I was surfing through Facebook and I found this
I am delighted to see that Su Susann has been answering your queries efficiently and accurately - Susi really does know the details better than my feeble memory can recall! However, she has asked me to confirm some things which crop up frequently, which I am happy to do. The world of Warriors is incredibly complicated, due to insufficient planning at the very start of Series One (in my defence, I thought it was just going to be ONE BOOK!). There are inconsistencies and errors, all my own fault, but there are some things which can be taken as fact.
-Doefeather succeeded Beetail, who was deputy under Oakstar. Beetail is in StarClan now.
-There are 9 years between the end of Mapleshade’s Vengeance and the start of Goosefeather’s Curse.
-Pinestar’s Choice starts 3 Years after Mapleshade’s death.
-Windflight's parents are Squirrelflight of ThunderClan and Eaglestorm, a gray WindClan warrior with green eyes.
-Sweetbriar and Fallowsong are sisters, so Poppydawn and Pinestar are cousins.
-Rainfur's mate, and thus father of Thrushkit, Dapplekit and Tawnykit, was Windflight.
-Mudpaw/claw and Tornpaw/ear are the children of Ryestalk and Shrewclaw.
-Ashpaw/foot and Morningpaw/flower are the first litter of Wernflight and Stagleap (from WindClan) (their second litter included Onekit/star)
-Speckletail is a pale golden tabby with amber eyes
-Harepounce's mate, and thus father of Specklekit and Onekit, was Stagleap (from ThunderClan)
-Hawkfoot is the same cat as in Code of the Clans
-Morningstar is the same cat as in Battles of the Clans
Phew! I think those are all the main points that are causing debate. Of course I will continue to answer your questions - or Susi will on my behalf. I promise I read all of your posts and comments, so never think that I am ignoring you. As if I would do that to you! Without you, I would be writing in the dark, and nobody would have heard of these strange little fighting cats...

And now Onestar is also another cat who's a living descendant of Windstar.

I wonder why she mentioned Hawkfoot and Morningstar when both cats have only appeared once so far, though. I guess they'll appear in PC and she just wanted to confirm it in advance?
I like how Vicky seems to actually be keeping track of information this time.

...wait. it was confirmed a while ago that heathertail is onestar and whitetail's daughter, right? and ashfoot is crowfeather's mom. we now know that she's also onestar's older sister. so that would make crowfeather and heathertail cousins.
...huh.

Why mention Morningstar and Hawkfoot? Morningstar was leader before Oakstar and Redstar, and Hawkfoot goes wayyyyy back during the time of Hazelstar, several leaders before even Swiftstar. It's impossible for Hawkfoot to have lived through 7 leaderships- unless Eaglestorm, who probably will be in PC, tells an elder's tale about her to Pinestar or something.
Morningstar makes a bit more sense because, seeing as he probably didn't live very long and was weak, and Redstar might not have been leader for very long- it wouldn't bee unlikely for his name to be thrown around here or there. Still... that's a long time though, and I would worry if Vicky made them so they were alive.

Three years? I thought Pinestar’s Choice took place near the end of Pinestar's leadership.
So, Squirrelwhisker (lol, Squirrelflight)was Windflight's mother? That's great to finally know! And his father was named Eaglestorm? I wonder if we'll meet him in PC.
Sweetbriar and Fallowsong are sisters? Is that why Poppydawn named her daughter after Sweetbriar? I don't think they even met. Unless she was there in GC, and we just didn't get to meet her.
So Windflight had another mate before Poppydawn? I wonder what happened to Rainfur in that case.
So Mudclaw is Shrewclaw and Ryestalk's son?! I knew it! I wasn't expecting Tornear to be his littermate though.
Ashfoot and Morningflower are Onestar's older siblings? Cool! That means Gorsepaw was Onestar's nephew and Onestar appointed his sister as his first deputy.
That nice to know who Harepounce's mate was. The TC Stagleap.
Why the information about Hawkfoot and Morningstar?

Windflight mentored his own daughter.
SkyClan left the forest only a few years before MV took place.
There is a very good chance that we are going to get the entire timespan from MV through the present.

There are several things I realized from all of this. Windflight mentored his own daughter. SkyClan left the forest only a few years before MV took place. There is a very good chance that we are going to get the entire timespan from MV through the present. I've noticed this as well. And speaking of SkyClan, I still really wish Vicky would just confirm my analysis of how MV doesn't take place directly after SkyClan's exile given all the evidence. I do wonder how many years is the event up to when MV takes place, though. |
