He was still conscious of ruining the mood by saying the wrong thing, but he had to try something. "This is really not how I planned this to go, but... Honeysplash, I don't want to just be another clanmate to you from now on." Where was he going with this? Honestly, he was winging it at this point. "What I'm trying to say is... I love you. Even if the tom already had a feeling how she was going to respond - thanks to his stupid outburst earlier -, that didn't at all comfort him and lessen his desire to run away and hide his face for a moon. His face burned with embarrassment. Cloverrose with Thornpaw and Icepaw Cloverrose tried not to let Icepaw's biting remarks get to her. She didn't talk with the younger she-cat often, but knew her to be quite the little spitfire - in fact, she had to wonder how in StarClan's name Cedarstripes handled mentoring the willful apprentice without blowing his top off -, so she knew not to take her words to heart. The she-cat's smile didn't waver as she listened to the two address her. "Well, why didn't you say so in the first place! We can all go together!" she declared. Sure it may not have been what they initially planned, but it was more practical and safer to go on a dawn patrol with a warrior anyway, and she was sure the two apprentices knew that. "I was going to take Thornpaw out to learn some battle moves, but it's a bit early anyway. Maybe after we're done, we can see if Cedarstripes is awake yet and train together," she offered to Icepaw before turning back towards the camp entrance. To be honest, Cloverrose was looking for an excuse to go out and escape the stiff and tiring atmosphere of camp. It certainly didn't escape her attention that some of her clanmates hadn't taken Thornpaw's defense of Cinderspark well, if some of the looks he was getting was anything to go by.

tigercry I wouldn't mind if you alert me of when you'll be away rather than joining and not mentioning such a thing.  Medicine cat apprentice is not for claim atm. We have someone going to have their character express interest in the position but subsequently realize its not for them. If you'd be up to waiting for after that, goldenpaw could be the second apprentice. 😅]
