Zephyr nodded, ensuring his net was properly tucked into his bag, before taking nicholai’s hand as they walked. ‘Yeah. He’s almost... sweet?’ He hummed, trying to find the right words. ‘If I’m honest, I can see the naivety in the ‘old’ him... now that he’s himself again.’

"Let's just hope he stays the "old him" now that that stuff is out of his system," Nicholai said, looking slightly unsure. Glancing over at Zephyr again, he smiled. "You deciding to take him in was probably the best idea anyway. He doesn't really like anyone else besides you and Bahati. I've noticed the way he acts around everyone else. If Bahati wasn't babysitting, he'd be by himself or probably be trying to talk to the cats or Alder." Even though Alder was the only one who could actually answer Barry, the elemental seemed to adore Salt and Marmalade just the same.

‘He only likes me cause I’m a storm elemental.’ Zephyr softly said. ‘If I wasn’t, he’d probably be avoiding me too.’ He leaned slightly into Nicholai, wondering if there was any way that he could bring Barry out of his shell. ‘I’m sad that he can’t go home.’

"He doesn't deserve to go home," Nicholai said with a shrug as he recalled what Barry did "Before he was cut, he wasn't exactly the bearer of a clean record." He looked ahead as they reached Billy's home, passing through the barrier and entering the library. The librarian appeared from a hallway, holding what looked like a bronze arm. "I wasn't aware you too needed something? Did Barachiel bug out?"

Zephyr blushed and nodded, ever the one to see only the good in people. He smiled slightly at Billy as they entered. ‘Uhm... just wondering if you know where the mutt is.’ He softly asked, shifting his weight from foot to foot.

Billy tilted his head. "Barry isn't going to successfully finish rehab if his life coach is going to get himself killed fighting the Doomwolf." But, the librarian sighed, answering after a minute "He didn't go far from where he was brought back. Actually just set up a little fort in the bordering forest. Shouldn't be too hard to find."

Zephyr nodded slightly, before texting ash and night what he was doing. Almost immediately he received a phone call, and he promptly dropped his phone in a panic as ash yelled at him from the other side. He shakily picked it back up, holding it away from his ear as she scolded him very, very loudly, telling him how much of a stubborn idiot he was. And you expect me to hop on along like a good little dog into the jaws of that THING? Baby, last time was bad enough, I’m a werewolf, I’ve got no special powers like the rest of you! I can bench lift an extra three hundred pounds, I don’t have any resistance to fighting things like that! ‘I’m sorry!’ Zephyr whimpered, bright red and rightfully terrified of the woman on the other end of the phone. There was a long silence, followed by a pained groan. I’ll come. Night says he’ll come too. As soon as things look bad, I’m saving my own ass and hauling out of there. I love you, baby, but I value my life. ‘I understand, Ashy.’ Don’t’chu appeal to me like that, boy. See you in ten. She grumbled, before hanging up. Zephyr pocketed his phone, before sniffling and wiping his eyes. Maybe experience hadn’t stopped the witch from being a crybaby after all.

Nicholai glared at Billy, who had silently contained laugher for about the first few sentences of the phone call. The librarian calmed himself before turning to leave, probably to further work on the bronze arm he was still holding. "She has a right to respond like that," Nicholai then admitted to Zephyr "None of us are really built to butt heads with a giant wolf who can end worlds." He then reached to pull his partner into a hug, an attempt at comfort. "But they agreed to come, so that's what matters, considering we don't have a lot of help to bring."

‘I know.’ He mumbled quietly, fidgeting slightly with nicholai’s shirt. ‘I might have asked Frigga to send a little extra help...’ He sheepishly stepped back, continuing to fidget. ‘I mentioned Einherji...’ he said, trailing off a little, continuing to sheepishly fidget. ‘We’re gonna have plenty of help... I didn’t want to say anything in case they didn’t show up.’

Nicholai, having done some studying on Norse lore ever since Fenrir actually woke, tilted his head. "Well, if they do come, that would be a big help, but we'll need to treat this little mission of ours as if they're not, cause they very well won't." A part of him hoped they did though.

Zephyr smiled and nodded, taking Nicholai’s hand. ‘Alright... lets get going.’ He said, heading outside, shouting goodbye to Billy. Outside, Night and Ash were stood waiting. The woman looked very, very nervous, shifting from foot to foot, while night seemed calm as... day. ‘Thanks for coming.’ Zephyr hesitantly said. ‘I’m only coming cause it’s you.’ Ash responded, warning in her tone. ‘And it’s the last time, kid. I mean it.’ ‘That’s fine.’ He softly said, nodding, before looking at night, who raised an eyebrow. ‘I’m fine. Haven’t worked for a while so I’m at my best.’ Zephyr nodded, relieved, then began to walk. ‘C’mon then.’

