So a lot of drama happened at my job ( Petco) and the companion animal leader was fired, leaving me to step into the position. Now I have been at my work for 6 months now, so I have some experience but I'm still very new to it.
I have so much stuff to catch up on that the old CAL was not doing because he was lazy. Like for example, some of the reptiles such as the chameleons haven't been cleaned in 5 MONTHS. He was told over and over to clean it, and he would clean the same few reptiles repeatedly but not the ones that actually needed done. All the reptiles are supposed to be cleaned weekly or once every two weeks, but oh my God that is just excessive.

I hate coworkers like that. who just don't do their job. and then like they complain about things sucking. I worked as a cashier at this place and for me, the job was fantastic, my supervisors were amazing, and I loved it. I did my best. I got the money I needed. but all the time this kid would complain and whine about how he wasn't getting paid enough and he had this sucky attitude and he did a terrible job.
and I'm like. hey. if you don't want to be here, don't be here. you'll get fired anyway. and if you're not making enough money, then find a way to make more, but you're not going to get anywhere by acting like everything is just a mudhole

That's actually horrible and I'm sorry. My coworkers can be lazy but thankfully they don't act like this. Bless. I hope things at work will look up for you soon. 🙏
