Why is this a required class to graduate at my school? This is the most boring history subject I've ever dealt with. Do your schools require you to take a class on government? At least in order to graduate? What classes do you need to graduate, and how many credits are required?
For me, it's Four English classes (9, 10, 11, and 12) which is 4 credits all together Three of four math classes (including Algebra I, II and Geometry.) this is three credits. Two science classes. (One must be biology, the other could be chemistry or geoscience) that's two credits. World History or Geography. Which is one credit. US history. One credit. US Government. (This is only taken senior year) one credit. PE is worth two. Health education is 1/2 a credit. Use of Computers is 1/2 a credit. And you need 7 1/2 credits worth for electives.
We need 22 1/2 credits all together I hate my school That's just a standard school district diploma ;w;
What about y'all?

I think it's supposed to be so that you can be a more informed voter (know how the system works and why), but I didn't much like the class either
I don't remember our exact requirements

That sounds so similar to mine! I don't like Government. Other history classes are sort of fun though. I'm taking Gov. this year for high school credit, but it's done at a college for college credit to. It's kind of hard though. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/6575102/images/RCFqazfvhbMAeE5hIhD3.gif)

we had a choice of taking AP government or citizenship. I wasn't much of an achiever so took citizenship which is basically government but easier. I was actually interested in it, but my teacher... sucked. The year before, I had him for psychology in the mornings and practically every morning he had the o'reilly factor on (lol throwback to when he still worked for fox). He was pretty biased. I remember one time in citizenship very clearly where he showed us a watters world episode where he went around talking to liberals in vermont (because bernie was getting big) and showing us how dumb liberals were. i was like yawn okay.
part of me liked his class cause we never really did anything and we never got homework. i swear there was like only once or twice we ever did homework and only 1 presentation the whole semester

I hated us government. In my class the entire curriculum was like REALLY full of a on of propaganda and whenever i or somebody else brought it up for debate the teacher would shut it down and tell us to save it for after class. They pushed the free country, democracy, capitalist, balance of powers cards really hard and, I guess in the Ideal American Government, it would be that way, but it isn't, and they should have also taught about other government and economic policies and systems.
