I never really used my phone during school, but only because I was never really able to do much from the internet. Have you ever used your phone during school? And if you did, what for?

Quite a few times, usually for working if wifi is down (or my school computer isn't charged) or for killing time when I can

All the time. Also my laptop, because profs really don't care

all the time tbh. I typically use it to come on here (I'm actually in school using it now lolll) And to text my boyfriend tbh. Other than that, I use the calculated in math. My teachers claim to be strict about it, but the policy sucks. And I do it anyways.

Yes, they let us as long as we're off them while the teacher is talking and usually we're allowed to listen to music if we're working on assignments.

i used my phone a lot during hs. i always had the kinds of teachers who were cool w us listening to music if we were actively working on something. i'd fool around on my phone during tutorial (kind of a 30 min study hall-ish thing we had 3x a week).
i'm in college now so i don't in class but like. i have it on me p much all the time and i'm on it before class begins while i wait for the prof usually since i tend to be early

I'm not in school anymore, but nope. My school had a strict no phones rule. If you got caught with your phone on you, even if you weren't using it, they would take it away from you and you'd have to pay a fine to get it back. Everytime you were caught with your phone the fee would go up. They also had strict wifi with tons of blocks on it, so you couldn't use the internet from your phone anyways. The computer labs were the only places with computer access.
My phone is a flip phone anyways so I couldn't have used it even if they allowed it anyways.

in high school, yeah. especially in my senior year, because most of my teachers didn't care if we used our phones as long as we weren't being distracting. i'd use mine after finishing assignments or while the teacher was going over something i'd already mastered.
in college my professors didn't care at all, though i tended to use my laptop more than my phone for browsing the web in class. i also used to sit in the back of the auditorium and play the sims 2 in art history while somewhat paying attention lol.

Yeah cause all my teachers are professors and their philosophy is "if you don't pay attention don't expect to pass my exams". So they don't care tbh. As long as it doesn't go off. If it goes off they'll snap your phone. No joke, seen it happen.

How much did that fine cost?

I'd use it during class so long as we're not going through something important. And if it's not against what the teacher has as a rule for their class. ie) no cellphone use while they're talking, ect.

In high school, yes, but usually between going to or before classes or whenever the teacher said it was okay, since there would be times where the class just wouldn't be doing anything at all.

How much did that fine cost? The first time you were caught, they would charge $15. And then every time after that it would go up like 5 dollars. So the second time you were caught it would be $20, third $25, and so on.

It depends on the class/teacher. In some cases in high school we could use them, like to use the calculator or look something up, or occasionally listen to music while working on something. I'm at community college now but when I was at a university in big classes (like 100-200 people) many people used them and most of the time the teachers didn't notice.
