Zephyr sprinted through the blizzard as fast as his legs could carry him, following his senses to guide him back to safety and the woods rather than his eyes. Pure panic rang in his soul as he finally burst from the strange eternal winter back into spring, and continued to run. After a few moments he skidded to a stop, turning with fear to look around and see if Nicholai or Night had followed, struggling to catch his breath. Jupiter- the Winter Witch. Warlock. What had he become? He'd smelled like death and rotting flesh. Struggling to breathe, Zephyr fell back against the trunk of a tree, clutching his chest as he tried to ease himself out of his panic attack, eyes tightly shut.

Nicholai and Alder eventually found their way to clear ground, Nicholai looking around for Zephyr. After a short while of searching, he found the witch resting against a tree trunk. Taking a moment to smell the air for any scent of rot, it was a minute before he actually approached Zephyr. "So that frozen corpse is what Bahati's people were afraid of." It wasn't a question, more like a statement. How odd that a wretch like that could spawn something like Zephyr. "Have you seen Night?" If they didn't come across him soon, then he probably got snatched up by the Winter Witch.

Zephyr seemed too terrified to speak, stumbling over his words as he attempted to form a reply. Luckily, he didn't have to- Night stumbled through the bushes not a moment later, carrying a body over his shoulder. 'Found her. Need to go.' He grunted. 'Dunno where that thing went, but I doubt it'll stop now until we're out of these woods.' 'My p-p-place should b-be s-safe.' Zephyr stammered, straightening and unsteadily starting to hurry in the direction of home.

Nicholai nodded, simply moving to relieve Night of his wounded cargo, being more able-bodied to carry something. He then turned to follow after Zephyr, glad to be getting a break from whatever that thing was. But, the hunter in him wanted to head right back over to the elder witch and kill it. Another day, he supposed, and grunted in what could be annoyance.

It took an hour- an hour far too long in Zephyr's books. They arrived home and he ushered them inside, before hanging a horseshoe over his door and lining it with salt, before placing amethyst on every windowsill and in front of his door. He then stood in the centre of the room, murmuring a spell as he drew a star with chalk on his wooden floors, then drew a large circle around the perimeter of the room, setting up a circle of protection. He then pressed a needle into his finger tip and pressed it to each person he offered his protection to, a small bead of blood promising defence from the evil outside. Zephyr then shakily moved to where Ash was laid on one of his sofas, crouching down beside her. Her hair was white-grey in colour and long, messily braided- it was stained pinkish red with her blood. She wore an oversized grey jumper with tears in it, bloodstained, and her darker grey jeans were also covered in dirt, blood, and soaked through with water. He began to heal her, drawing strength from all of the life around him- his plants, the Fey offering him their energy as well. Night sat down and watched him work, then looked at Nicholai. 'We may have to approach one of the covens for help.' He grunted. 'Beauchêne was the man who supposedly killed Jupiter. A Witcher Witch.' He snorted at the irony. 'Kills selectively- goes only after warlocks. Lives on southside... his coven help me and ash keep the city safe.' 'Beauchêne threatened to take my head and burn my sister alive if we ever went anywhere near his coven.' Zephyr drily said. 'He is not a man who speaks without action.' Night hesitated. 'Perhaps if he sees that-' 'I am not safe with covens. Solitary witches in general are unsafe and mistrusted around covens- and ones with warlocks as fathers and mothers? It's a death sentence.'

Nicholai blinked at the mention of the peculiar Witcher. Sounded like they could use his help big-time, but it seemed that their party would be in danger if they went near him. "If this Beauchêne will not help you, then we simply need to find some other help." It would probably be more trouble than needed to approach the 'Witcher Witch' while in their current situation. Alder tugged on his sleeve, signing something to him when he turned his gaze. "How desperate are you for help?" Nicholai asked them both, studying them with his electric blues "If you're unable to get help from your father's foe?" Judging by Zephyr's level of fear, and the backstory he revealed while being tried by Mountezuma, Jupiter was not a creature to take lightly. However, it looked like Zephyr didn't want to go near their best shot at help.

