( You didn't mess anything up! You just briefly forgot. ouo *Hugs* I can't wait! I also jusst brought in all my orphans, so Cal is going to get a very depressed friend soon. .u. Oh! And Copper was introduced too! The eevee orphan that admires Basil that he and Gage might adopt later? ouo So we could do them, too, if you wanted. .u. So how are you feeling? You don't have to go into any details if you don't want to, but like, are you feeling any better? *Hugs tight* )

Scorch
Riley narrowed her eyes as she pushed herself to keep up with the ninetails. Being a Flaaffy, she wasn't naturally that fast, so she'd had to train hard to be able to reach the speeds she could now in the Ranger Academy. So, while Skylar was definitely going a little faster than Riley was used to, the Flaaffy could just barely keep up with just a tad amount of trouble. She could catch her breath when they got to the house - what mattered right now was that they got to the house in time to put up the wards that Skylar wanted.
( Good night! )
Skylar skidded to a stop in front of her house and spun to face Riley. "Go to the windows and find the latches at the top. Open them and gravity will take care of the rest. Once you've taken care of those, go to the long boxes next to my garden." She pointed at the four boxes, two on each side of her walkway. "Get the tarps out, and I'll take care of the rest. Go!" She turned and ran to the tree. She jumped, pushed off the trunk, and landed lightly on her roof. She raised her arms, her eyes glowing, and a tarp lowered from the branches of the trees, tied up there for support obviously. Once it was low enough, she vanished under it. Each corner was being pulled down though, which probably meant she was tying it down. It was big enough that it draped over the roof to make sure that nothing got under it, and that anything on it could easily slide off.

@ Wild: Pyre gives Moon a look before she darts out of the house and to her car, jumping into the drivers seat. "Yeah, guess she's right." Pyre mutters to himself before stepping out of the house, making sure to close the door behind him before running over to Moon's car and throwing himself into the passenger's seat. "You know how to get to the hospital, right?""Yep! hold this!" She said handing him midnight and taking off toward the hospital slowly her eyers squinted in concentration.

