It's a good idea, but I personally think on forums like these, it would only add negativity. There haven't been many problems with having rants in the OTD or General Discussion, so I think it's fine if we leave it that way. Besides, there'd be a lot of pretty unnecessary thread-moving the mods would have to do.

Like Kenshin said, it'll go crazy. Though it may begin benign, in no time there'll be rude topics, people will be called out by name, there'll be crude language, and the trolls flock to it.
Even though OTD already has plenty of some of those things, I'm sure once we get mods, we'll see less of that too.
As much as I love everyone here, remember, this is [supposed to be] a children's cast book forum, not necessarily a venting zone.

I frequent a site that has both Rant and Raves subboards.
I think it is a good idea in some places. There are only ever a few fights in the Rants board, but the other site is... mostly adults and can talk to each other like adults. There is even a Hotlines thread stickied to the top of the forum, along with a thread about appropriate debating.
I feel that it would be a nice place to let off steam, however people are doing that anyway in OTD. Besides, I have a feeling that people would just pick fights in the Rants/Yowl board, which isn't what it's for. Sorry, but no support!
If the topic comes up later, and there is an obvious need for it, I don't see a problem in reconsidering it at a later date.

Eh, this is still a Cats forum. If we stray too far from that with totally un-Warriors-related boards that are not necessarily necessary, it'll drive some potential members away.

Agreed, I don't think it would bring any positivity to the board. Only negativity.
It's a sweet idea, but unfortunately it'd get too crazy.
