idk why im bringing this up rn bc i feel dumb and scared already but today i accidentally looked at the sun thru my phone (it was on lowest brightness setting) for a few seconds when i was taking a picture and i didn't look at it 100% directly or during the eclipse at all but ive had a slight headache all day and my eyes are slightly sore and i scared myself googling blindness symptoms + signs
and im basically convinced im gonna wake up with blatant solar retinopathy symptoms :-/// i didnt trust anyone's viewing glasses (thank god i didn't use any of the ones from dutch bros) and it was only a few seconds but that's enough to rly damage the eyes and im highkey scared rn ???

OOC I've had a headache too, though I suspect mine is from not drinking enough, not getting enough sleep, and being out in the sun. I only glimpsed at the sun through the glasses that the police were handing out and I only did it for a second, if that. But I understand your fear. Give it a few days, or if you're really anxious, schedule an eye doctor's appointment to get your eyes checked out.

I'm no doctor, but I don't think you should be too worried. Drink some water, get some rest. If it's there after tomorrow, definitely see if you can get some other opinions. Don't WebMD yourself.
I would guess that you've probably tricked yourself into thinking there's damage, giving yourself real symptoms for a fake reason, when you'll be fine in reality (placebo effect, I think the word I'm looking for is).
