I think when you read them as an adult you can read the little nuances that can often go over the head of a much younger reader. Whether the author intended that or not, it is true. I have read a lot of books I loved as a kid, and found better understanding and more depth reading them as an adult. And as an elder adult. . it is even more so.

I'd just like to mildly point out that I oh-so-slyly got my 62-year-old mother into the books. She's completed the entire series, and is doing her best to get the rest of the family into them!

I am LOL I am 60. I have four cats too three of which are Maine coon cats. I chose my SN because my Phantom, who pased in 2007, was without doubt, a true warrior cat. Thanks. Phantom lived to be 16 years old. So I can't complain too much. I read all the warrior's books too and even had to write fan fiction! Loved your FB page! omg my first warriors rp (and first rp ever) was with a bunch of people in their 30s, the oldest person there was 73 and i was 13 xD it's more common than you think!

Honestly, I think it's the kind of series that can be enjoyed on some level by most if not all ages. I'm still very young but I don't intend to grow out of it lol

There's plenty of "adult" themes in Warriors. Discrimination, racism, dictatorship, forbidden love, brainwashing.... Plenty of it.

Just for children? Nope, don't think so. I'm 13 and I don't consider myself a kid. While I did start reading warriors when I was a little kid, I don't intend on growing out of it.

I think something can be geared towards kids while still being able to draw in adults.
It's all based on the idea that kids aren't stupid, and you can present them with challenging material.
Obviously it doesn't have to be Tolstoy or anything, but it doesn't have to be The Little Engine That Could either.