'I can't go near him, but you may be able to convince him to give me a chance.' Zephyr hesitantly replied, his eyes distant; haunted, struggling to cope with the situation. 'It may be worth a try.' Night nodded.

"It is worth a try," Nicholai decided, nodding at the suggestion. Hopefully everything would turn out well, but he highly doubted it would do so easily, especially when their potential help didn't want to see Zephyr at all. He looked over at Night to see if he was ready to go, wanting to get everything done as quickly as possible.

Night nodded at him and got to his feet with a grunt, rubbing at his eyes for a moment, before slinging his weapons back onto his body. 'Where's he live?' 'The Cajun slums.' Zephyr replied. 'Downtown Orleans- not too far away from here. I live on the outskirts so I see the ravens round, but...' 'Raven coven. Should have recognised the name.' Night sighed, before looking at Nicholai. 'Corby Beauchêne. The Raven coven is one of the biggest groups round here- Wolf in the north, and Lynx in the west. Me and ash cover the south- the raven is west.' 'A comfortable circle of protection.' Zephyr noted. 'Exactly.' Night replied. 'Corby Beauchêne is a very smart, cunning, and stern man, as well as a powerful witch. We'll have to be cautious.' 'As long as his sons aren't there you'll be fine. Auguste is a royal pain in the backside.' Zephyr grumbled.

Nicholai listened to the information given, nodding slightly add he took in the notes of the other covens. Collecting his own weapons as well, he instructed Alder to stay behind with Zephyr again. Looking at Night, he grunted "I trust most witches as far as I can throw them, so I want to bring something for our trip to the Raven coven. We'll be stopping by my home before we head there. Shouldn't be too long." One could never be too prepared. However, if both he and Night didn't f*ck anything up with this Corby Beauchêne, then they wouldn't need to raise a finger in aggression at all.

Night replied with a nod, watching as Zephyr called his hellhound to him and curled up with him on the couch. Face twisted with concern as he looked at Ash, Night then looked towards Nicholai. 'The faster that monster is out of our hair, the better. Let's go.' He said, heading towards the door.

Nicholai merely turned to leave, following Night out of the door. The trip to his home took about a twenty minute walk, and the two Witchers beheld a decently-sized structure that looked like it could hold a fair amount of people inside. And it did at one point, when his family didn't all hate each other. Now Nicholai used it to contain his trophies and practice rooms. Walking up to the fencing, the large front yard of grass looked normal except that two large boulders sat randomly in separate spots. "Speak your name aloud," Nicholai told Night a little impatiently "It will be recognized as my guest, and you'll actually be able to enter the area and see what's actually here."

Night paused. 'Which name? I have three.' He drily replied, looking at Nicholai. 'My witcher name, my real name, and my true name- which I really hope you don't need, by the way. Demons like to keep those quiet as I'm sure you're well aware of.'

"You can call yourself Jack*ss if you wish," Nicholai grunted in annoyance "My warding isn't going to search your brain or anything to see if you're lying. A name is a name here. Nothing more." And with that, he turned to pass through whatever barrier was up, and the boulders seemed to twitch in response. After seven feet, he turned to wait for Night. "You can always just wait outside and miss out on some petty exploration."

'Night.' The half-demon half-sighed, half-announced, before following Nicholai. 'Aren't you a barrel of laughs.' He grumbled, tucking his hands into his pockets, glancing around as they walked, not wandering too far from the other witcher.

