@borderline for the damaged ;; claimed by xiahou dun duplicate claimed by sweetclover1 muse a has lost everything. their home. their family. their job. they didn't expect for one little mistake to go so far, and yet here they are - homeless and alone, with nothing to their name. they become involved with an international crime family, and their life goes on from there. it's from this family that they meet muse b, the family's most trusted sniper. unfortunately, muse b is the one who has to teach muse a the ropes - about loyalty and honesty, and about recovering from a harsh past. (my claim; muse

gale amari // 34 yrs old intimidating is not something that he is, but hey, he's doing his best. he's barely 5'3, has medium-brown skin and is of a lean-muscled, climber's build. his hair runs a line between wavy and curly, and is a dark brown with reddish undertones. gale's eyes are a light blue-green and he has a small mole dotting under one, and he's often seen with eyeliner of some description. he has two scars through his right eyebrow, a notable 'x' on his left cheek, and some nasty scarring over his throat; though that's not where they end, as his hands are riddled in small scars, as are his forearms and legs. his back is downright battered when compared to the rest of his body, with many thin scars crisscrossing, and he has some random patches of scars here and there on his torso, the most notable being a possible burn scar over his lower abdomen. it's hard to keep track, really. he has multiple piercings, most notable small hoops lining the shells of both ears, and double lobe piercings (one hoop, one stud for each). he has a tongue piercing and a labret piercing, too. he's usually seen in dark skinny jeans and pale button-ups of some description, and he's very rarely seen without his red scarf. bracelets line both forearms, too. he's egyptian-romani and multilingual, though it's unknown how many languages he actually speaks. he's often mistaken for being younger than he is, but he's a talented sniper and knows what he's doing, mostly.

Ezra Marx- 26-
Ezra is almost like a ghost. He has a rather pale complexion, one that will tan to honey brown if he's outside long enough (which he really never is). His hair is a white blonde color and, although he used to prefer it being cut short and looking put together, it's now longish, his locks landing right beneath his shoulder blades if he left it down. He usually keeps it in a ponytail though, making sure that no hair is out of place. He had sharp green eyes, and a small scar over the bridge of his nose that runs over his left eye, tapering off at his eyebrow, along with a scar that looks like it's from a burn on his right shoulder. Those aren't the only scars he has, there are quite a few that are scattered around his body from a horrible mistake he made when he was sixteen. He's around five foot four, but barely weighs a hundred and fifteen pounds soaking wet, scrawny, weak, and underweight from his years on the streets. He's been homeless since he was twenty one, the year he was finally able to escape his fathers house. When he was sixteen he had gone out to a party, not telling either of his parents where he was going. His mother had set out to find him, and when she did she drug him back home. At least that was what the plan had been. Instead some drunk driver was driving on the wrong side of the road and hit the car she had been driving, killing her and leaving Ezra injured. Ezras father blaimed him for this, and, frankly, Ezra does too. It was why he didn't leave for so long. But one day enough was enough and he left, not realizing he needed documentation and a place to live in order to work (his father didn't let him work when he was in the house) and he ended up living on the streets until he was picked up by the Family. For them he's a good runner, and because of his tendency to want to fly under the radar he's good at eavesdropping and getting them information, too. He's trilingual, able to speak English, Castillian Spanish (his mother was from Spain) and Italian. Spanish is his first language, having living in Barcelona until he was fifteen. Even after he left he still found it easier to speak Spanish than English on any given day, and when he becomes frustrated he will resort to Spanish to voice those frustrations.

