Wrenpaw opened her mouth to respond but quickly bit back her tongue. He was right that she shouldn’t be talking this way to a warrior, and she was well aware that as gloomy and stoic as Snowpool was, he still pulled his weight in the clan far more than she did. Or probably ever would, she thought bitterly. “Well... then maybe I will!” she meowed as she started towards the camp entrance again, trying and failing to shove him aside with her shoulder as she walked. “Seems to me if you spent a bit less time sleeping and a bit more time training you’d be brave enough to threaten me with your claws instead of your position, mouseheart.” She couldn’t help but try to get the last word in as she stepped out of the cave and into the rain, feeling the cold soak into her fur and the wind chill her right back down to the bone just after she got dry.

Wrenpaw started back down the path to the bottom of the mountain. Insults like that were easy to deal with, all she had to do was try even harder and prove them wrong someday, and she was certainly determined now just so she could rub it in that damn tom’s expressionless face.

Snowpool felt the smallest hint of satisfaction when he knew he’d won the argument. He didn’t bother having the last word, deeming it not worth the energy or time. So he continued in what his intention had been, following the she-cat out of the camp to get a glimpse at the weather. Unsurprisingly it was still wet and gray and depressing. He saw the apprentice get all wet again and rolled his eyes. “At least nature is finally being honest about wanting us all dead,” he meowed, not really at her but not entirely to himself either.

Snowpool looked up at the gray sky, blinking at the rain, then down at Wrenpaw. He thought of just letting her go and possibly die out there, but they might have been seen leaving at the same time and if something happened to her he might be held responsible. So with a disgruntled sigh, he followed her down the path. As if the weather weren’t bad enough, now he was on kitsitting duty.

In response to her comment, he shrugged. “I don’t, but my mother and littermates didn’t seem to be so lucky,” he replied, though while the words may have been dark in implication, he said them casually. He had felt enough about their deaths already. It had been a long time since he let himself feel anything about it. Or anything else, really.

{ Ah god I'm so sorry ѕρσσкуѕку that I disappeared for a while, I'll take steps to be a bit more consistent, I'd really like to build up roleplaying to be more of a habit for me because I'm enjoying it a great deal so far.
That said, it has been a while so I feel like my writing and rp skills will have regressed even more and I'm sorry for that, I hope you'll continue to bear with me as I get used to things and feel more comfortable rping here. }

Wrenpaw paused for a moment, forcing herself to keep her head forward, then continued gingerly down the path. “What’re you expecting from me, pity?” she meowed, vaguely aware of his form behind her. “And for that matter, why are you following me out? Finally worked up the courage to brave a bit of rain so you can see how a real warrior gets things done? A waste of time if you ask me, a cat as boring as you is better suited to tending for elders than protecting the clan.” Lightly smirking to herself, Wrenpaw continued towards the forest a bit faster now, though she made no real effort to leave the tom behind or stop him from following after her.

I know not everyone is on or checking in atm but I miss rping and I was thinking it could be fun to each make one new character to get our creativity and muse going? Like a little refresh but without changing anything in the story, you know?