@yammers {*dying of sorrow and otps thought and characters thoughts all at once*} Ivory should have probably dressed heavier, but when was that ever the way with her? What she was wearing right now was fine... Right? She watched as Anubis came running out of his room, a small sympathetic smile pulling upwards at her lips, I can probably guess what he was doing. It didn't matter now, though. As long as he was feeling okay and grabbed whatever he thought was important. Would she ever admit she had a picture of her family tucked into her sweater? No. Probably not even to him. "No need to apologize, let's just get going, okay?” She said to him, opening the door to outside, grimacing at the sight she saw.
Hail still fell heavily from the sky, and she wasn’t even sure when it would stop. She pulled her sweater up tighter over her mouth, and turned her gaze towards her shorter companion, staring at him for a couple seconds, I mean, I guess it’s okay now… Before she knew it, she held out her hand towards him, offering it with a grin, though it was slightly forced, “I rather either of us not get hurt or lost in the storm, k?~” she said, gesturing for him to hurry up so that they could go. She was worried about what was going to happen, though she was determined, determined to stay cheery and confident. For him, and for herself.
@momma Nori found herself surprised by the sight outside, nervously glancing up at the sky as she moved the blanket in the basket to cover the cats more. It was moments like these that she found herself thankful for her Ice Body ability, even though she froze over. When it hailed, like this, though it was rare, she tended to feel… Stronger. Healthier. It made her foot hurt a little bit less. Let herself concentrate a little bit more, “Thank you, Brice. That was very smart of you.” She said quietly, though loud enough so you could hear her over the storm.
She took a couple steps towards the slide and glanced back at the two. If there wasn’t such an urgency to get down, she’d probably wait for the two to join her, but instead she quickly took a seat at the top and sat the basket on her lap, hugging it tightly with one arm before pushing herself off, letting her body slip down the slide as she moved her other arm quickly to cover up the cats. Though, she wasn’t worried or scared as she went down the slide, she just focused on protecting the cats. Besides, why would the primarily ice type be scared of ice?
Soon enough, she reached the bottom of the slide, being able to see the town in the near distance. She set the basket down and struggled to her feet, picking up the basket when she was finally standing and worriedly looking up at the slide behind her. Yes, she had nothing to be afraid of, but nothing could stop the small girl from being worried for those she really cared about.
@groundie ~ Camari ~ At the mention about worrying about her, Camari’s face lit up, but not in happiness. She looked generally curious, cocking her head to the side as if she had forgotten about being upset, “Worried? For me?” she asked, cocking her head to the other side at Marmalade. Then she smiled, nodding happily, “I was worrying for you, too!” It felt really nice to know someone had thought about her, as Camari wasn’t really used to be important to anyone. She turned her gaze to Kazuki when Marmalade told him to speak up, and didn’t seem the least bit bothered that he hadn’t said anything, “That’s alright! I’m just glad to see you’re both safe.” And then her eyes lit up with excitement, seemingly dancing like a flame in her eyes as it scared away the emptiness in her heart, “I’ve been doing a lot of job research lately, I spend almost every day in the library.” She exclaimed, wanting them both to be able to find somewhere to work. She just wanted her friends to be happy, and if that’s what needed to happen to make someone like Kazuki happy, seeing as him and his sister had done more for her than she could ever return, then she would see to it no matter how hard it was that it would be done.
~ Solstice and Lumi ~ Solstice nervously pursed her lips as she watched more people arrive, turning her gaze to her guitar case as she thought for a little. How long will they be here? How many people would be here? Would some people get hurt in the hail? Will… Will we get stuck here in the avalanche? She closed her eyes for a quick moment, trying to calm her nerves, before opening them back up. Fortunately, when she did so, her grey gaze rested on a familiar figure making his way over with an unfamiliar figure by his side, Orville. The shiny dragonair found herself feeling a bit more calm at the sight of her friend, seeing that he was okay. She actually managed a smile, though it was rather weak, though she didn’t smile that much in the first place. However, it wasn’t till the two got close enough, that she actually spoke up, “Hi Orville, I’m glad you’re safe.” She said quietly, moving her guitar a bit so she could see the two better, giving his friend a curious look. Lumi looked up from her drawing that she was doing, giving the two newcomers a glance and then turning back to her work, looking up and around for Alaska, not interested in introducing herself seeing as she wasn’t exactly part of the conversation, though glad that her pink haired companion seemed a little less nervous.

Scorch Riley nodded as she moved to the house, doing as Skylar told her and dropping all the windows that she could get to. She moved quickly, but not too fast, not wanting to mess up anything. Once all the latches were open and that part of her job was done, she raced to the four boxes at the walkway and got all of the tarps out, making sure none of them caught on anything and ripped. She turned just in time to see what Skylar was doing, and couldn't help a small gasp, impressed and awed. Then she shook her head, as if to shake away her distractions, and raced back closer to the house. Noticing that the snowflakes and ice were coming down harder now, she grimaced and brushed herself off, not wanting to get completely soaked - the extra weight would only make her slower, and the cold wouldn't help with that either.

Night The whole ride down, the kittens and Mittens had not tried to get out of the basket once. They could tell that it was much warmer in the basket that they were in than it was outside, and they almost seemed to realize the tension in the situation. They even kept absolutely silent until they could feel Nori come to a stop, then felt the basket they were in being set down so their owner could stand. Only when they were picked back up did they make a noise. The small male tortoiseshell, a tiny, frail little thing, poked his out out and mewled his confusion. Something different now, though, is that one of his eyes were peeled open a little, though not open all the way. Then, just as quickly as he had poked his head out, Mitten's paw reached out and dragged him right back inside to the safety of her tummy.
Not long after Nori had stood up, Brice came down, carrying some of the stuff that Barnabus had grabbed on his way out. When he reached the end and bottom of the ice slide, he stood right up, brushing himself off with a free hand and a grimace. "Barnabus said that he would be down in a minute," he spoke, turning around and letting his blue eyes search up the slide for any sign of their undead friend. "He said he had to grab something before he left-"
Before he could even finish what he was saying, Barnabus's grey form could be seen sliding down the ice, arms bundled up with things. Brice let out a relieved sigh as his friend made it all the way down the slide, and when he reached the end, Brice leaned over to help pull the Bannette up. "What in the world did you have to grab?" Barnabus turned a sheepish look on Nori and Brice as he held out the doll he'd arrived in Shimaka with; the doll that was so important to him. "I c-couldn't leave this behind." Brice couldn't bring himself to scold Barnabus, even though this was a serious situation. "What's done is done," he muttered quietly to himself, then, louder, "Okay, I'll take everything, Barnabus. You help Nori and the cats to the hospital, and I'll be right behind you."

