So like. Backstory: we make our schedule a whole month in advance and like I understand people don't always have their whole lives planned out a month in advance but imo this is how we always do it so like you know this is what's happening and you need to work your shifts.
I've already been asked by 2 different people to cover their shifts. And like. It's all fine and good but I'm super burnt out for the summer and I'm already having trouble coping with all the shifts I'm scheduled for. Like taking on more shifts makes me feel worse than I already do.
Not to mention one wanted me to cover for them and I would've worked 6 days in a row and granted they're not 8 hour shifts but like my mental health is so bad right now I have to prepare myself for every single shift. And it would've given me only one day off the week after the summer ended. And I need like a week off right now because I feel so bad. But I also need money so (:
And like it's rlly hard to explain to coworkers that picking up their shift will make you die a little more on the inside.
But I'm also just like. WORK. YOUR. SHIFT?! Because like I never ask anybody to cover my shifts and I some how have my life planned out a month in advance. So like. You can too??? And if something comes up after that's not a emergency then??? Sorry??? But I've skipped things too because I had to work??? So I don't feel bad for you.
But that's just me

Tell them you will take there shift only if they take one of yours, thats how my work does it. "Will you work this day if I work that day?" kind of thing.

Have your boss sort them out if they can't take no for an answer? I mean, you can't work that long without a at least the weekend off. If you don't mind, what kind of job is it? You don't have to be specific, like if you work at Burger King, you could just tell me fast food instead um well my gf has worked like 10 days in a row and got like a day off and was back at work. My job doesn't really work that way. As long as you don't go over 40 a week they can p much schedule you as much as they want. And in theory I could probably work every day this month and not go over hours lol. And I never get weekends off. Ever. I haven't had a full weekend off since I was not working for a month uwu. And I work at a park.

"Will you work this day if I work that day?" kind of thing. one of them did so thankfully that worked itself out but he was salty abt it. And the other one I said no because I have a shot that day and I don't want to work on those days
