{ f a w n s p o t s } being a young warrior was definitely exciting. the thrill of getting your first catch as a newly appointed soldier felt amazing. a full member of whisperclan, finally. that was a few moons ago, however, and now fawnspots had grown into her role as a runner. she loved racing around, delivering messages. her long legs provided her quick transport. however, one day she'd been stopped by the lieutenant of whisperclan, being told she was being put on a patrol with nettleheart. fawnspots knew that the young soldier became a full ranking member around the same time she had. they were both soldiers and each had a rank. nettleheart was a combatant. fawnspots often admired the daring she at from afar, having not gotten the courage to talk. as she padded to the camp enterance, she stopped and looked around. this was where she was supposed to meet the dark tabby molly. "where is she..?" she wondered aloud, sitting down and wrapping her fluffy plume around her dainty paws. coding & icon image by officialrainleafwcf

n e t t l e h e a r t Oaksplash, WhisperClan's lieutenant, had come up to her the other day to talk. It wasn't like she had anything else to do- he was authority, after all, and her brother had left to go visit the medic for a foot sprain. She had listened without complaint, despite her annoyance at getting held up from getting some prey- and now she had to guard a runner? Because FaithClan was being all problematic? That wasn't her thing to deal with. She wanted to fight like her parents wanted, she wished that she could be on the border instead of accompanying the molly that had become a soldier close to her around. Ugh. This would be annoying, wouldn't it?
With practiced patience, she had accepted the order (not like she had a choice) and gone to get prey, resigned to accompanying Fawnspots later.
Now, she was looking around to find her- and oh, there she was. Nettleheart had been a bit late. "Hello," she said politely, walking up next to the light molly. She was a slim thing, pretty and obviously made for running, while the dark tabby was built for fighting and clawing at their enemies. Fawnspots would have to slow down somewhat for her, since she didn't have nearly enough running speed to keep up. "Shall we go?"
She had to keep her distance. Nettleheart had a habit of being sarcastic and rude, not courteous at all, and that would not do. As they walked out, she glanced over at her companion. "Where will we head off to today? Any daylight soldier recruiting, like our general was talking about the other day?"Coding by 5 ❙ AM, pictures by me

{ f a w n s p o t s } fawnspots could sense the immediate difference as the she-cat came closer- the strained polite answers. she really didn't want nettleheart to be uncomfortable with her at all, she just wanted a nice relaxing trip to the kittypet housing. she always wondered what it was like to live there, but she couldn't commit. "we are, in fact. two house cats seemed to have been interested in clan life, so monarchstar asked me to maybe recruit them!" fawnspots was usually a peppy cat, she was always saying something pretty cheerful- wanting to look on the bright side of things. standing up, she padded out of the camp, her tail waving. "daylight soldiers have always been a mystery to me- living a double life seems a bit extra. but i guess having one paw in your home life and one paw in Clan life doesn't sound so bad. i certainly wouldn't try it though,"" fawnspots chirped, alright in her jogging stage. they had a bit of ways to go if they wanted to reach the homes. her long legs reached out with every step. however, when she glanced back, she noticed nettleheart falling a bit behind. at that moment, fawnspots almost wished she was alone- she could at least pace herself with a good speed. slowing down quickly, the light freckled molly fell into step next to the combatant. "what are your thoughts on the daylight soldiers?" coding by officialrainleafwcf

n e t t l e h e a r t Nettleheart's polite smile quickly changed into a slight frown when she mentioned that they would be visiting the Twolegplace. It certainly wasn't her favorite place- the cats there were weak, and normally she wouldn't be within many foxlengths of that vile place. Daylight soldiers, more like worthless cats who stole our prey for meals.
She sighed softly, but said nothing for a moment to let the runner talk. The way she slowed down to let her keep up was kind, but it didn't improve her first real impression of the molly much. "I...dislike the daylight soldiers, to say the least," she said simply. "We need our prey more than they do, and they take it from us. They have easy meals at their homes."
Nettleheart fell silent as they kept a decent pace, the Twolegplace in the distance coming closer with every pawstep. She took the time to look her companion over- not out of breath at all even as Nettleheart began to tire, lean and beautiful and annoying. Why did she have to be with her, anyways? It wasn't like they were close to the border, and she doubted that FaithClan was recruiting daylight soldiers like they were.
"This better not be a waste of time," she muttered under her breath as they approached the Twolegplace and slipped in, following Fawnspots- she knew where the two they needed to talk to were, and Nettleheart had only been here for a quick look as an apprentice. Nettleheart had no need to go there now, after all- besides as a guard for this molly.

{ f a w n s p o t s } the lean runner carefully listened to what nettleheart had to say about the daylight soldiers. she did have a point, but they did need the power. what if faithclan were to attack? what would they make of that? the daylight soldiers would be trained under their care, trained to become full whisperclan members. "i guess, but i understand their curiosity. prey is plentiful right now anyways. during the winter, some daylight soldiers just stay home." when they entered the twoleg place, she slipped through the gate and leaped up onto the fence. "nutmeg and mayo- they've been curious about joining. i believe they're together, maybe even mates. im not one hundred percent sure."" the freckles molly' whiskers twitched a bit at that, her dainty paws keeping her up on the fence. she glanced back at nettleheart and waved her tail. "we're almost there, i promise"her eyes sparked a bit with curiosity, quickly scanning over the combatant. when she turned away, she studied that little mental image she got. tough, strong. just a few words to describe the girl who was following her. and pretty. padding along, she finally recognized the house where nutmeg lived with mayo. she leaped down onto the soft and short grass, sitting down. "nutmeg! mayo! you in there?"

n e t t l e h e a r t StarClan, she hated daylight soldiers. Curious and never wanting the hardest part of Clan life, never wanting to actually get into the thick of it. She snarled just a bit as Fawnspots talked, chatting about the two that they would meet. Mates? They'd best be off staying there so one of them didn't get hurt. Ugh.
"Well, then," she murmured. "They'd best be denying our offer, then." As they walked up, her eyes rested on a tail barely in their view. That's one of them.
She sighed and sat down behind Fawnspots. She was just there for muscle.
The head of a calico cat poked around the corner, wary and alert. "Are you Fawnspots?" After a moment, she looked over at Nettleheart. "Who are you?" Her voice was harsh, untrusting unlike many of the cats the molly had seen. It got on her nerves just as much as it annoyed her.
"I'm Nettleheart," she grumbled, looking away. "Whatever. Fawnspots is here to talk with you two."
"Nutmeg?" The calico looked back into the place she just was. "Those people you really want us to join are here. Stop letting your boy pet you." This must be Mayo, then, her mind whispered. Hm.