Nicholai walked with the other three to the destination Billy gave them. The area was wooded, with occasional park-like clearings. And in one of those open areas was a group of two. A regular-sized black wolf, and Rava were sitting at a table (the wolf was sitting on the actual table) talking. Rava looked over at them, and merely smiled. Fenrir didn't even bother sparing them a glance. Explain yourselves and your ill intent.

((Omg I’ve forgotten who rava is))
Zephyr studied the wolf, before stepping forwards, wringing his hands slightly. ‘Fenrir... I’m always one for diplomacy over violence. So I want to talk first.’ He ran a hand through his hair. ‘I’m afraid it’s been ingrained in me that the release of you causes Ragnarok- or at least sets it into motion. You being here and free makes for a dire future ahead, which I don’t want.’

(Poor Rava :'3 He gave them the fire sword for food x3)
Just because you don't want something, doesn't mean everyone doesn't. Fenrir finally turned to look at them, an ear flicking. Now, I would've been okay with talking with you like the civilized animals we are, but the fact that you've got a very special net with you is what makes your group such a turn-off. Getting up, glancing at Rava, he hopped off of the table silently, taking a more bipedal form as he straightened up. I'm very disappointed in the lack of trust you have in me.

‘My lack of trust comes from the trust I have in my deities.’ Zephyr tensely replied, sparks racing over his skin as he readied himself to take flight, summoning power in his stomach. He tightly clutched his bag- he knew he’d have to do this similarly to how he caught Barry. Which, of course, was another issue. ‘I also don’t appreciate your ‘interest’ in Barachiel.’ He added, his gaze darkening.

Barachiel is much more than you've degraded him to be. You've tamed him because you fear him. Nothing more, nothing less. Fenrir motioned for Rava to join him. The coal-colored creature stood up, removing his robe. He was shirtless but wearing pants, and had wings fashioned like a bat's. A swish of his hands summoned a sickle for each appendage to hold, and he took a step toward Ash, Night and Nicholai.
Fenrir didn't hesitate to charge Zephyr, growing in size. Each step made on the ground pulled up darkness, black smoke rolling from his jaws as he leapt for the witch, solid shadows lashing out and reaching for him to either grab or impale.

‘I do not fear that which i understand.’ Zephyr instantly responded, crouching slowly as Zephyr approached, his eyes lightning up a bright blue. Storm clouds gathered rapidly overhead, already starting to fumble. ‘And I do not fear you.’ With that, he transformed, taking off just as Fenrir night have reached him. He soared swiftly into the sky, releasing a screech which echoed with a roar of thunder, before allowing lightning to start raining down on his opponent.
Ash grumbled and loaded her crossbow, lifting it to her shoulder to aim at Rava. ‘Yo Nicholai, we gonna cover Night?’ She called, the half-demon transforming into his hellcat form, baring long saber-teeth at Rava. Hey fatso, if I bite you will I even get any flesh? Or is it all blubber? he asked, hellfire licking up all four legs and down his back. He then roared and rushed at him, unsheathing his claws, while Ash gave him covering fire.

Fenrir skidded to a stop after Zephyr took off, dark magic rising up around him, but not able to reach Zephyr. He bared his gleaming white fangs, the magic whipping around like tentacles, quivering and swatting at anything that dared to get close. You say you don't fear what you understand, but yet you don't understand me, though I expect nothing different to be spoken from something so young.
Nicholai raised his pistols that he brought to help Ash out, but what didn't hit Rava was deflected by his sickles. The dark creature chuckled as he ran at Night. I like a man who can joke, but the only time you'll ever bite me is if you bed me. Instead of butting heads outright with the hellcat, he slid down and past on Night's left, swiping one of the weapons as he passed in attempt to cut him open.

I don’t fear what I understand- and I do not fear you, Fenrir, because you are not the nastiest thing to come with Ragnarok. he spiralled around, dancing in and out of the tentacles, before sparking and snapping his beak with frustration, currently unable to get close. He lifted back into the air and into his safe zone, angrily staring down at Fenrir, before dropping more lightning on him. Night leapt wildly sideways to avoid him, turning on one paw to face him again. A deep, rumbling purr echoed from his chest- possibly a laugh. I prefer small blondes. he said, his stumpy tail moving slightly from side to side, possibly him deciding on which way to go next so he had his balance down.

I'm aware, but Ragnarok only starts when the switch is flipped. I haven't lifted a paw to do so yet cause I'm, as you said, not the nastiest thing around. Fenrir looked up at the skies, an almost bored look present as he waited, watching his shadows whip and grab at the lightning to scatter it. You used the sword forged by Rava's brother to "help" Barry, from what Rava told me. Did you know that there's never been a successful result after draining the infected individuals? Think of short-term memory loss. It's just a matter of when Barry gains back what you think you cured.
Rava slid to a stop in a kneel, but he quickly got back up. And I prefer anyone who doesn't mind a little uniqueness. He smiled almost sadly, three white eyes half-lidding for a moment before he collected himself. A sigh escaped his lips, weighing the sickles in his hands as he watched Night. I'm waiting on you, hellcat. I suppose I should've brought a book, cause I didn't know I'd be doing any waiting.

