*puts you in a slow cooker with various vegetables and seasoning and leaves to sit for four hours*
If I remember correctly you weren't doing so well mentally. I'd rather you take care of yourself than be miserable.

i deserve to be miserable though! i've self-sabotaged constantly throughout the years and everything that hurts me is mostly my fault!
i don't want to take care of myself, i don't want to give myself false hope!

college isnt for everyone. i didnt even go to college. as long as you keep working you'll meet new people and find new opportunities to move up in life. get those connections. ur not worthless just cause youre not in school anymore, tons of people drop out and hit rock bottom but eventually you'll figure it out and find new ways to succeed in life. im not gonna insult you cause you dropped out and neither should anyone else imo. just take it easy for a little while. college is overhyped af anyway

I honestly understand what you're feeling. I feel this way right now. Have felt this way in the past. I might feel this way again in the future too. But just keep on keeping on. Find other things. Anubis said school isn't for everyone, and it's true. what you get for marks in a class doesn't value your worth. You can find other places to focus yourself in.
I'm currently focusing on work. Sometimes it doesn't feel good to be doing only that but hey. I get paid after i wake up and go somewhere and do some work. That doesn't happen with school. If you can feel the same way about something else. it's really fine.
Plus you can always go back to school if you feel that strongly about it. It doesn't have to be now, and heck, it can be in 89 years if you want. Just take it one day at a time. it's okay. Take care of yourself.

I dropped out of college and am a mostly normal functioning adult. My brother graduated college and has done nothing with his life since.
When you suffer from depression/anxiety (I think it was depression you said you suffered from?) you aren't self sabotaging, your brain just can't handle the pressures of life and heal itself at the same time. You have to take care of your body first, or you will continue to get overwhelmed and dig yourself deeper trying to spread yourself too thin (at least that was my experience). I cannot express how big of a difference medication makes, but it can take quite a while to find the right meds for you. I remember how terrible it feels to feel the way you do now, but I also knows what it feels like to come out on the other side. I'd like to tell you it will get better, but realistically it will probably get worse first (as you mentally beat yourself up over dropping out). Please care enough about yourself to get help, I promise it will eventually get better, and you will start to remember that you ARE worth it. I know what I'm saying won't have any kind of meaningful impact on you now, chances are you're skimming this right now because you don't agree with it, but all I can do is share my experience of living through what you are going through now.
If you want to look at it on the brighter side though, you will be going out into the same working world as your peers, just with less student debt.

My dad never went to college and he runs a business. You're okay. Same, actually xD He's more worldly than I am and has visited every continent except for Australia and Antarctica (though he is going to Australia later this year)

What does he do to go to that many places? Just vacation? Or volunteer work there? Either way, that's pretty cool. Since I want to brag, my dad fluently speaks English and three dialects of Chinese (which are all practically separate languages tbh).

RedfleckThat's so cool that your dad is multilingual! My dad knows a few necessary phrases in some different languages (like French, Italian, German, etc) but I keep bugging him to actually try and become fluent in one xD My dad works with first responders on medical teams, selling them products (like stretchers, defibrillators, those first aid dummies you use in CPR training, and a bunch of other stuff). Since he both is a sales rep for a company, and then runs his own separate one, he has to go to a lot of global conferences. His next big trip is to Japan, and I'm insanely jealous/might have to hide in his suitcase, haha