It was cold. That was all that Ezra could think about as the man huddled against the wall in a dark, dank alley. There was little light in it, the only glow coming from the dirty lightbulb over the backdoor of the Italian restaurant. Ezra stayed as far away as possible from that place, knowing that not only was the chef there a mean mother f***er but plenty of shady dealings went on in that place. He had quickly learn to avert his gaze and ignore any of the desperate cries that reached his ears from his spot in the blackest part of the alleyway. If he didn't, then he'd be haunted for nights with what he heard. You'd think after years of living on the streets he'd become numb to the sounds, but he still hadn't gotten used to it yet.
He would just pretend that everything was alright, put his mind in a happier place, like the library. He sniffled a little, stiffening when he heard the door creak opening and he moved his stiff joints, scrambling behind the large garbage bin, not wanting to be seen and finding comfort in his little dark corner of the world. He imagined he was a ghost, someone who could watch and not be seen. The twenty six year old nudged the grey slush around him, trying to make the area around him a little less wet, even if he was already soaked to the bone. He supposed it was just him trying to get more comfortable, less wet even if he could already feel his torn jeans begin to stiffen as the wet patches in the cloth began to freeze again. It was a familiar process, one that he'd had to live with for, what was it? Five years now? He honestly didn't know. He'd long stopped trying to figure out how long it had been since he'd escaped his fathers home. Ezra was unaware of how much time had truly passed, only keeping track of the years because of the seasons. He'd survived winter five times, so it had been five years. The underweight man stiffened when he heard quiet footsteps walk towards the back of the alley, where he was hiding and he felt his heart stop in fear, praying they would stop before they reached him.
He didn't have that much luck.
The pair of footsteps stopped infront of him, but he kept his eyes shut, praying that they would think he was still asleep. He bit the inside of his lip, hoping that they would stay away from him, not wanting to be beaten to a pulp for staying in their alleyway. It had happened before, it would happen again. He'd only been here for three weeks, so he was pretty lucky in that respect. They'd let him stay this long, so maybe he'd get to survive with a few bruises and maybe a fractured wrist.
"This the kid?" One of the voices asked, the accent hard for Ezra to place. Mierda. He swore, but tried to keep still, opening his eyes just a little, seeing two sets of legs. He tried his best to stay still, hoping that he would get another night if he was asleep. If not he'd get some sharp kicks so he'd "Wake up". Either option was plausible, and he was honestly terrified at the thought of what could actually happen. He knew very well how they treated people that upset them, and he didn't know if living in their alleyway for free was the kind of thing that would anger them.
"Yeah. Hey, kid, we know you're awake. You might as well get up," The other voice responded, nudging his shaking form with a black boot. Ezra flinched away, opening his dark green eyes as he looked up, seeing a man and a woman infront of him, the offending foot belonging to a blonde haired man with a scar over his eye. To his left was a rather small woman with ginger hair and a not so friendly scowl on her face.
"You gonna explain to us why you've been camping out behind our restaurant for three weeks?" She asked, looking down unimpressed at his terrified form. He swallowed, realizing that he would be expected to respond to her. "I-uh, I'm sorry. I'll just have to move along..." He rasped, his voice rough from misuse. He rubbed his cheeks, covered with a curly beard that he wanted nothing more than to shave off but didn't have the money for a razor. He moved, his knees popping as he struggled up onto his feet, his legs trembling as he swayed. He took a step forward before he felt himself be shoved against the wall again, letting out a small whimper as he shut his eyes tightly again. "We didn't say you could leave. We want to know why you're here," The man growled, close to his face. Ezra trembled again, knowing that he was in a pretty bad situation. He lifted his hand, slamming the palm of his hand into the others nose, feeling the soft bone crunch under his hand. The much larger man crumbled, his face contorting in pain but Ezra didn't stop to see the aftermath, instead he shot forward, slipping on the slush and landing roughly on his shoulder. Ezra hissed, shivering as the pain from his shoulder and the freezing cold assaulted his body. Before he could get up he felt a foot kick him onto his back and now it was on his chest, the sharp point of a heel digging into his chest and he winced uncomfortably, looking up and widening at the angry face he saw, the knife in her hand. "You know we were going to let you go, but after that little stunt I'm going to have to teach you a lesson," She responded, clucking her tongue in mock disappointment. He shut his eyes again as she leaned down, feeling the familiar burn of a knife slicing his cheek, running slowly down to his neck an- Boom boom. Gun shots rang through the alleyway and he felt something fall ontop of him. He opened his eyes, alarmed as he shoved the woman off, looking up at a dark haired, tanned man looking down at him, offering a hand. Ezra took it, staring at him, alarmed.
"That was some nice moves. Shame you slipped. " The man commented, acting as if killing someone wasn't a big deal. Ezra didn't answer, looking down at his feet nervously. There was silence, until- " Hablas Espanol, Chico?" He glanced up at that, surprised to hear someone who spoke it as if it were his native tongue. " Si, Si, hablo espanol. Inglis tambien." He responded in his hoarse voice, looking at him. "Ah, just being rude and not answering me, eh?" and the pale man blushed in embarrassment at that. "N-no sir, I'm sorry.." His voice faded off, hearing the low chuckle. "Well, anyways, I have a proposition for you..."
And that was how Ezra ended up in this tiny, cramped coffee shop this early morning. He didn't look anything like he did the night before, his skin now pale and almost pristine, especially compared to the grime that was caked onto him the night before. He was now clean shaven, and it was easy to tell his hair was white now, and it was pulled back in a neat ponytail. A pair of glasses were now perched on his nose and he was now realizing how blind he was without them. He could now make out peoples faces, different objects. He shifted, picking at the soft grey sweater that had been given to him, overwhelmed by how his life had turned around so quickly. He was still dangerously skinny, and was in training so he could easily be back on the streets or dead if he screwed up, but now he had some hope. So now he was waiting for this man, this sniper apparently, who was supposed to train him and show him the ropes. He wasn;t sure how he felt about being in some kind of gang (or at least he thought this was what he was getting involved with), but it was giving him a chance at living instead of dying on the streets like he was expecting himself too. So, even though he was hopelessly confused as to how he got into this situation, he was going to go for it. He scanned the crowd, looking for the man who was supposed to be meeting him.
