So, I was made aware of this forum existing by the always lovely Tues, and I thought I'd pop over and say hi to all you guys! It's actually really funny, because the other day I was thinking about how the WFF was like my first writing community, and how I wished I could talk to some of you again, and then I get home from camp and there's a message from Tues and I dunno, it felt right to come and say hi.
So. How have you been? What've I missed. (It's been MORE THAN A YEAR. It's been, what, a year and a half? Longer? It's crazy). I want to hear everything and about how you guys have been doing and about how your writing is going. TELL ME ALL.

yeah, not a problem!! it cropped up right before the wcf shut down, and it's been alive and kicking ever since. people spread the link like wildfire in those last days, and the mods probably went out of their minds trying to stop all the outside link sharing, lol. good times.
as for writing, there's actually a lot happening! shadow is nearing the end of curse (only a few chapters left!), i'm working on a bazillion fics against my better judgment (somehow, cat hell always catches up to me), dingo is reviving return to dust, and we have sooooooo many other fics, new and old. i think phantom just finished new blood (which i need to read), saph is doing a fic based around the canon oots arc but different in her delightful saph way, crescent is working on sisters so atrocious (a beautiful title), mint is just CRUISING through fics that she reads and writes, moss hosted the wff beach bash again this summer, and and and and there's a ton! c: definitely poke around, have a look for yourself just to see how much there really is for a forum that's only been around for about a year so far.

Ooo, I remember that. I got banned like, twenty minutes before it shut down because I was giving too many people my email and how to contact me through Twitter. I liked to imagine this person just gritting their teeth and clicking the "ban" button at like 11:40 at night, even though everything was getting shut down.
I need to make the rounds and say hi! I've missed everyone.

It seemed really odd, because like, they're not going to have jobs in twenty minutes, either. Maybe it was a spite thing, because we probably made them frustrated a lot.
I was super excited when I saw the private message thing. I love private messages.

Yes, I finally finished NEW BLOOD Born of Smoke and Fire, and New Blood-Trapped. That last was from a contest prompt where I picked Blizzard as the prompt. I can't even recall who started the contest as it was on the old forum board. I have many little short NEW BLOOD tales from contests and prompts.
At least with NEW BLOOD finished, anyone can catch up now as it won't get any longer LOL.
Those last forum days were insane! I worked like a crazy person to move as much as my stuff as possible, and did including my old Curse Marathon page with the story razz and I were working on!
As for me, I age, deal with what that brings to life but doing ok. Hubby was laid off a year ago and decided just to retire! Its been a wacky year for sure and I added another Maine Coon to my household, Darwin and Abby's half sister, Jaja. She couldn't have kittens and the breeder put her up for adoption. She was the kitten hubby and I had dibs on if the breeder didn't keep her but why she never let me know JaJa was up for adoption i don't know! I h guess she thought we already had three cats. Long story short Jaja came home to us reunited with her sister, Abby, and that is a story I will eventually tell in book form!

Heyyy! Still minted and still here! As I already said, I missed you a lot. I remember how we used to talk and I missed that. So since the move over, I've finished one fic. It's called Mortality and I'm happy to say that after so long it is really nice to finally feel like I finished the first ever fic that I started (ages ago, I wrote a story called 'A New Life' and corresponding stories. Mortality was the rewrite.) Now I'm working on an Au called Where There's is Smoke, which is about the son of Cinderpelt and Littlecloud in a world where Tigerstar rules the Clans. As Tuesday...hehe...pointed out, I'm still reading a ton of fics at once, though I'm a little slow in keeping up because school/life/other forum things. Moss hoisted the Beach Bash again this year and Tuesday did a prompt contest. It was soooo fun! I loved binge-writing. xD Phantom, Sea, and a ton of new authors have finished their fan fictions, which is awesome! (Now I just have to finish reading them...) Some new, notable authors (okay, they are all notable, but the ones I've gotten to know) are Owlmoon, who basically is this really awesome forumer who writes a fan fiction called Tigerstar's Betrayal and they are reading and supporting so many authors :') and then there's Thunderfire, who is writing new stories/shorts a lot of the time, and birdflight, who write these really good stories that explore some of the background characters in the Warriors series. Shadowface started another Curse marathon, which will probably get pretty crazy, at least on my end. Some playlist libraries for stories have started to turn up, thanks to Tues, because those are pretty fun. We have a bunch of new authors, as well as some older forumers who have started new ones. Oh, and since I was saying what I was writing, I also have a bunch of shorts and other things in Off-Topic Writing now as well.  Good to see you back! |
