Nicholai was about to answer, but Alder beat him to it. "It... tastes good." The Witcher snorted, saying "And also triples your heart rate." The chimp rolled his eyes, baring his canines briefly in a scoff before going to sit with the faeries. The other witch watched the exchange with a bored expression before turning her gaze to Nicholai. "That thing belongs in a lab."
"I will jam my thumbs in your eyes, Bahati. Don't be rude."

'I'd argue both your points and say he belongs in the wild, but...' Zephyr rolled his shoulders in a shrug, before moving to sit down on his couch, smiling at them both nervously. Tiny clouds hovered above all of his plants, raining into them gently to water them all and give the Faeries a drink.

"The last time he was in the wild," Nicholai said simply "He was almost killed by his own kind for what he was." Alder was technically a familiar, even though he didn't have any powers or such. He made up for it in his human-level, and then some, intelligence. "At this point, he could probably kill all the other chimps, and every other predator in a forest, but he claims he's "not a savage beast of the forest."" Moving on from the subject, he then asked "So, when do you think you would want to start your training?"

Zephyr rolled his shoulders in a shrug. 'Whenever it's convenient.' He said, looking at the witch. 'As long as I have time to take care of these creatures, we can start any time you'd like.' He tucked a strand of hair behind his ear, smiling.

Bahati blinked slowly, and said "I've got a handful of centuries left in my lifetime, Zephyr. So, I'm tailoring this to you. We can start today, at whatever hour you wish, for an hour. Best not to work you like a horse yet, cause you look like a daisy could knock you over." Of course she exaggerated, but the point was that they were going to start slow as not to overwhelm Zephyr. "Are these creatures able to look after themselves while you're gone? That being, I don't think this setting is good for training, novice or not."

'They'll be okay.' Zephyr replied, standing up. 'We can go now then I guess. Guys, please behave. I won't be long.' He smiled as some of the creatures called out to him, while others flew over to hug him before he left. He then moved to the door, whistling. The hellhound pup jerked to its feet from his bed, hurriedly- and clumsily, he had huge paws compared to his body- went to Zephyr's side, wagging his fluffy tail.

Nicholai watched the creatures stir upon realizing that Zephyr was leaving. Sighing, he turned to Alder and signed to him. Stay here. The chimp grumbled softly, but did stay, still in possession of one of the Witcher's pistols. It was unlikely for something to get in, but not impossible. And, a lot of unfortunate things had been happening lately. Nicholai briefly hugged his companion before moving to leave the flat, wrinkling his nose when he passed the Hellhound puppy. Bahati followed suit, briefly pausing by the pup to pet him before exiting the area.

The puppy wagged his tail as he was petted, before obediently falling in beside Zephyr. His paw seemed to be doing better, as he wasn't limping much and was keeping up easily. 'Where are we going to train?' Zephyr asked, looking at the two.

Bahati was quiet for a moment, but eventually answered with "There's nowhere near here we can even practice without being seen or destroying something, so I'll be doing a little teleporting." A hand peeked out from her cloak, covered in a black glove, and she snapped her fingers. "That quick, and no pain. And yes, we're able to get back here."

Zephyr hesitated, before slowly nodding. 'Alright...' he warily replied, accepting what she wanted. He was vaguely concerned by the concept that they would be destroying things.

Bahati tilted her head, then reached out. Four arms sprouted from under her cloak, three latching onto Nicholai, Zephyr and the Hellhound puppy. The arms were actually a yellow color with black spots, like some sort of bug. The fourth arm reached up, and snapped. Before one knew it, they were somewhere else. In a flat, plain of an area, with some forestry nearby. Taking her hands off of the males, she looked up as Ukuduma suddenly poofed into view, smiling widely. And yes, he still had Zephyr's teacup, which he held out to the witch with an apologetic smile.

Zephyr looked both traumatised and intimidated, but accepted the cup and backed up slightly from Bahati, eyes a little wider than what was normal, wearing an owlish expression. He then managed to calm himself down and looked around the area they were in, nervously fumbling with the hem of his jumper. 'Where are we?'

"My homeland," Bahati answered simply "Best you not know the details." Her arms retracted back under her cloak, and she started walking again. Nicholai took opportunity to look around, questioning "This isn't exactly it. Not from what I remember."
"That's because you trespassed into my village without an escort."
"Because your people were stealing children."
Bahati snorted, but said nothing. "We shall wait. They probably already know that we're-" Then, she paused when Nicholai pointed, turning her attention to approaching figures. Atop three horses were figures dressed similar to Bahati, cloaked with nothing showing except their eyes. And one of them had eight eyes. They said nothing, but did stare suspiciously over at Zephyr, angry clicking noises sounding when Nicholai causally took out his pistol, standing close to the younger witch. Bahati held up a hand, and the creatures backed off, grudgingly turning to lead them to who knew where.
"Besides healing magic," Bahati questioned "What else do you even have an ounce of experience with? Any random spasms of magic?"

