Adrien reached for the surface of the water. He had been pulled into the riptide, and was stuck. He fell unconscious as a strong arm pulled him to shore.
Summer checked his pulse. Nothing. She started to do CPR.
For a few minutes, nothing happened.
Suddenly, Adrien coughed everything up. There was nothing left inside of him.
Summer's eyes widened. Everyone around her's mouths were moving, but she could only hear sirens.

Chapter 1:
Summer snapped awake, tears running down her cheeks. She leapt out of bed and raced down the hall to Adrien's room. "ADRIEN!!" she yelled, bursting into the room.
Adrien fell off his bed. "What's wrong?!" he asked worriedly.
"Y-You're okay? Are you hurt?" she asked.
"I-I had a nightmare, and-"
"I'm okay." Adrien cut her off. "What was said nightmare about?"
"Y-You d-drowned... I couldn't get to you in time..." Summer broke down.
"Hey, hey, it's fine, I'm fine, no one we know has died yet." Adrien soothed. "Now get some sleep. Tomorrow's the Con."
"O-Okay."
Adrien fell off his bed. "What's wrong?!" he asked worriedly.
"Y-You're okay? Are you hurt?" she asked.

"I'm okay." Adrien cut her off. "What was said nightmare about?"

The next morning, Summer woke up to an alarm. She slammed her hand on it. She sat up and stretched. Oh!! she realized. She leapt out of bed, getting into her cosplay.
She was getting on the hairspray dye when Adrien came in. "You got the color contacts?" he asked.
"Yep."
"Good." Adrien had his brown hair in a blonde hairspray, shades, and a shirt he ordered online.
Summer put her hair down and brushed it flat. "Remember we have a panel at 1:00 PM."
"Yeah, I will."
"Good."

Summer stared around as they arrived, her fake wolf ears twitching. The glasses framing her now-green eyes were perched on her nose. Someone she had never seen gave her a thumbs up. Her skirt was already bugging her. She caught sight of the rest of the cosplay group, which included Winter, her brother, as John. She waved as she walked over.
Adrien hung back a little until Summer finally came back over and dragged him towards the group by the hand. "Guys, here's our Dave!" she said, eyes sparkling. Adrien kinda waved awkwardly. Winter/John waved back casually. "Welcome to the nerd group! he joked.
"Ha-ha, very funny, Winter." Summer said sarcastically. "We're not nerds, we're geeks."
"True that." the girl with the short blonde hair piped up.
"America, where're the people who agreed to be the trolls?" Summer asked.
"I dunno" America shrugged, shrugging.