I will heal him no matter what. Zephyr aggressively replied, beating his wings harder to conduct more lightning. nothing you say can deter me from trying to heal him. He dived down again, determined to try and get in close, using the closer distance for more accurate lightning strikes.
Night studied Rava, almost looking interested. Sassy. he teased him, before sprinting forwards, ever one to accept goading. As he swiped with one paw, his claws were licked by hellfire, which leapt out at Rava, determined to catch him even if nights swipe missed.

You mortals are most amusing. Your determination is the greatest trickery. Almost enough to be as entertaining as father's. Fenrir narrowed his eyes as a strike of lightning got closer than the ones before, though it was stopped by the lashing shadows before it got dangerously close. I'm almost tempted to let you keep Barachiel, so you'll be his first meal when he returns to his true self. The wolf seemed to smile, and the shadows reached out just a little more, stretching to try and grab Zephyr when he flew low enough.
Rava's brows shot up, and he closed his wings around himself. Night's claws raked across one of the tough, leathery wings, though the claws barely broke the skin. The flames did leave a nice burn however, yet he didn't make a sound. With Night being close enough, the wing snapped out, slamming into the hellcat and throwing him back.

you won’t LET me do anything- Barachiel is not a toy, or a pet. I refuse to let you treat him as such, you foul thing. Zephyr snapped, rolling to avoid the tentacle that nearly caught him, before glancing sharply up- a spear just barely missed his head, and thudded solidly into Fenrir’s shoulder. A sigh echoed from nearby, and zephyr turned to look with surprise at two literal teenagers, dressed in scruffy clothes, with old Norse armour over the top. It was a very strange combination. The one that had thrown the spear wore a very disappointed expression. They had fair blonde hair, they were Male, and stood at a good 6’5” height. The one next to them was slighter- almost feminine, with very long black hair trussed up into a messier bun than even Zephyr managed. He wore a lazy expression, and zephyr couldn’t quite figure out if he was a boy or a girl, actually- he just kept shifting. His eyes were a deep emerald green, with shimmering pieces of Amber flickering around the pupil. ‘You missed, Dan.’ The slighter person said, hands in his pockets. ‘Nearly hit the pretty bird.’ ‘I did not miss!’ The other responded, wearing a very offended expression. ‘A thorson-‘ ‘Never misses his target, for he is mighty.’ The other said, the two speaking in a chorus. They stared at each other for a moment, before the slight waved. ‘Heyo, birdy. I’m Martel. Got sent to help you with a wolf infestation?’ They cheerfully said, drawing out a bow and arrow from seemingly nowhere. Thank the Gods. Valhalla listened. Zephyr sighed, looking over at Nicholai, before he resumed his fight with Fenrir, not about to let his guard down.
Night hissed and rolled as he was hit, feeling a couple of his ribs fracture. He got back to his paws though, his body built to take heavy damage. He snarled softly at Rava, stalking towards him again, the flames now spilling out of his mouth, almost in liquid form.

Fenrir didn't move an inch, letting his shadows grab and break off the part of the spear that wasn't digging into his shoulder. You must be joking. His muzzle scrunched up, mostly out of annoyance.
Rava folded his wings, holding up his sickles as he watched Night. He glanced over to see the aid that had joined Zephyr. Great. His white eyes shifted back to Night for a moment, as if debating on where he should be. Then, he smiled, waved at the hellcat, and turned to leave Night as if they hadn't been fighting. His winged form flew over to Fenrir, and the shadows opened up to let him into his circle. Rava's eyes flashed a blinding white, and a sort of gray crystal dome formed, merging with the shadows. It wasn't impenetrable, but it was good enough to keep everyone away for now. Rava reached for Fenrir's wounded shoulder, but the bipedal wolf smacked his hand away. Don't. It is nothing major. Just give me some time. Rava rolled his eyes. You've grown old, Fenrir. I had to take my attention off of a rather appealing sabre to come help you. He sighed before stepping out of the dome, passing through the crystal like it were nothing.
"Six on two," Rava spoke aloud to them all, wings twitching "If I was full and not aching for a donut, than you'd all be smears, but my friend here is different. Bullying someone who just woke up isn't that nice, is it?" His white eyes shifted to study everyone. Three witchers, two very able-bodied "teens", and a storm witch. Ugh. Straightening up, Rava grew a second pair of wings as well as growing in height. At the very least triple what he'd been before, and he hadn't been a midget. His head changed shape, more of a bat-like appearance, and on top of that he sprouted three extra heads, one for each direction on a compass. One of the heads shifted its gaze over to Night, though all four heads smiled in sync as the tear and burn the half-demon gave his wing earlier began to heal up. Rava turned as much attention as he could to the two newcomers specifically. All four heads spoke in sync as he weighed his sickles again. "And what, do tell, does helping with this "infestation" entail?"
