gray tabby she-cat with odd yellow eyes. short and muscular. due to an attack from an alligator, her hind left leg is ruined and paralyzed. she had to retire early because of this. aggressive, intelligent, witty, funny, thinks before speaking and acting. adores her daughter. very angry about the attack by the alligator.

Level of Roleplay
BogClan is not a free or casual role-play; it is, at the very least, a semi-advanced role-play. This means that you cannot type out one-liners and expect that to work. Just barely scraping by is three lines, but as long as you can type three or more you should be fine. Use descriptive words and emotions in your posts; make your character have thoughts; personify your character. Don't make them not have a brain.

Activity
This is one of the most important rules for me. My friends and I have worked very, very hard on this clan and we do not want it to die out. I'm saying that you have to be on at three times a week for a pretty lengthy period and actually role-play -- not just chat. If you will be gone for vacation, are grounded, or can't get on for some matter or another, please notify myself or one of my moderators ahead of time. I understand that people have school and work and vacation -- believe me, I do. I have training to do, a job, friends, and vacation, so I'll be gone often -- but I'll still be on at least four to five times a week. We will be doing activity checks every other week, meaning that if you are not active we will mark you as so. If you are highly inactive before the next activity check you will be deleted. We may change the dates of the activity check so be sure to keep up with that.

Metagaming
I have been on the forums for a while and haven't seen many cases of Mary-Sue’s and Gary-Stu's lately, but just in case you are thinking of making one here - don't. There is to be no spotlighting, power-playing, or god-modding in this clan. You get two warnings for doing it before you are deleted from the clan.

Limits
I will not put up a set number for the amount of cats you can make, but please don't claim to much. I fully reserve the right to delete some of your characters away if you are not role-playing them enough or if you have an excess of characters. I will put up a limit if it becomes too much of a problem.

Plagiarism
All of the work here is original. If one of the members of BogClan catches you using something here, they will know to report you right away. ~Sandclaw~, myself, and many others worked very hard to make this clan and we will not tolerate any instances of plagiarism.

Mentors & Special Positions
If your cat is the deputy, medicine cat, medicine cat apprentice, or is a key cat in a plot, you must be on quite frequently. There will be no exceptions. You must be on as frequently as myself. If you are not, you will be removed from the position or plot and be replaced. If your cat is a mentor to an apprentice, you really need to be on a lot. If you are not on enough, I will reassign the apprentice to another person, so think heavily on your choice of having a cat that is a mentor.

Spamming
You're allowed to ask a person back to another role-play, of course, but you cannot post links to that role-play. If you are a member of the clan you are allowed to post links, but not that often. If it happens too much, a moderator or myself will confront you about it.

Forum & Ghost Rules
This is going to be a really short rule. If you break one of the forum rules or one of the top ghost rules, you will be deleted from the clan and reported immediately.

Complaining
Do not complain if I give a special position or mentorship to someone before you. Also, do not complain if things do not go your way in the role-play. That's just whining and acting like a toddler. It is not acceptable.

Tolerance
I expect the very best of the members of this clan. That means that you are not to argue with people because they have different beliefs than you. You are to be tolerant and kind towards everyone on this thread or face deletion.

One in Four
This is another rule to protect against metagaming. Every one in four battles must be lost, every one in four pieces of prey must be lost, one in four cats are not healed, etc. This is taken from the "How to Create a Successful Clan" thread by The Romanticist.

Character Growth & Role-Play Growth
Character growth is needed in every good role-play so it is highly suggested and encouraged that you create characters with  fears, hatreds, refusal to do certain things. Give them a quirky and unique personality. Let them grow as we role-play.  We must have internal conflict as well as external conflict in the role-play.

Relationships
You characters cannot be mates with each other and that is that, no exceptions. Crushes do not just start off without any interaction in role-play, so you are not allowed to have a cat have a crush from the get-go. Role-play with that cat first and make sure it's okay with the role-player of the cat.