Zephyr blinked, looking at her, severely uncomfortable as fearing the strangers. 'Not that I...' he hesitated as a sharp pain stabbed through his head, hearing an almost flashback-esque sound of a violent storm, followed by loud screaming. He flinched and held a hand to his head, confused as it faded away. 'Not- that I know of.' He replied. 'I mean- I guess I once made the teapot explode when I got mad at Edana, but... nothing else.' He felt like he was lying, but he wasn't sure why.

"Involuntary bouts of magic usually describe what the subject is made for," Bahati said as they walked, Ukuduma perching on her head "That exploding teacup probably means you have some sort of destructive magic, more or less. And, I told you about that druid boy the other day because of that storm that randomly popped up in a clear sky when you grew angry, with me or whatever reason." A short time passed before they reached what was obviously a civilization. It made one think of some sort of medieval tribe, trees, leaves and rocks used to their advantage, carts and stalls set up. The folk that we're there were a bit... different. A range of bipedal insects, arachnids and more, dressed in armor or cloaks. "What is this?" one called out, having noticed them approaching "His blood smells like the Witcher Witch's!" A mean-looking ant walked over with his buddies, antennae quivering. "You can't have him here! That is bad for us!" The creatures already approached Zephyr, but backed up when Nicholai raised his pistol to them, brows bent. "Back up," he growled dangerously. "Enough," Bahati spoke "Khan, this boy is not like his father, or I would not have agreed to take him in. You are welcome to watch the training, which is probably going to be very boring, but if you make a move on this witch, it is both my and this Witcher's job to see that you're killed."

'Apologies for my intrusion.' Zephyr very softly said, respectfully bowing his head to them, before nervously moving further behind Nicholai, starting to wonder if maybe he'd caused that storm the other day, and if Bahati was seeing something in him that he himself couldn't see. He couldn't help feeling a little loathing, once again, towards his father- it seemed his evil had spread beyond where Zephyr could even imagine.

Bahati led them past the angry creatures, who did indeed follow, just to make sure Zephyr didn't actually do anything. Soon, they found themselves in an area where those, very few, individuals with magic in the village go for training. If anything, it looked like some sort of arena, but decorated with various objects and obstacles. "Everyone else, out of the area, and find a spot to sit on the sidelines." Bahati started shooing everyone out and to the sidelines where they could watch, Nicholai grudgingly herding the Hellhound puppy out. "The first thing you need to learn," Bahati decided "Is how to get out of that phase of involuntary magic. We can sit you under some storm clouds, or pelt you with things until you do something." Tryable methods needed to go anywhere at that point cause Zephyr couldn't exactly do what was needed for Bahati to categorize him in terms of skill except for healing.

'Pelt me with things... until I do something.' Zephyr repeated, looking both amused and vaguely terrified. 'That's your way of making me do something?' He asked, running a hand through his hair. 'And why would sitting in a storm help? I've never-' he felt another flash of pain- 'had a connection to storms.' He rubbed at his head, wincing, and once more feeling the heavy weight of lies on his tongue.

Bahati sighed, and removed her mask. It revealed what looked vaguely like a bee, except with large white eyes instead of dark ones. Antennae flat against her head popped up, twitching as she pulled off her cloak, showing her yellow, black-spotted, four-armed figure. Her body was actually furry except for her face, forearms and the bottoms of her feet. Time to get to work. "I tend not to take clueless students, but I can't back out on you now I suppose. Your ignorance just confirms your nature." A flick of one of her arms caused clouds to turn gray, and thunder to roar loudly. Then, a bolt of lightning popped out of nowhere, striking oddly, and dangerously close to Zephyr.

He stressfully examined her, but seemed to grow calm as the storm grew overhead. He barely flinched as the lightning struck by him, only warily glancing at where it had been, and then moving closer to the strike site. 'What- do you want me to do?' He nervously asked.

"Think about mimicking my intentions," Bahati said simply "Make involuntary voluntary." She fisted one hand, and lightning struck again, catching her hand. Yet, it didn't explode in carnage, rather sticking to her arm, coiling around it for a moment before disappearing in a pop. "At the very least get lightning to strike down. Nothing fancy is needed yet."

Zephyr watched her with a wary gaze, unsure that he'd be able to so much as create a spark. He released a deep breath, quietly allowing his mother's old teachings to wash through him; clear his mind; feel the element. He closed his eyes, standing in silence, just listening to the storm and feeling the charge in the air. He imagined the clouds growing darker, the thunder louder, and the lightning more frequent; a more violent storm, more suited to what he preferred- wait, what? He opened his eyes with confusion, just as a massive bolt of lightning stuck the ground in front of him, forcing him to fall backwards onto his backside. He stared at the charred ground, then glanced up at the storm. Had he done this before?