Nicholai didn't even look back at Night, heading straight toward the front door. He passed by the two boulders, which twitched again. Cracks formed in their round shapes as Night grew closer, but Nicholai spoke something in his mother-tongue, and the cracks simply sealed themselves back up. "Golems," He muttered "They smell your demon blood." Like any normal home, he simply pulled out a key and unlocked the door. Nicholai led the way in, the rooms and halls decorated with various trophies of both his kills, and trophies that his family left. Werewolf furs, vampire fangs, body parts of elementals and so on. There were even two pairs of angel wings nailed to the wall like works of art, which they were. Looking around, he went up to a doorway with a plaque that read "Elemental Pantheon" on it. Opening it up, he looked around at the small collection. Various pictures, statues and clear cases. Each case had a tiny plaque to label them. Lightbreaker the Bright Shadow, White Walker the Iceberg, and Alkahest the Iron Maiden to name some, and the one he was looking for. Igursus, the Northern Flame. A gem that glowed gently with with a red-orange, firey light. Opening up the case, he took out the gem. "Hopefully I'll see no need to even think aggressively toward those at our destination. We'll have a bigger chance of success because Zephyr's not there, right?" But then, what would happen once they even mentioned the young witch? As Nicholai thought it over, and waited for an answer, he browsed among the other cases. Stopping at a case supporting a silver gem, he took it out and held it up to Night before tossing it to the other Witcher. "Ouros, the Southern Mountain. You don't, and probably won't, need this, but I'm suspicious of everything regarding covens and want the insurance. And, it isn't wise for someone to invoke more than one of these at a time, so I can't have them both."
(Lol I'm probably not going to even bring out these new characters until later in the rp or after the current plot as we have has passed or aged a bit, but I had a sudden bout of muse to just get even a little spotlight on them :'3 I'm still working on a backstory for the creatures altogether x3 But they're basically just an old as f*ck group that's made of generations of powerful elementals. You're welcome to join in on that whenever with a character if you ever feel like it. The best lore is the kind you get you get to make with others, but it isn't a must for you!! :'3 I just really want to try out something new in terms of creatures, and haven't dealt with elementals in years. So... yeah! X3 Elementals are coming in the near future hopefully :3)

((So are they a first-civ type thing? they sound cool)) Night warily caught it, then tucked it into one of his safer inside pockets. 'I'm sure we'll be fine without.' Night responded. 'Shall we get going then? I should be able to summon a portal to the outskirts of his territory.'

(First-civ meaning? I'm so sorry, I just woke up and I tend to have the worst brainfarts in the morning, so pardon if I'm missing something easy.)
Nicholai nodded, saying "Of course. How ahead and open the portal outside though. It won't work on this property." He led Night back outside, out of the barrier. Once there, he looked at him with a raised a brow, waiting for him to open up the portal mentioned.

((First civilisation!!! Like. The first of their kind :3))
Nights eyes flooded red, the whites a deep honeyed Amber. He held out his hand, and a black portal appeared, sparking and swimming. 'There.' He said, voice a little huskier than usual as his eyes returned to a gentle blue colour. He walked through it and waited for Nicholai to follow, studying the bayou, before turning to look at the outskirts of the village.

(Working on reply :3)
(And, first of their kind? x3 I'm smart I promise. Hmm, yes. If my tiny brain understands correctly, the group, the Pantheon would consist of the first elementals of their type, and probably their kids, mates and such. Maybe some "worthy" outsiders too :'3 I'm unsure about how many different elements there are though. For sure there's the primary elements. Earth, fire, water and air. There's names to fire and earth though, as I mentioned Igursus and Ouros. Lightbreaker is darkness, White Walker would actually be "ice" and not "water" and Alkahest would be metal. You're welcome to call dibs on Lightbreaker, White Walker and Ouros cause I haven't actually rped them yet, but I do plan on creating actual stories for Alkahest and Igursus. Other than that, you're free to create other characters too!!)

He sighed amd collected himself, nose twitching as he tried to pick up on any magical scents. "Are we to wait here to be met?" He asked, glancing around to take in the surroundings. Perhaps they had to be let in.

