and slightly muscular. Mick's skin is rather pale (much of his annoyance) and any attempt to tan results in a nasty sunburn so it isn't uncommon to see him loading up on sunscreen during the summer time. He's got a few freckles, but not too many. His eyes are a beautiful, intense blue. Mick's black hair is kept short and he has a little scruff on his chin. He normally dresses in athletic shorts (even in the winter) but occasionally wears pants. His wardrobe is mostly made up of t-shirts and hoodies but he also brings a set of nicer clothes whenever he goes somewhere. At first glance, most would be a bite scared of Mick. He's a large man with a tattoo of compass on his upper right arm and a hawk on his calf in honor of his grandfather. Mick is truly a giant teddy bear. He's soft and generally doesn't put up much of a fight, even though it results in him getting taken advantage of or manipulated. He also tries to keep things light hearted and isn't very good when it comes to dealing with emotions or deep topics. High School | No Job | None | Other
Jordan Adler | Female | 15/Sophomore | Ariat Jordan is a rather short girl at 5'6 with an athletic build. Her blonde hair always seems to be messily pulled into a ponytail as an excuse not to do much to it. Her skin is as pale as can be and her eyes are blue. What Jordan lacks in size, she makes up for in personality. Jordan is always full of energy and tries to be optimistic, though that's not always how she acts. She's full of sarcasm and is as stubborn and competitive as they come. She's also reckless and will do almost anything on a dare or for money which has landed her in the hospital more than once. High School | She's looking but doesn't have one since she quit her old job at the local grocery store. | None | She has a list of dares she's trying to complete before graduating high school as a challenge from her cousin. She's also writing a book based on her experience with it.

"Well, we could always pull some big stunt," Arlo said with a laugh. "Not tonight, but later on, we'll just take something out of Chase's book. People expect stuff from Chase, not his moody brother and the new girl," Arlo said. He leaned down to tie his shoes.
"Yeah, why don't we head upstairs and check on the bedrooms? I mean, if I knew where Ash's room was, we'd just go check there, but I don't. We could check out the dance floor one more time. If there's no Chase and Ash, we'll check rooms. Sound good?" Arlo asked. He stood up and brushed off his pants once again even though he didn't sit in anything.

{Ugh sorry, that sucks}
"If you have any ideas, hit me up," Keilana said. "I don't know what we could do to mess with people other than fake date, though. I'm not clever enough for actually pranking people." The only reason fake dating even came to mind was because they were just joking about it. It was funny to confuse people, but she wasn't very good at planning.
"Sounds good," she agreed. "And we can dance again. That was fun." Even if she hadn't liked being in such close proximity to people.

(Thanks it's super annoying and now I'll look like an idiot when I ask who does the scheduling plus I hate bringing up problems to a boss)
"I got you covered," Arlo said. "I spend the majority of my time with Chase and he's always got something up his sleeve. I'll just take one of his ideas for the two of us before he has the chance to pull it," Arlo said, clearly pleased by his idea.
"Sure, I'm all up for dancing," he said. Arlo took the stairs two at a time and re entered the party. It hadn't changed much since they'd went downstairs, but he scanned the sea of faces and failed to find Chase or Ash. Oh, well.
Aldo found a spot among the bodies and waved his hand so Keilana would be able to see where he was.

{Aw man. I'm sure it won't be that bad??}
Keilana smiled and nodded. She didn't know if he was actually serious, but she wouldn't complain. She hadn't played a prank before. It seemed like fun, though it was still a bit of a novel idea to her. "Alright, I'll let you figure that out then."
She watched as Arlo walked through the crowd, and quickly made her way to him when he waved at her. She was, once again, a bit visibly uncomfortable as she weaved through all the people, but she relaxed as she stopped in front of him. "So, dance break?" she said, grinning.
