So there's a pretty big wildfire up in the wilderness near my town, and the smoke has gradually been creeping over the mountains for the past week and a half. Woke up this morning to a hazy brownish-red sky and ash on my back deck. Little specks of ash are lightly drifting down like snow and it smells horrible outside. It's actually kind of hard to breathe, my chest is burning a bit atm.
Worst part is, I don't think we'll be able to see the eclipse very well if it continues.

It's pretty bad, at least in my opinion. I'm told the Biscuit Fire was worse tho. We don't generally get fires around here. This one was caused by a lightning strike.
Cool! Chances are, knowing our weather, it'd probably be foggy even if it wasn't smokey, haha. Maybe I'll watch it on tv, too. Who's broadcasting?

Right before I left for vacation, the valley air was full of smoke from Canadian wildfires. Every time I went outside my eyes would start watering and my nose would start running really bad.
I'm glad the air quality has cleared up quite a bit here. Smokey air sucks.
