make it so you can only dislike like one or two a month/etc. so you only use them for the real Disagreeable(tm) posts and so people don't abuse it

I would become the god of receiving the dislike button. I support this idea.

having upvote/downvote systems on forums is reddit cancer cancer seems more like a potentially fatal disease that's taken multiple family members and friends of mine than an insult for basic features online or uh.. Anything, but ok Anyway I kind of like the idea, it might even cut down on "drama" bc then instead of blatantly voicing offense for small things people can show their displeasure non verbally and end it there without arguments or anything

I vaguely remember vintage wcf not being able to handle the 5-star rating system but hey maybe we've moved on

I feel like certain users might get every single post they make downvoted or the same people would target and single out and bully more, just in a passie aggressive way that cant exactly be reported easily or tracked and proven if they suddenly undislike it.
But in theory, I agree with you.

But in theory, I agree with you. I agree with you for these very reasons. I don't think this is a good idea because it could too easily be abused for bullying people. Only if like, people that are blocked by the person couldn't like/dislike that person's post, then maybe?

(It's literally a joke you guys. It's fine. I don't even think it's possible to get a dislike option on proboards, so it's not going to happen.)

I think that if there has to be a downvote/thumbs down function, it should be anonymous so people aren't like "why are you disliking my post?!??!!????"

can't believe i woke up to 8 notifs for saying "cancer" like this hasn't always been a thing on the internet hhng cancer jokes aren't really funny. My dad had cancer (he's thankfully cancer free). I don't think it is something that should be joked about. :/
