oh boy. placed save here that i'll edit later? kinda nervous about joining already developed clans but i've had my eyes on aether since i joined wcrpf! the redone layout looks beautiful. i just want to give the front page a more thorough read before Submitting My Cats™.♀ - - { Sootfoot } -- { Warrior } - - With her fur being a base color of dark gray, she blends in pretty well with the cave. Her fur has specks of gray littered across her body, that concentrate into clouds of solid color as they near her back, tail, and ear tips. Her front paws, as well, are a solid black. Sootfoot's back paws, in contrast, are white. Her chest has a somewhat diamond-shaped patch of white fur that goes down to her mid belly. Her eyes are a dull, light green color, but appear to be piercing due to her pelt being a dark color. She has an old scar; deep claw marks on both her upper hind legs. She also has a nick in her right ear, and a small cut below her right eye. Speaking of her right eye -- although she isn't blind in it, her vision isn't as sharp as it once was, despite being a relatively young warrior. Her paw pads and nose are a dark gray, albeit lighter than that of her fur. She is fond of the rain and the snow, not so much for the inconveniences they cause, but the sound and scenery they create. Sootfoot prefers the nighttime much more than the day, for the chilliness and the darkness. She is very curt in her speech, and dislikes having to elaborate. In general, she is more cold and prefers solitude. But still, she does like having friends, just definitely not being in a crowd. She makes it a point to be precise, and subsequently hates people who are fickle. Even though she may seem cold, it's just because she puts her Clan above everything -- above herself, and especially above anyone else. She's very loyal, and usually the first to offer to tag along in a patrol. In battle, she isn't very quick, but she puts up a fight. She's quick-tempered and doesn't forgive very easily, but she's a fine asset due to her skills in strategizing and her undying loyalty. - - { Roleplayed by jer bear ! ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ } - -♂ - - { Larkwing } -- { Warrior } - - Larkwing's base pelt color is a very light brown, littered with stripes of both dark and medium brown along his legs and back. His underbelly is an off-white, with a line of pale yellow-ish fur across his neckline. His eyes are a solid dark brown, looking a little bit lighter when hitting the light. His nose and paw pads are a pinkish peach color. Larkwing's fur is medium length, but his fur fluffs up more on his chest and his tail. He has one scar of medium length on his left shoulder. His build overall is very lithe and thin, outwardly. His legs are skinny, but they have more muscle distribution than the rest of his body. He isn't much of a fighter, and has mostly built his muscle up by running. He's certainly quick, making him an effective hunter. He has a bit of a curious mind, which means that he loves to learn. He'd never pass up the opportunity to listen in on gossip and stories from the queens and elders, certainly. He also finds himself happy to explore, often preferring the scenic route. He's sociable and loves to help, but greatly fears being isolated for too long. Generally, he's pretty shy, but he loves social interaction and would rather be by the side of any of his friends than alone in any situation. He's a known overthinker, and can never lay down his ideas boldly. He's also a bit of a coward, meaning the one thing you can't trust him to do is stand up and protect himself. He'll certainly protect anyone else in his beloved Clan faster than an eagle's swoop. Despite surrounding himself with social situations, he can be a bit awkward at times, just wanting to help but not really knowing the right things to say. Don't let him catch wind of any prophecy, either, because he'll probably assume the more pessimistic future upon hearing it. In the end, his loyalty and trustworthiness will outshine his fears and anxieties. He may not be the most hopeful, but he can be helpful with his keen observations paired with his listening attitude. ♀ - - { Crystalshine } -- { Warrior } - - A silky furred light silver she-cat with faint, almost invisible, white tabby markings on her flank, legs and tail. Equipped with large, grey-blue eyes, a white muzzle and right paw. She is observant, gentle in nature, and skittish, often preferring to watch fights from afar rather than participating herself. She doesn't speak much, but when she does, her comments are insightful due to her observant nature. She considers her hearing, and ability to be aware of her surroundings to be her most useful warrior traits, since she isn't much of a fighter. Sibling to Jaydapple, half-sibling to Silverstar, daughter of Mistystorm and Crystal. ♂ - - { Jaydapple } -- { Warrior} - - A sturdy built blue-grey tom with thick fur complimented by a set of bright lavender eyes. He has dapples of white on his chest, and lighter white markings along his spine, reaching all the way to his tail tip. His paws and muzzle are also a snowy white. Prideful, playful, and stubborn to the core, this tom won't take no for an answer. He does not take any form of rejection well, and though he seemingly shines with confidence, the layer between his outward confident nature and his inner self-doubt is thin and easily broken. He uses play and thrill-seeking activities to detract himself from situations he can not handle, which is often whenever he or another cat becomes too emotional. Addressing feelings is not his strong suite. Sibling to Crystalshine, half-sibling to Silverstar, son of Mistystorm and Crystal. WIP - - { Roleplayed by <-•Ryse•-> } - - ♀ - - { Basilleaf } -- { Warrior } - - A dusty brown, orange and black tortoseshell she-cat with a white muzzle, tail tip, and left front paw, accompanied by deep green eyes. She is self-concious, preferring to keep details about herself out of conversation and often doubting her own ability as a warrior. Due to this, she keeps to herself and is often labeled as a quiet she-cat, though she does enjoy socializing with others, and wishes more cats wanted to speak to her. She is sympathic towards others, and quite respectful of cats older than herself or in higher ranks within the clan. Within her daily life, she is rather anxious and high strung, and is susceptible to depressive episodes without warning or particular reason. - - { Roleplayed by <-•Ryse•-> } - - ♂ - - { Coyotefur } -- { Warrior} - - A lanky light dusty brown tom with mustard yellow eyes and short-length fur that somehow always appears to be scruffy and messy. Although he trained as a warrior, it has never suited his preferred life style, as he is rather rotten at fighting and is hardly more skilled at hunting than a new apprentice. He deeply wishes he had been able to train as a Medicine Cat due to his fascination with the science of medicine, the herbs and their effects on cats. However, he does not believe in StarClan and therefore was never allowed to follow the path of a Medicine Cat due to being open about his disbelief in the warrior ancestors. The Medicine Cats of the clan often find him snooping about their den, and sometimes discover that their herb supplies have been re-stocked without their knowledge. Coyotefur is logical in his thinking, only believing things that have solid, tangible evidence backing them up, and is considered down to earth. He carries a deep seated feeling of being lost, unsure of his own identity or true place in the clan, he feels like an outcast. Sibling to Fernfeather. - - { Roleplayed by <-•Ryse•-> } - - ♀ - - { Fernfeather } -- { Warrior } - - A light brown she-cat with medium length fur and faint darker brown markings on her legs, tail and face, and bright, clear yellow eyes, resembling pools of sunlight. She is overtly friendly towards others and always cheerful, which sometimes can cause trouble due to her kindness having no bounds. As an apprentice, she was caught several times bringing prey to hungry loners just outside of Aetherclan territory, though she has learned her lesson since being made a warrior. At least, that’s what the clan hopes... She does not talk about herself, and becomes defensive and will change the subject when questioned about herself. Speaking about herself has always seemed to be a selfish action to her, specifically because of her narrasistic mother and the influence observing her had on Fernfeather. She prefers to blend in, has little interest in standing out within the clan, and wants to follow the pack. Quite unlike her brother, Coyotefur. - - { Roleplayed by <-•Ryse•-> } - - ♀ - - { Snowdrop } -- { Warrior } - - A primarily black she-cat with a large white splotch on the middle of her spine that fans out down her flanks, leaving her sides dusted with white speaks. She has light blue eyes with green flecks surrounding her pupils, and has thick fur accompanied by a long-furred, plumy tail. She is opinionated, and this fact is not lost upon any cat she speaks with. She states her opinions bluntly, without consideration of who is around her, and attempting to alter something she already has made up her mind about is quite impossible. Part of this steadfast attitude comes from her distrustful nature. She automatically distrusts others, even those from her own clan, and assumes that others view the world through the same distrustful lense. This makes getting close to her rather difficult, and only patient cats could succeed at being her friend. She uses flirtation often as a way to feel out other cats intentions, and it is the main way she has fun and relaxes. - - { Roleplayed by <-•Ryse•-> } - - ]

