Be honest. Would you keep it, or try to find the owner of the money? There's so many "Social Experiments" about this subject and I see people taking the money, knowing that they belonged to the owner and then lying about it, saying they never saw any money. It's really sad how much our generation has changed. I'd personally feel uncomfortable if I picked a $100 from the ground.

well it depends. if you find something like dollar bills on the ground its gonna be really hard to find the owner.
if its in a suitcase or something it might be easier.
personally, i think all generations would do this.

It depends. If I saw who dropped it, or if I was in an area where I could easily find who dropped it (like in a store or something) I would try to return it if possible.
Otherwise I'd probably keep it

Depends on how easy it is to figure out whose money it was

I once found 2 wallets about a week apart and returned both to the owners in the exact condition I found them.
The drunk that peed himself then passed out on the hood of my car that dropped a $20 next to my front tire...yeah, I kept that.

If it was jut loose cash (not in a wallet or anything), I would take it. However if I DID see who dropped it I would give it back, but I'm not about to run around town to return the money.
But if I found a dropped wallet, however, it would be returned in it's original condition.

If I don't know who's it is, like its just laying there, I'd keep it. If someone asked if I'd seen money laying on the ground I'd be honest and return it. Never know if it's critical for them, and if it was originally theirs anyway it's not like you lost anything.

okay I would say "depends" but the last time I saw a $20 on the ground I internally panicked and walked away

If it were more than about £2, if I were in a shop I'd hand it in to customer services or something if I couldn't immediately see who'd lost it.

depends on the context and how much if it's a loose bill it's gonna be really hard to find the owner. i mean you can't just ask who lost a loose bill. there's no identifying info on it. it could honestly be anyone's. so i'd probably pocket it if i saw the person drop it ofc i'd give it back if it's a wallet or has some sort of identifying info on it i'd give it back how i found it because i could actually find the owner and ppl at least in my experience tend to know roughly how much they have in their wallet. also i'd feel Bad if i took anything

if its easy to track the owner back to the money, i'll return it. if theres a very very low probability of finding the person who actually owns the money, whelp, i guess its mine now

Yeah, small money is understandable. I'm talking about like the big bucks, like $100. No one would care if they dropped a 1 dollar bill.

I'd keep it in pretty much every situation.

I've found dropped credit cards and returned them, because if a little kid or knowing teenager picks it up it'd be really really bad for whoever it belongs to. I'd do the same for a bill if I saw or knew who dropped it.
Otherwise, if nobody comes by or asks about it, I'd probably keep it.

only if i had some idea of whose it was. otherwise it'd be nigh on impossible to find out who really owned it. so i'd just keep it.

i'd take it if it was just on the floor, and it wasn't in anything and i didn't see anyone drop it.
if it was in something, like a suitcase or something i'd probably just leave it alone not gonna lie if i see someone drop it, i'd try to give it back to them

If I saw it actually fall out of someone, then yeah I'll return it. If I just find random money on the floor though then I'm keeping it.

if I see who dropped it, i'll give it back, but if I can't find the person, then I'm keeping it and giving it to my dad or something

loose money with no identifying information and i didn't see anyone drop it? i'd pocket it.
if i saw someone drop the money i'd run after them and give it to them, and if they managed to lose their wallet or a card i'd definitely either give it to them or turn it into the store or wherever they lost it at.

When it comes to coins, pennies nickels, dimes, quarters (even a golden dollar once) I keep it without a second thought because its just a bit of spare change. But I will admit to finding and keeping 10$ bill once that was on the floor of the hallway after school ended and it seemed to have been left. I didnt think too much of it, because it afforded me to actually have and eat a lunch for once instead of skipping it the following day.
Any larger amount or money in a wallet and I'd probably try turning it in and finding the owner.

aye, so I would leave it. like I literally just don't touch money I see.
but umm..."It's really sad how much our generation has changed." might want to rethink this sentence
