Honeycloud raced out of the nursery and over to Frostfeather. "Frostfeather, Puddlestep's kits are coming!" She gasped, racing back to the nursery.
Rosekit peeked into Puddlestep's nest, wondering if she could help.
Frostfeather went to her den and grabbed some herbs before pushing her way into the nursery. "Don't worry, Puddlestep, you'll be fine," she meowed.

Frostfeather rested her paws gently on Puddlestep's belly. "It won't be long now," she meowed.
Rosekit looked up at Frostfeather. "Can I help?" She squeaked.
Honeycloud pulled Rosekit back. "Give them room, Rosekit. Stay out of the way."
Frostfeather looked at Honeycloud, then at Rosekit. "Rosekit, if you could go and find me a nice strong stick somewhere in camp, that would be wonderful," she meowed.
"Okay!" Rosekit squeaked, racing out of the nursery.

Swiftstorm paced anxiously outside of the nursery, his eyes wide everytime Puddlestep gave a pained yowl. He hated to hear her in pain.

Frostfeather purred and nudged the kits gently toward Puddlestep's belly. "Congratulations. Two toms and a she-cat," she meowed. She poked her head out of the nursery. "Swiftstorm, you have two sons and a daughter," she purred to the tom, before turning to Puddlestep. She sorted out a few borage leaves and placed them in front of the queen. "Eat these," she meowed. "They will help your milk come."

Swiftstorm's eyes widened in shock, before he quickly thanked the medicine cat and rushed into the nursery. Gazing upon his mate and kits, he trembled a bit, but stumbled forwards.

Swiftstorm approached and looked at the kits with wonder.
"P-puddlestep, they're...they're beautiful." The quiet tom mewed, settling down next to her and purring with a little tremble.
"We...we can name the white she-kit with the silver markings...we can name her Frozenkit."

Honeycloud nipped Tinykit's tail gently and pulled her back. "No, dear. Puddlestep's kits are too small to go exploring yet. They won't even open their eyes for another few days."
Tinykit's tail drooped. "What if I wake them up? They're barely smaller than me!"
"Don't you dare!" Honeycloud snapped, a little harsher than she intended. She gave her a lick on the head. "They're too young," she meowed. "And Puddlestep wouldn't appreciate you waking them up."