((That sounds like fun!! In my novel, blood, poison, lava, snow, smoke and actual forestry (not earth like rock and stuff, more like vines) are all 'elemental' things too x3 these more complex ones are because the elemental (name for someone with control over these) has more than one element; for example, snow is ice and water; smoke is a more complex aspect of fire and air, 'forest' is earth and water, lava is earth and fire, and poison is its whole own type of thing... it's fun! Elements/powers are always fun to play with :33))

'Nah. We just walk in. Corby should come himself- hell know my presence.' He passed the territorial line, bells in trees starting to shake as they picked up on his demon blood. 'Always fun to be loudly announced wherever I go.' He grumbled, continuing to walk. He gave the nearby worshipping grounds a wide birth, then looked up as a dark cloud approached. The cloud was a congregation of ravens; it descended swiftly, then all at once they separated and flew away, screaming; in their place stood a tall middle-aged man. He was decently dressed considering his living area; dress-trousers and a white shirt tucked in. His silky black hair was cut short, and a Raven-feather earring hung from his left ear. He looked the sort who might have been a rebel when he was younger, a spark of mischief in his eyes, hidden by a stern, leaderly aura. He straightened and brushed himself down. 'Night.' He grunted. 'I know your name. You'll do well to keep those weapons sheathed.' 'I wouldn't dream of going head to head with you, Mr. Beauchêne.' Night replied, bowing stiffly to him, agitation in his eyes and his teeth clearly gritted in his mouth. Corby grunted, curiously looking at Nicholai. 'What brings you to coven territory?'

(I was considering offering another rp to separate the creatures, but I think they'd go somewhat okay with this type of rp? We can do whatever though, move or keep it all here x3)
Nicholai's expression was neutral, but he did show some level in respect by keeping his own weapons away as well. Eyeing Corby back, he was quiet when asked why they were there. He felt Igursus' gem warm up a great deal in his pocket, gritting his teeth slightly at the uncomfortable feeling. "We're here to request help," He spoke slowly "Or at least attempt to. We... erm... came across something while trying to collect Night's sister, the thing that actually took her. Turns out it was Zephyr's wretch of a father." There really was no use in beating round the bush. And taking long to get to point probably wouldn't be the smartest thing to do. "We were referred to you. I hear you "killed" the Winter Witch. Or tried to anyway."

Corby froze; everything about him seemed to stop. His eyes slowly widened, fear seeping into them, and his flesh crawling with the horror that filled his stomach. 'Jupiter.' He whispered, taking a step back. 'I stabbed him in the chest with an obsidian blade. He fell into a mineshaft and I buried him in it!!!! There is no chance in hell hes- he cant.' His voice broke slightly, and he reached out to steady himself against a tree. Night examined him, allowing him to take a moment to take in the information. 'He's not quite a witch anymore, Corby. He smells like Wendigo.' Corby spat on the ground and gripped his pentacle necklace in his hand, shuddering with horror. 'He must have survived the wound... starved down there. Gods... this is my fault.' He moved to sit down. 'I should have cut his throat and watched him die.' Night studied him again, tilting his head. '...why didnt you?' Corby tiredly shook his head. 'That is a story for another time, Demon. Come... we'll talk where it's safe.' He turned and began to head home, struggling to come to terms with his mistake. Night looked at Nicholai and shrugged, before following.

Nicholai listened to the short story given, slightly surprised that Jupiter survived still. Apparently he was a mutant though, so it wasn't insanely surprising. Nicholai only shrugged at Night in turn before following after Corby. Hopefully this meant that they'd be getting that help they wanted.

'You mentioned Zephyr?' Corby asked, his voice on edge and tight. 'He is a very, very unstable witch. You'd do well to throw caution around him.' Night frowned at Corby. 'What do you mean? He's one of the most gentle beings I've ever met in my life.' Corby turned to gaze at night as he unlocked his front door. 'He is a storm elemental, demon. His powers forced deep down by his idiot of a mother. He's a ticking time bomb ready to explode; and when he does, not even I will be able to touch him.' He headed inside and ushered them in. Night coughed, pointing at the salt. 'Oh, right.' Corby broke the line so the half-demon could enter, and Night moved to sit on a sofa, wrinkling his nose at the scent of sage.
