post up to 8 names, and i'll rate them 1-10 with reasons
please say whether you want me to rate them traditionally (which will require why the cat has the name + their rank) or just the basic, normal way where i rate how it looks/sounds/etcetcetc
clan, ancient and tribe names are accepted
if you get 9 or 10 you get a free kit. make them into an oc, draw fanart.. your choice i guess change their descriptions if you want
the kits
Mudkit - a quiet dark brown spotted tom-kit with a long tail and green eyes. he hates talking to other people and likes staying in his den alone. he dreams of becoming a leader.
Lionkit - a golden tabby she-kit with a white muzzle and paws and orange eyes. she's very talkitive and a lot of the other cats think she's quite annoying. her favorite thing to do is listening to the elder's stories, though she finds it hard to stay quiet
Mousekit - a tiny light brown tom-kit with a few white patches on him and green eyes. he often gets bullied for being smaller than the other kits but may have a small evil part of him hidden.
Stonekit - a thin silver she-kit with white paws, belly and a muzzle. her eyes are light orange and she likes to boast about how she's pretty and the others are 'so so ugly!' this is mostly just joking though, and she's actually quite kind.
Badgerkit - a large black and white tom-kit with a missing tail. he doesn't care though, and prefers to not tell the others about how he got it. he's friendly, but a little short-tempered and dreams of becoming the best warrior he can be

Treemist - I don't really like this one. They don't go that well together and I've never liked -mist as a suffix, or Tree as a prefix-. Try more specific with the type of tree. 2/10 Archwhisker - I've always really loved -whisker as a suffix, but I hate Arch-. However, the two do go quite well together and it sounds adorable. 8/10 Copperspots - It sounds really cute, and I like it. It's a little hard to say though and takes a while for me to get the sound out, but I have a stutter so I won't take as many points off for that. A really nice name! 7/10 Stormprint - Eek. I hate -print as a suffix and what is it even supposed to mean (as a suffix?) I like the prefix though, even if it is a little overused. 5/10 Seaeyes - The -eyes prefix doesn't make sense, as kits don't open their eyes until a little after they're born and cats can't have blue fur. I can't really imagine the cat when I think of the name. 1/10 Sweetbird - I really don't like Sweet- as a prefix, because most of the time it refers to the cat's sweet personality. Kittens don't have much of a personality when they're born. I love -bird, though. 5/10 Pebblenose - I love this name. I can imagine the cat, easy to say, looks good together, and it's great. Pebble- is one of my favorite prefixes, heh. Go choose a kit! 10/10 Duskfrost - I don't like this name. Looks a little weird but I can barely say it. I don't have much to say on this one, but I love the prefix and suffix... just not together.
You've won a kit! Choose any out of the ones above.

Quickstep - doesn't really make sense - you wouldn't know a kit's quick after it's just been born. It goes quite well together, however. 2/10 Whitebird - I love the name, but it's not amazing. I've always really liked the -bird suffix. Goes quite well together and sounds great. 8/10 Nightspirit - I like it! Reminds me of a dark, mysterious cat... anyway, it looks good, sounds good, but I'm not sure the cats wouldn't know what a spirit is. 7/10 Turtlecloud - It doesn't go well together. Animal prefixes don't really go well with most things, however. Sounds okay though. I love both prefixes, but not together. 4/10 Silverleaf - It's good. I've never really liked the silver- prefix, but together they sound very pretty. They go quite well together. 8/10 Shellsong - I really love it! They sound amazing together, and it's a very pretty name! The only thing stopping it from getting a 10 is that it's a little difficult to say because they both start with s. 9/10 Honeystep - They don't really go well together, but it sounds alright. I've never really liked Honey- or -step, but it's better together. 5/10 Thistleberry - I like it! The two wouldn't really go together most of the time, I have to admit, but it sounds very pretty here. The prefix and suffix don't look good together, though. 7/10

Applefall - I love it. Not the best, but it sounds pretty and the two fit very well together. It sounds good too and rolls off the tounge. 8/10 Tidewhisker - Okay, I love -whisker so much. And compared with Tide- it's even better. I never thought of using Tide- before, but you've made it sound amazing! You can choose a kit. 10/10 Darkstorm - I don't like it. Sounds very basic and a normal villain name. The two fit well together, but just... don't really work. 3/10 Swiftstream - It's really pretty! The two are amazing together, unlike most names that have the prefix and suffix start with the same. However, the mother wouldn't know a kitten is swift just after it's born, unless you're talking about the bird. Swift, meaning bird: 9/10 Swift, meaning fast: 4/10 Finchsong - It's alright. I've never really liked bird prefixes, especially combined with -song. The two are okay together, however and sound nice. 6/10 Graynettle - I really don't like this name. I hate the -nettle suffix, especially combined with Gray-. It doesn't sound or look good together either. 2/10 Citrusfeather - Never thought of using citrus-, but it works really well here. It's a love it or hate it name in my opinion. And I love it! 9/10 Ivytangle - I don't like -tangle, at least not combined with Ivy-, which I don't like either. It sounds okay though, so you get a few points for that. 3/10 You get to choose one kit!