Also we were recently discussing having a rouge group begin to start to pester/fight with the clan, so if you wanted you could create rouges to join that group! |

TADA!! Idk if I want to commit more chars to the rogue group yet (probably tbh) atm but here is Muddy, Cardinal, and Dankspeck's father. Also, you guys can't revenge-reject me because I ACCEPT MYSELF and that's all that matters >:{ (jk though Ryse, let me know if you have any suggestions or whatnot - I wasn't sure if you would want me to send him to you first for approval or anything) At first I didn't have any solid ideas, then I just decided to go Wuthering Heights mode tbh ♂ - - { Swift } -- { Rogue } - -
Swift is a thin, lanky tom with sepia brown fur, darker tabby stripes, and pale green eyes. He has long legs and his front left paw is dipped in white. Once an AetherClan warrior known as Swiftfoot, named in honor of his lightning-fast reflexes and his unbeatable speed in running, the tom abandoned this moniker in favor of a loner name after abandoning his clan, finding that it instead reminded him of how he was always quick to run from his problems. As a younger tom, he was often moody and malcontent, snapping at others and constantly feeling that he was never good enough - for who and for what, he didn't know, but the feeling of inferiority was hard to squander his entire life. He only found happiness with his mate, who was always there to support him even during his bad days, and with her he became a loyal, heroic warrior. Unfortunately, she died while kitting Darkspeck, Cardinalsong, and Muddywater. After her death, Swift became even more closed off from others than ever before, ignoring his newborn kits and seeing straight past them when he visited the nursery. And then, he started to see his dead mate everywhere. It wasn't that she was visiting from StarClan, but Swiftfoot saw her anyway: the pale amber eyes of his kits - the exact same as their mother -, a breeze carrying the scent of flowers that smelled just like her, the warrior's area where they had so often shared tongues... and it drove him insane. Unable to take it anymore, he ran away, a decision his two sons would never forgive him for. He ran until he was far from AetherClan's territory because, at the time, the wounds were too fresh; perhaps he was a coward in doing so, but everywhere he went in the territory he saw memorabilia, evidence that she had existed and that he had failed her. And once he stopped running, he turned around, slowly making his way back to the place he grew up in, until he met up with the rogue group he resides in today. Nowadays, he is terse and quiet; clearly, he is still troubled by something.

