Silly bands and beanie babies were a couple of the big ones.
Also, I don't know if this counts, but when I was in elementary school (around grades 4-5) there were a group of us who were obsessed with finding bugs. At recess, we would sometimes look around in the grass and see how many beetles we could find.

Back in my middle school we had Webkinz, "The Game", those pens with the googly-eyed animal toppers on them, mangas in general (if you were one of the nerds like me), animal-eared hoodies, Stride gum, Jones colored sodas....I could go on but those were the big ones

At recess, we would sometimes look around in the grass and see how many beetles we could find. We would do bug finding too! Me and my friend were the "leaders" and every recess we would have a group of people sitting on the ground and digging in the mulch for worms and other bugs.

elementary school: cheese touch silly bandz Webkinz bananas (and specifically the banana song)* mustaches Warriors but that was like 10 people including me
middle school: "we don't do that here" in seventh grade there was a traffic cone on the football field and like half the boys would line up and take turns jumping over it??? I don't know if that counts everyone knowing the song Bring Me to Life (in fact during dance class some of my friends made a dance set to it) Minecraft phone version
high school Bubble Shooter, Pokémon emulators, Minecraft (during school) my friend actually caused a rise in the use of the word "grody" but then she gave up before it really took off but I heard people starting to use it ??? I'm sure there were more but I would have to actually interact with people to know them ???
*I have a banana you have a banana we all have bananas let's sing

my friend actually caused a rise in the use of the word "grody" but then she gave up before it really took off but I heard people starting to use it we also tried to do a similar thing, except like frindle so one kid invented this word, "snif", and it meant "cool" and the point was to get it to be in widespread use and make it a real word. but that did not happen