Muffledcry - This name is really sad and I don't understand why it would be used. It sounds perfect though, and looks great. I just don't get the meaning. 4/10 Heatherspring - It's okay. Heather- as a prefix is fine, but I dislike -spring. They don't look too great together either. 4/10 Blossomleaf - It's good! They sound great together, and I've always loved Blossom- and -leaf. Combined, I love them! It also rolls off the tounge and looks good. 9/10 Fernheart - Not one of my favorites. They aren't too great together and I'd remove the -heart and go with.. you guessed it, -whisker (EDIT: WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT EMOJI) Kiwiclaw - I love it! I don't like -claw as a suffix, but it works well with some prefixes, such as Kiwi-! This is probably the best use of the suffix I've seen for a long time. Very original, too. Choose a kit! 10/10 Tuiwhisker - I mean, I love -whisker, but not when it's combined with Tui-. It looks good and sounds good, but it just.. doesn't work that well. 4/10 Choose a kit!

I'll pass on the kit, thanks. I only do these to see what others think of my names. Also, the reason behind the name Muffledcry is because when he was born, his meow wasn't all there, and was all croaky. His mother had taken longer than usual to name him other than his littermates, and he'd more often than not, sleep underneath his littermates. So his mother had named him Muffledkit because of his croaky meow and cause it was most of the time muffled because he'd sleep under his littermates. The suffix -cry was given to him because of his bad temper and snappy retorts, and also partly from his meow. (despite his bad temper though, he practically melts when he's around kits. he puts up a tough act, but around kits, that completely disappears)Also, with Tuiwhisker, she got the prefix Tui- because their was a Tui bird flying around near her mother when she was born. The suffix -whisker is because of her hunting skills. Just if you wanted to know.

here have some random names and cats
Maybe rate Petalstorm, Doveflight, Thorntuft, and Slushfeather the traditional way and the rest the basic way, if that's okay. All of them are warriors, no deputy/ medicine cat etc.
Petalstorm - Brown tabby she cat with a white muzzle, belly, and yellow eyes. Petalstorm is feisty and can't seem to keep still. She is very loyal, often to a fault. She usually won't back down from a fight, and can be rather unpredictable at times. She can also be prideful, and often overestimates her abilities. However, she can be considered a mousebrain. The prefix Petal is because of her pelt, which aside from the larger patches has a flurry of white spots across her chest and legs that are somewhat similar to the shapes of petals. The suffix Storm is because of her unpredictable nature and skill in battle.
Doveflight - Grey tom with white flecks and amber eyes. Doveflight is calm, collected, and accepting. However, he views his own feelings as lower and others, and this results in him almost never speaking his opinion. He is also very indecisive. There's a certain grace to how he jumps and leaps, yet he is below average in battle. He is good at hunting and tracking scents. The prefix Dove, because of his fluffy grey (yet not white, yes I know such a good match x3) pelt and I've kinda always wanted to see a tom called Dove. The suffix Flight because of his climbing and leaping ability, and nothing more than that.
Thorntuft - Prickly brown tabby she cat with green eyes. Thorntuft is your average warrior. Honestly I don't know what more to add. The prefix Thorn because of her pelt, and the suffix Tuft to add onto the fact that her fur sticks out in all sorts of directions.
Slushfeather - Fluffy dark grey she cat with green eyes. Slushfeather is cold, much like her name and appears to lack emotion, especially toward kits. She was once warm, polite, and gentle, but an encounter with a fox changed that. She has had two litters of kits in the past. One kit was killed by a fox during apprenticeship, and Slushfeather was heartbroken when she found out. Now, she tries not to allow anyone into her heart and tries to keep her distance, for she feels she won't be able to handle yet another loss of one she cares about. She still serves her clan (whatever it is, I haven't decided) all the same, with her grief at bay. The prefix Slush is because of her pelt color. The suffix Feather is because of her long fur, and her once warm personality.
Berrybrush - Fluffy pale brown and white she cat with blue eyes. Berrybrush is talkative and friendly.
Sparrowheart - Brown tabby tom with white paws and green eyes.

Duckfoot || Glossy-furred tom. Well-muscled and tall. His fur is a unusual lighter brown; it seems to shine dull gold when caught in the sunlight. His pelt is covered with an array of dark, muddy brown spots that fade into his fur, making it appear that he had been splattered with mud. His eyes are a deep amber, with extremely faint golden flecks dotting his irises. He has a very small portion of his tail; the edges of the fur seem to wisp off, creating the illusion of feathers. His massive paws have webbing between the toes, allowing him to swim more easily.
Burntfur || Burntfur is named for what her pelt looks like: burnt. Her fur is dark chocolate brown, nearly black, all over. However, it is interrupted by a mottled mixture of dark brown and black. This gives her the appearance of something that was set on fire once. Her eyes are a strange, deep amber. Her front right paw is suddenly white.
Traditional, please.