@ Ground: (Thanks for being patient with me. uvu I've been trying to get the flow of creativity back but it is a fickle thing. And thanks for posting a starter, that helps out a ton. ;w; ) Hail was literally the last thing that Count expected this time of year. The day before had shown promise of a warm rest of the week, though a couple clouds had hung overhead when night had fallen. But seriously, hail? Of all things! Count may put up the front that he's tough since he's so young and already evolved, not to mention the whole Kalos League thing, but ice was his weakness. In all meanings of the word. The Noivern stumbles into the hospital, shivering and hunched over as he tries to keep what little heat he had in him. A blanket was offered to him, and he was soon in a room filled with other people. Count grabs himself a cup of the juice that was offered, trying his best to not spill it with his hands shaking so badly. Yellow eyes scan the room, taking in the many faces of the people gathered around. He spots a familiar face, wanting to raise a hand to wave at the older man but finding it hard to do so without dropping his juice. Count decides to wait till the shaking stops a little, then try again.

@ Tiny: (I can't believe you made an evolution pun omg. *covers face*) Rai nods his head a little. Maybe Heather was right, maybe his things would be just fine when this was all over. Shoot, maybe the avalanche wouldn't even happen! As Rai opens his mouth to share his thoughts on the storm, Aspen speaks and grabs the Jolteon's attention. He was a bit surprised by what the Leavanny had said. "Y-you don't really think a Legendary would do this, do you?" He asks. From what Rai had read about, there weren't many Legendaries that were Ice type. Not to mention that if any of them were causing a storm then it was never a good sign.

Sheep Fam
Once Riley had left to go with Skylar, it hadn't taken Allene long to get her remaining five children to the hospital. Now, in the corner of the hospital, Allene made sure that all of her kids were dry and warm, buzzing from one kid to the next, despite their quiet complaints.
The kids, for the most part, didn't seem too worried. Not the youngest, anyway. Mahina's nose, as usual, was buried in a book, and she seemed perfectly content to drown out the outside world and find comfort in whatever fictional world she was reading about. Arine had volunteered to help spread out blankets and anything else the hospital could offer to everyone, moving about the hospital with a bright, reassuring smile and a fiery determination to help. And Cal?
Well, once the new orphans had come in, he had started watching them curiously. It was interesting, seeing all these new faces in town, and he'd always liked people-watching. At one point a Cyndaquil that seemed about his age had caught him staring, and instead of returning the smile that Cal had flashed at him, he sent dark, annoyed glare. Cal ducked his head awkwardly and looked away.
Roland and Soren were quiet, each watching everyone start to file in to the hospital. "Will everyone be able to fit in here?" Roland muttered. Soren didn't even look his way. "It'll be crowded, but they will."

