not in like a furry romantic way bc thats gross but like as in you want the best for this dog and can just imagine owning this dog, taking them to the park, playing with them, having them curl up next to you, etc. bc I love this dog up at five acres right now like she's so amazing - her name is Savannah and she's sweet, and playful and energetic and so much like my old dog Zoe that I can't help but love her, and I would love to adopt her but I'll be moving out in less than a year so it wouldn't be fair, plus if I got her now I dont trust my dad to own another pet given what happened with Zoe... I just am super super attached to Savannah and can't imagine her going somewhere I can't see her anymore... god what do I do?

Tbh from what I've heard it's possible
Look at the Youtuber bluekyokitty. He had a dog (who has since passed) that he considered his soulmate. He still wears her dog tag as part of a necklace every day. It wasn't like a romantic/sexual interest, it was just pure and adorable and I'm glad they had each other for the time they did.
I don't think I've felt this way about my own dog before, but that's possibly just because she's more my parents' dog and I haven't really had that full responsibility/experience of raising and training one on my own yet.
