I've lived in Canada all my life
Only ever saw one moose, and it was in the USA???
It was a baby, so it wasn't as scary, and I only saw it from a distance. But close up they are BIIIIIIGGGGG. Like if you're in a 20-foot radius you should prob run

are moose not A Thing in america There are moose in America, but only in a few places. There are no moose in the majority of the US. idk how accurate this is, but this is supposedly where they live

I used to have a Canadian friend and he would always tell me how terrifying moose were and I didn't believe him until I saw a picture of an adult moose.

I'm an uninvited American here to ruin your day. my grandmother had a weird thing for mooses, so I never saw them as terrifying. Still unable to see how they're scary.

my mom and my aunt saw 3 moose in the mountains in Colorado.
And one of my favorite lines in the musical Come From Away: "yah. Dat's a moose."

I'm an uninvited American here to ruin your day. my grandmother had a weird thing for mooses, so I never saw them as terrifying. Still unable to see how they're scary. I guess it's because they're so big? There are no moose here so I don't know anything about them, but I read a lot of stories online about people talking about their moose encounters and they made them out to be scarier than satan. like one person said running into a moose was more frightening than running into a bear. also a lot of people said they're scary because they run out into the road a lot and if you hit them with your car you're practically dead because they're so big and they'll smash through your windshield and crush you so I made this thread because I have no experience with moose and I wanted to know if these are true
