<sub>Hiro couldn't help but snicker at the she-cat's "Oops", the innocence within her reaction pulling at his heart. Without much thought, the tom did just as he had requested to do and came up close to the she-cat before picking the little twigs from her fur. He had never noticed it quite properly before, but Olivepool's pelt was.. pretty. Smooth to the touch and in appearance alone. Thinking about it left the tom with burning ear tips but he wasn't quite sure why. Nevermind that, Hiro thought dismissively before tossing the twigs out the den entrance and to the ground far below. Once he turned back to his companion he gave her a smile. "Would you mind checking if I have any? With my thick fur it can be hard to reach sometimes, much less tell if there's anything at all.." He trailed off, embarrassment began pricking at him upon hearing his own words. He felt like a kit to be asking such a thing of his friend, but he hoped Olivepool wouldn't mind too much? The tom breathed a sigh before flashing a sheepish grin to the warrior. "I can also try and figure it out myself too! If that's a bother," He added quickly. Hiro knew it wasn't a weird request, but after asking he felt like he was helpless. It was like he didn't want to come off that way when it came to Olivepool, and that left him slightly perplexed.

Ripplepaw felt himself internally relax when Flamepaw agreed. The tom's smile remained as he rested himself down next to Flamepaw. Though his ears pricked when the medicine cat apprentice spoke. Somehow that surprised the apprentice. Flamepaw seemed a lot more shy and quiet to him that Ripplepaw thought he would be sparking conversation. It made the apprentice feel much more at ease, for he didn't want to bother Flamepaw. "Indeed, and some time has gone by since the last time the clan welcomed new kits," He mewed with quiet excitement. His blue gaze scanned over to all of his clanmates gathering faces. It appeared it would be sometime until this night would be over yet many of his clanmates were still active, he felt satisfied with that. He always appreciated how AetherClan was a close knit group, and he could feel the support that silently echoed all around. Ripplepaw soon peered at Flamepaw for a brief moment. "What made you want to be a Medicine Cat? If you don't mind answering, anyway," The question left him as soon as he thought it. Learning why Flamepaw pursued this path was an interest to him, since many times over it was as if Medicine Cats were forced into the life. Their similarity in age let the tom feel it was an okay thing to ask, because asking someone like Cloudfeather seemed like a sore subject.</sub>

{ No I'm still totally down for Azure to be their father and clover be their step mother and they all co parent together, but maybe I'm remembering the plot differently. I remember we did actual plan that sunny would tell him he's the father but he wasn't but because of his past he didn't want to leave the kits without a father, so after the kitting they were going to talk it about and Azure would be their adoptive father. He never gave her a jay's feather, because he's supposed to be mates with Clover.

You're thoughts and everything you just wrote there is actually what was supposed to happen, I mean rping out the actual part of being like Oh azure you're the father is making me feel bashful. lol }

Bluepaw could immediately sense that Ghostlight was uncomfortable, and she was proven right by his drawn out and bashful explanation, but she still wasn't prepared for the real answer when it came. She felt her cheeks and ears grow hot quickly, the surprise and embarrassment causing her heart to speed up a bit. She could hear the tom's accelerated heartbeat beneath his pelt as well. Briefly she was glad he wasn't looking at her, but of course the moment she thought about it his gaze returned and met her wide blue eyes. Great, now he would see how surprised she was. She had meant to maintain a relatively cool air—he was a warrior, after all! But the fact that he was visibly uncomfortable too made her feel a bit better. They were at least uncomfortable together. "Oh..." she started, realizing she should probably have spoken by now. "Do you want to go somewhere else?" she asked, trying to do the proper thing, though disappointment at the idea of not getting to see such an intriguing place was clear in her tone of voice and in her eyes.

Olivepool had to suppress the urge to twitch her pelt at the contact, not wanting to disturb the tom's task. She returned his smile when he was done. "Thanks!" she meowed, a small purr rising in her throat at the gentle kindness of the gesture. "Of course not," she replied, almost letting out a small laugh at his over-explaining. It was endearing, she decided. So was the sheepish smile and matching look in his eyes. Before he could start to ramble nervously again, she stepped closer and inspected his pelt. She carefully examined the fur across his back and on his tail, nosing at a couple thicker tufts to make sure she wasn't missing anything. "Nothing there!" she stated, giving one spot that seemed to have been disheveled by the climb a quick lick to smooth it out. Then she leaned back, but without having taking a step back she found herself closer to Hiro's face than expected. "Sorry," she mewed, shuffling back a bit. Her ears felt warm.


{ I'm really enjoying rping with Ripple. It feels like he's my nephew or grandson or something cause his mother is one of my characters. Weird but cool lol. Also for some reason I had so much muse for this boy? I love his INFJ introspection. }

Flamepaw could feel Ripplepaw relax beside him, in turn making him more relaxed. It was almost calming even, to have another presence there to ground him to reality and distract from the swirling anxieties he often seemed to fall into. He nodded at Ripplepaw's comment. It was true—the clan needed kits. It seemed like several letters were born around the same time, including his and the other tom's, but for a while now there has been none. It was always good to have new kits, but it was especially important in times with so few. He felt his clanmate's gaze land and linger on him, but didn't return it until Ripplepaw spoke. The question was pretty out of nowhere, but he supposed with the kitting going on it made sense to be thinking about medicine cats in general. "No, I don't mind," he replied, shaking his head slightly to emphasize. "I don't like violence, for one, so warrior training and duties would have been hard on me," he began, looking at his paws sheepishly. He knew it wasn't crazy to be bothered by those things, and he didn't mind being different than most cats, but it still felt like a strange thing to admit. He didn't know why. "I also like helping others feel better. It makes me feel better myself," he continued, gaze returning to the apprentice's. This he felt more comfortable sharing. It was who he has been for as long as he could remember.

_{Ripplepaw had to keep his fur from rising when he noticed the 'clan drama' so to speak involving Azurefall and Sunnydawn. Somehow the apprentice found what had just unfolded in front of him to be weird, or unexpected even. Had he ever noticed Azurefall and Sunnydawn to be that close? Because Azurefall from his memory, anyway, he never been successful with any relationships, not even to forget the fact that when the ginger queen in question went into labor.. the blue-gray tom was still slinking around Cloverrose.. Hmm.. interesting, Though before Ripplepaw could begin to pick apart his clanmates' relationships more, it was Flamepaw's voice that halted him and regained the tom's attention once again. So it was his choice, Ripplepaw couldn't help but smile upon hearing Flamepaw's answer. If he had to be blunt, he was relieved that someone so close to his age had chosen this path, and that the tom wasn't 'forced' to do something such as helping others. It made him trust Flamepaw more than he thought he would. "You have a good heart Flamepaw," He complimented simply while meeting the medicine cat apprentice's gaze. "Don't let anyone call you soft-hearted for that. The clan needs more cats like you around to keep the battle-hungry ones in check," Ripplepaw added after, as if to explain himself. The apprentice himself was not one for violence either, and if he had it his way then most things would be decided through discussion. Not to say he wouldn't unsheathe his claws if the situation called for it, because sometimes there are things worth fighting for. But, preferences are preferences. Just thinking over it left the tom's tail swaying back and forth with contemplation.}
