First of all hi! Im new to the forum, and I do apologize in advance if this is posted in the wrong area or if im just in the wrong place all together 😅 But I started reading the Warriors books and was 48pages into Forest of Secrets(of course I did not start here, I read #1 and #2) but now I realized theres a prequel series and so I stopped mid book and started reading the Dawn of the Clans series, im finishing up the 2nd book in the series. I just want to know if after this prequel series, I can just jump right back into Forest of Secrets, or is there other books in between or during the series that I should read? Such as super editions and bonus stories?

Don't read the books in chronological order. Chronological order spoils stuff. Read them in release order.
Do you remember how at the beginning of The Sun Trail, Lion's Roar was referring to Stoneteller as "Half Moon", the cats were talking about their old home, and Stoneteller was thinking about someone called Jay's Wing? If you were reading in release order, you would have had all that stuff explained.
I think you should go back to Forest of Secrets for the moment, and continue with Dawn of the Clans later, when you get back to it.
Also, I'll give another example to explain why starting with prequels is a bad idea. In Star Wars, Darth Vader is revealed to be Luke's father. That's supposed to be a big twist (I mean, not anymore, but at the time), but if you started with the prequels, you would have that ruined for you, because it shows that Darth Vader is Anakin.

I agree with Lightflame on this one. It would be interesting to read all the books in "in-universe" chronological order, but it does spoil a lot due to "in real life" chronological release dates. I'd suggest only reading them in the "in-universe" chronological order after reading them in release date order first. An experienced fan who knows all the facts of the series would take greater interest in reading it from the "in-universe" chronological order.

Welcome!
And like others have said, publication order is best. Here it is in terms of the main series alone.
The Prophecies Begin The New Prophecy Power of Three Omen of the Stars Dawn of the Clans A Vision of Shadows
Some of the titles for the other books contain spoilers, so I'm not sure if you want me to recommend you a reading order for that or not.

This is really convenient, as opposed to me constantly having to go to Warriors wiki whenever I reread the series (I always reread them in chronological order, since there are no spoilers). Thanks!

@turinnotturino
nice, glad it helps someone. Though I'll probably have to move Tigerheart's Shadow around for the chronological order, but I'll wait until Darkest Night for sure

I think as long as you read them close in relation to the series they were in, then it'd be okay for memory sake? For example, reading Firestar's Quest, Bluestar's Prophecy, Tallstar's Revenge, Crookedstar's Promise, and Yellowfang's Secret some time after reading the original series? It's truly up to you.

Yes please 😊😊😊 Okay. Here's my personal list. Firestar's Quest and SkyClan's Destiny after The New Prophecy, but you can also read them after the Sight.
SkyClan and the Stranger after the Forgotten Warrior.
Dovewing's Silence after the Last Hope, and Bramblestar's Storm after that. Read both before starting A Vision of Shadows.
Rise of Scourge after either the Darkest Hour or Bluestar's Prophecy.
Crookedstar's Promise at least after Night Whispers, and you can read Mapleshade's Vengeance, Goosefeather's Curse, and Spottedleaf's Heart after that.
Due to a few short stories, Secrets of the Clans and Code of the Clans can be read after the New Prophecy, and Bluestar's Prophecy after that. Afterwards, you can read Pinestar's Choice.
Cats of the Clans can be read during the Power of Three arc.
Tallstar's Revenge after Starlight.
Yellowfang's Secret after Rising Storm.
Hawkwing's Journey after Thunder and Shadow.
Tigerheart's Shadow after Shattered Sky.
Moth Flight's Vision after Dawn of the Clans, and Thunderstar's Echo after that.
Tigerstar and Sasha after Dawn.
Ravenpaw's Path after Firestar's Quest.
The Lost Warrior after the Sight.
Leafpool's Wish after the Power of Three arc.
Cloudstar's Journey after Firestar's Quest.
Hollyleaf's Story after the Forgotten Warrior.
Ravenpaw's Farewell after the Ultimate Guide, which can be read after the Last Hope.
Mistystar's Omen after Fading Echoes.
Battles of the Clans you can read during OotS.
The After Sunset short stories can both be read after the New Prophecy arc, and same goes for Spottedleaf's Honest Answer.
Brightspirit's Mercy after the Power of Three (or at least after Eclipse), the Clans Decide after Power of Three (although it's not necessarily canon to the series), and the Death of Bright Stream after the Sun Trail.
The Elder's Concern can be read after Forest of Secrets, and the Alternate A Forest Divided chapter can be after A Forest Divided.

After Sunset: The Right Choice? is a short story between Brambleclaw and Leafpool (it can be read by downloading the Warriors app), and After Sunset: We Need To Talk is a short play that has Leafpool trying to tell Crowfeather about his ThunderClan kits. Brightspirit's Mercy is another short play that features a cat named Brightspirit as well as her parents, who were dedicated to a deceased fan named Emmy Cherry and her family after they were killed in a tornado. The three cats also show up briefly in Long Shadows. You can download them here: www.silverpelt.co.uk/shortstories.php

As for SEs, this is what I recommend the people I know IRL who borrow my books:
Read FQ after TPB. Read BP after TPB, too. Read SD after Dawn. Read CP, YS, and TR after TNP. BrS should be read directly in between series OotS and DotC. MFV should then be in between DotC and AVoS. Finally, HJ after TaS and TS after SS. Sorry if all the acronyms are confusing!

Now im a little confused with YS being placed after TNP, i just finished Rising Storm, and Persephones placement of YS seems placed perfectly after it. And I appreciate the recommendation, but im confused, is there really that much to read before YS, it seems it would be irrelevant after TNP, then again I havent read any of that yet, maybe even after TPB, before or next to FQ and BP?

YS can be read after Rising Storm since it doesn't really spoil anything for the series save for the prologue, but that's something in relation to FQ and even then you probably won't understand it until after you read FQ and it doesn't even affect the main story that much anyway.
