Most of the fandom has been wondering this

I feel like the concept wouldn't bother me as much if they'd just balance the clans a little better
Like half the time you've got Thunderclan with 30 warriors and Windclan is staggering at like, 6? That doesn't seem realistic, and very unfair for battles.

The Cats is still pretty active, but anyway, I agree. Many characters should be killed off by now, especially the older cats, though that seems to be changing with the most recent arc.

>"nobody goes in the cats" >the cats is one of the most active boards
it'd be less annoying if any of those 30 warriors had personalities

They were so game of thrones at the start why not again Also. domestic cats can live to be up to 21 years old, and considering that in warriors they have medicince cats, it isn't out of place to assume they'd live that long. Most outside cats don't live that long ( average 8 or so), and considering medicine cats use herbs and other traditional medicines, I am surprised that more cats don't die lol

I'd be fine with long-lived cats except it breaks continuity with how Bluestar, Tigerstar, Whitestorm, etc. were supposed to be old as of the first book (and not even "wow they haven't been killed yet" but as in old age) (Whitestorm seriously!?)
but the answer is probably mostly HarperCollins

They're too attached to their characters.

They have constant contact with ticks, which could transmit deadly tick-borne illnesses, and no herbs can help with that. The original series was more accurate about just how deadly it is for outdoor cats, and it's not like the use of the herbs got more advanced with the series (even if they did really help). It's dangerous out there.

Agreed, TLH should have been a massacre

I agree so much. I wish there were only about 15 warriors in a Clan at one time, and that the Erins actually bothered to balance the Clans. TLH should have made the Clans a lot more underpopulated, then have them slowly grow again. They're so attached to their characters.

They have about as many cats now as there are in a decently popular fan clan.

They said in Erin Chat 4 a while back that they don't list everyone who's in the Clan on the allegiances [so WindClan definitely has more than 5 warriors], but still. That doesn't excuse not trying to develop at least some of the characters who are actually shown, and it would be nice if the crowd was thinned a little.

in the sample for tigerheart's shadow, there are a grand total of 32 warriors.
counting all of the cats, there's 42 in the entire clan.
comparing that to windclan who has only 19 cats and,, ,, ,
a giant meteor should just hit thunderclan at this point