HEY IT'S WHAT I DO BEST ! anyway i suppose it might be good to submit Aqua's mommy now... ♀ - - { Mei } -- { Rogue } - - A pretty silver-blue she-cat with sleek and well groomed fur. Her build is quite strong and muscled but more often than not her thick fluffy fur hides this fact. A nice surprise for anyone that gets the gracious opportunity to fight her. Mei has soft golden eyes save for the small flecks of hazel in her left one. Although she might not look very intense, her eyes always carry a steady sharpness to them, as if she's always watching everything that's going on. Cunning, sly and battle-hungry. A smart head rests on her shoulders and she is absolutely not trustworthy at all! She enjoys seeing others grovel at her paws. As a young kit she was soft-hearted and kind. But one incident broke her to her very core and since then she hasn't been the same. Mother to Aqua. [oh I haven't made a starting character in years, so I'm just going to go with a revamped favorite of mine! please tell me if there's a problem with this, I'm happy to change it if necessary to fit with the canon~]
Ø - - { Runningstep } -- { Warrior } - - Golden eyes darted nervously around the forest's edge. They had been able to escape notice from the patrols for two days, but luck and cunning can only get you so far, and after that close call with a fox kit a while ago finally steeled their nerves enough to seek out the clan cats. It's time. Runningstep is an Abyssinian with yellow eyes and an above average knowledge of the warrior code for a former loner. They like the strict codes of honor and the mysticism of the rituals and so would give their life to protect them both. This sometimes causes a problem, as this jumpiness more often starts fights rather than ends them. In battle, Runningstep favors fast blows and jumping due to their lithe, almost streamlined body not taking heavy hits well. Overall, they're just eager to please and ready at any moment to help. - - {Roleplayed by runningstep (what a shocker)} - - |

runningstep they look fine. just make sure to add their pelt color as Abyssinians can have a bit of variation in their appearance. Once that's fixed you're golden.

♀ - - { Fawnlight } -- { Warrior } - - Fawnlight is a very stunning cream she-cat. She has brown torbie spots covering her legs and tail. Her face and right ear also sport the same markings. Her eyes are a sky blue with flecks of silver. Her paws and tail tip are the same cream as the rest of her fur. Her nose is bright pink in color. This she-cat has shorter fur with a long lithe body that she received from her Abyssinian heritage. Fawnlight is a very gentle and delicate she-cat that often lets her caring nature get the best of her. She is very loyal and dutiful to her clan, putting others before herself. The torbie is extroverted and a bit of a fast talker. She isn’t the quietest of the clan, but where she lacks in the ability of stealth is only gained by her quick wit and fast feet. Fawnlight is an excellent runner and could almost easily outrun most of the warriors. Her speed is however short-lived, seeing that she doesn’t have the stamina for it. - - { Roleplayed by calliopemarie } - - [ ✣ ] { Male Form } ♂ - - { Brokensmoke } -- { Warrior } - - Brokensmoke is a close descendant of a Maine Coon with a black smoke and white combination on his coat. He has white paws and a white chest along with a scar on his hind right leg from a fox fight he had when he was an apprentice. He is very large for a cat due to his Maine Coon heritage. He has bright fern green eyes. Brokensmoke considers himself a charmer. He is a very laid back tom with a cunning personality. Though he's a charmer, there's only one she-cat that has captivated his heart from long ago. He thinks of her often, but hopes when the time is right , he can move on. He is often very goofy and loves to make jokes and entertain others. A pretty decent tom really. Brokensmoke is an excellent hunter and warrior. Because of his big body, he is not as agile as many of the other cats. He is hardly afraid of anything and absolutely loves the water. He loves to hunt and help train other apprentices, often trying to teach them how to hunt and swim in the river.