Gage and Amari
Seriously? A possiblity of an avalanche? Just his luck. When the sirens had went off, Gage had been in the shower, enjoying the feeling of the warm water running over his skin and taking away his worries. He had just started to rinse the cream rinse out of his hair when he heard the warning given to the city. Now stiff as a statue, the Giratina weighed out his options. Stay here in the hotel, and possibly get stuck in an avalanche, or go to a crowded hospital of people where it would be just too easy for someone to accidentally bump into him and knock his hood down. Neither choice was exactly favorable for the legendary. With a groan, however, Gage finally got out of the shower, towel-dried off, and put on his regular clothing and his thick, long, cloak-coat. His hair was still damp, and stuck to his face in thick golden clumps where he hadn't pulled it back, and he grimaced. It was bound to be really cold outside, and being a dragon-type, he didn't do good in the cold. Grabbing a rubber band that had come with a menu he'd been given, he pulled his hair back and out of his face, mostly so there'd be less of a chance of his face getting cold, but also just in case someone managed to see his hair. What else? He grabbed everything out of the hotel room he thought he might need; the two pillows, the sheets and blanket, anything else that was important to him. Then he took a deep breath, threw up his hood so that it covered most of his face and hair, and made his way downstairs. He checked to make sure that Ty would be okay, guessing the hotel owner would probably be helping the remaining residents out, before stepping out the front doors. Then he realized he pretty much had no idea how to get to the hospital. He must have looked pretty lost, because before he knew it, someone was beside him and asking if he needed help. Turning, the Giratina met the eyes of an Aerodactyl who couldn't have been any older than twenty, but. . . what gender were they? It didn't particularly matter to Gage what they identified as, but as he looked the ancient Pokemon over, he couldn't figure out what pronoun to use. "Ah. . . umm. . . I d-don't know where the ho-hospital is?" The Aerodactyl smiled and patted the Giratina's arm, making the ghost-dragon type jump a bit. If the Aerodactl noticed, they didn't let on. "My name is Amari, though I go by Ari. Don't worry about getting to the hospital; I'll take you there. I'm on my way there myself." "T-thank you. . ." Gage murmured, looking down at his hands. "Ah. . . e-erm." Ari smiled a little as they took Gage's hands apart, for Gage had started to twist his fingers together nervously. They then firmly took Gage's right hand in their own and led him off to the medical institution. "What's your name, kid?" Gage looked down at their hands, then back at Ari. "G-Gage. T-thank you f-for he-helping me." "It's no problem. Are those blankets and pillows from the hotel?" Gage's ears burned. "I th-thought someone w-would be able t-to use them." "Good thinking. Some of the younger kids will definitely be needing some, especially if we spend the night." Gage nodded, and for a little while, they walked in silence, which was fine by Gage, but at the same time, their conversation had been the only thing distracting him from the falling snow and ice until now. Feeling the cold pierce even through his clothes, he was chilled to the bone, and felt his limbs start to get sore and heavy. Before he knew it, his eyes were just as heavy and half-lidded, and his teeth were making clattering noises as they chattered together. Ari looked back at him. "Not good in the cold, are you?" Gage swallowed. "I'm j-just d-da-da-da-dandy," he managed to get out. Ari rolled their eyes. "Well, we're here, so you can get inside and get warm." Gage blinked and tilted his head back to look up at the building. Ari was right - Gage had been so distracted he hadn't even noticed they'd gotten to their destination. "O-oh! T-tt-thhank you." Ari frowned. "Get inside and warm up before you turn into an icicle, honey." Gage didn't need to be told twice as he shuffled his way into the hospital. Ari followed him in, turning their head slowly from one side to the other, scanning the crowd, then sighed and glanced at Gage. "Follow me," they said. "Let's get you some hot chocolate. If they're not out by now, there should be some packets over in the snack room." Gage couldn't help but smile at the helpful Aerodactyl, though it was a strange one, since his teeth still chattered. "Yo-you're too k-ki-kind."

I doubt an arcticuno would do something like this since it tends to save people from blizzards, but if I had to guess, it would probably be a kyurem. Still, the group of ice types theory isn't debunked yet..." Aspen suddenly sat up and smiled. "O-oh, sorry about that. Just was rambling a bit, that's all," he said with a laugh, although his laughter sounded slightly forced. Heather gave the leavanny a worried glance before turning her attention back to the jolteon. "Well, in any case, this should be over eventually. After all, a summer hailstorm shouldn't last too long," she reasoned in an attempt to stay positive... and comfort her uncle, of course.
