Might be a dumb question, but better safe than sorry. Can we have guns in an rp? I saw that you can have zombies so I wanted to make a zombie survival rp.

How far are you thinking of taking it?
I think this question has been asked before, though I'm going to look around again.
I checked OTRP for RPs that include weapons. It seems that most people go the route of keeping it simple; they don't go full out with gore or describe graphic situations.
To be honest, I'm completely fine with the use of weaponry in roleplays as long as it doesn't cross the line into rated R because we have members here who are either: a.) younger, b.) dislike weapons, and/or c.) don't agree with the use of them. It is suggested that you do not promote violence with the use of guns in roleplay.
TL;DR - It's fine as long as you don't take it too far.

Agreeing with Sand and also adding this: super/advanced weapons are okay too, but don't go explaining full details of the killing. Describing weapons and their components/mechanisms is okay! But don't go into detail for hitting a human bullseye.

barberz Agreeing Sand and 🆉🅴🅻🅳🆁🅸🆂 Weaponry in RP should not be an issue as long as it does not transform the role-play content into an R rated story. Just do not focus on the immense depth of how a weapon causes damage once it physically lands on its target. Rather focus on the emotions of the individual such as thoughts, dizziness, loss of air and, how background characters feel in results. Metaphors too can help deliver the same emotion as direct description, but gain there is only so far it can go without the help of fellow role-players to help fill in the gaps. An extreme example... and surprisingly well to my point is Power Rangers Lost Galaxy,Lightspeed Rescue,Timeforce, and Wildforce. Where they execute such dark themes without ever focusing directly on the damage, instead the result both internally and externally (Other Power Rangers series works too but these four were dark-))