The Bug People who were watching jumped in surprise, whispers breaking out like fire. Bahati looked at the charring from the bolt, antennae quivering with what could be satisfaction. "Better than I expected. Try again, and this time try to not fall on your a**." Another swish of her hand caused lightning to strike and char one of the objects set about the area. "And if lightning drains too much, just stick to dealing with the clouds at least. If you can't command clouds, then you can't bring forth a storm." Simple tasks for now, to see how Zephyr even grew in such magic. Everyone had their own style.

Zephyr blinked as he watched her, before slowly breathing out, calming himself down again. He stood, taking power from around him- not from within like the common witch. Oh, no- he wasn't stupid. You can use your strength to create the element- but then use the power of what you've made to charge yourself. He breathed slowly in, and then with his exhale, he brought forth a surge of more lightning. It fizzled and crackled as it struck- remaining in place and connected to the angry skies, dancing and humming as it spasmed. Three more struck around him, followed by a fourth and fifth in a pentagonal formation. He shivered, feeling power crawl up his spine, and slowly opened his eyes which were glowing a bright electric blue. Then, all at once, he felt a terrified panic sprint through his veins- a memory of destruction and screaming breaking through whatever spell had kept it locked away from him. He panicked and released the lightning, which violently sprang in any direction it wanted, untamed and free without Zephyr's iron hold. Many items were struck and destroyed or shattered, leaving charred scorchmarks. He ran a shaking hand through his hair, eyes wide. 'I don't want it.' He said, backing away from her. 'Take me home. I don't want it.'

A few of the bolts had gotten quite close to the crowd, who shrieked in surprise. Bahati tried to approach Zephyr, but stopped when terrified shrieks turned to angry shouts. "See, he's dangerous!" the same ant from earlier called "He nearly got a few of us!"
"He got scared of something!" Nicholai snapped "He didn't do it on purpose!"
"Of course he did!" someone shouted "Didn't you see him a second ago! Burn him!"
Nicholai attempted to get in a few more words, but they wouldn't listen, some of the crowd jumping into the arena and heading right for the young witch. Bahati tried to get close enough to teleport him, but a large beetle stood in her way. Another villager got close to Zephyr, but his face exploded in a mess of black guck, Nicholai having popped a bullet through the back of his head before dodging the swipe of someone's giant claw. Within seconds, everyone in the area had zeroed in on the four individuals who had not meant any harm. Bahati was only able to protect Zephyr from afar though, putting a done of lightning around him to keep him from getting snatched or killed while she and Nicholai tried to punch a whole in the crowd for escape.

Zephyr felt angry, distressed tears jump into his eyes, his powers now falling away from his control. The storm above grew angry with zephyr's emotion, clouds swelling and turning the skies black. Electricity arced up the young witches arms as he covered his head, straining to control his breathing and his high levels stress. 'Go away.' He groaned, squeezing his eyes shut, staggering slightly. 'It's too loud.' He panted, slowly opening his eyes to the blur of the angry, scared crowd of beasts. 'Shut- shut UP!!!' He yelled, flinging his arms down and away from his head. A bombardment of lightning struck the ground around the young witch, forcing everything and everyone away from him; sending the strange creatures flying through the air and crashing into walls, but never killing- never outrightly touching them. His only intent to get the damn things away from his space. Panting heavily and his eyes wild, he backed up to the dome that Bahiti had made, before forcing his way through it, and making a run for it, sprinting away into the nearest wildlands.
((If all else fails- leave civilisation to be a hermit 😂))

The mass of lightning caused everyone to be knocked over, but the first ones up were Bahati and Nicholai. Bahati told Nicholai to go find Zephyr, letting Ukuduma accompany him just in case anyone tried to attack them. The witch was to stay behind and try and keep the crowd from leaving and hunting Zephyr, which they very well wanted to do. So, Nicholai and Ukuduma left the area, also taking Zephyr's Hellhound. The small group of friendlies, all worried, were now searching the the mix of plain and forest, hoping that nothing got to the witch by the time they found him. Soon, the angry cries and curses were null, and it was mostly silence except for whatever animal was moving or calling out in its native tongue.

The hellhound seemed to pick up Zephyr's scent and began to yip, running ahead as fast as he could. About an hour later he came to a large, ancient oak tree of some kind, and began to jump at the trunk, barking. In the tree, on one of the highest branches, sat Zephyr. He was huddled against the trunk, shaking, his eyes tightly shut. 'Go away.' He croaked.

Nicholai and Ukuduma caught up a few seconds later, looking up at Zephyr. "And what will you accomplish out here?" the Witcher questioned simply "Besides give the folk back there the satisfaction of your fear?" The longer they stayed, where they could be sensed, the angrier and more bloodthirty the villagers would probably get. "Come down so Bahati can see about taking you home."

'I'm not afraid of them.' He mumbled, implying it was himself he was hiding from. He hesitated, before slowly climbing down and walking over, green/brown eyes downcast and depressed. The puppy fell in beside him as they began to walk, Zephyr hugging himself. 'im not different from him.' He mumbled.
